I want to get into Bayonetta because I heard it had really amazing combat. I’ve heard that 2 is way better, however I only have a PC. Is the first game still worth getting, does the first Bayonetta have mostly the same, really fun combat?

Yes. Bayonetta is 100% worth playing. Even if the the sequel refined thr combat a bit one is really solid.

The first one is unironically better though. In spite of all Kamiya’s bullshit that he put in as a joke, it’s a much better action game. 2 is only recommended higher by casuals.

Bayonetta 1 is a much better game if you care about the combat. 2 has a better paced campaign, no QTEs, and more spectacle to bossfights but dumbed down the combat hard because of some genuinely stupid balance changes.
And you'll be playing individual chapters selectively to git gud or replay your favourite segments for 90% of your playtime if you get into it so the better flow of the first playthrough matters less than you'd think.

Bayo 1 is considered to be better than 2 by a lot of players. It's one of my favorite action games along with Ninja Gaiden 2, I recommend that you play it.
