You get as much enjoyment out of it as any other game you would play before the grind kicks in full force and you stop.

timegating, underwhelming updates, devs that ignore big problems and don't know how to balance the game and screwing things up in purpose that reduce the QoL of the game

Revealing the latest large-scale content update at Tennocon became their no1 priority ever since they discovered it's extremely successful at generating revenue and buzz.
So every year since, they work their asses off trying to upstage their previous showcase with an even larger and more ambitious update. As a result 90% of the things that gave the game charm have been put on-hold indefinitely.
Everything now permeates an air of "oh more of the same stuff ugh" stagnation, with Tennocon to keep the seasonal steam rolling.
If they don't realize this and deal with it soon, they'll have another moderatorgate controversy on their hands and it'll cost them players.
