From bedrooms to billions was okay I guess. But it's was about bongland and mostly european computers if I remember right.

You joke but these look interesting

G4 Icons. It's a show from the 2000s and the episodes are usually about consoles and sometimes people. Most, if not all of the episodes are posted to YouTube.

the Indie Game Movie

Bongs had computers??

Sure. zx spectrum and shit like that

Indie Game: The Movie is probably the best
Get Lamp is a doc about text adventures, mite b good
I believe there's a Making of Oblivion doc on youtube which is supposed to be very good

The top one should be especially interesting nowadays, since it was captured right at the very start of the indie boom and it's a very novel look at how things were at the time with three of the biggest names.

Only watch indie game the movie if you never want to buy another "indie game" ever again. There's maybe one guy in the whole thing who doesn't cry and whine about every fucking thing.

Anything relevant tho? I know amiga was big there

I forgot to add, there's also the Runescape doc, which you can find on youtube. This one's not very good though since it's just a very shallow glimpse at everything in the game's history, and there's just way too much general flair and overproduction gloss and not enough focus on the people who actually fucking matter, like the founders. This one kind of lessened the charm of classic RS actually.
Jon Blow and Phil Fish aren't exactly a good model for indie devs as a whole.

Jeez that bad?

the smash bros melee one is p good I liked it, really goes into the ENTIRE melee scene along with alot if not all of the names that are in the community

Chasing ghosts is a pretty interesting one about the 80s arcade scene

It's not exactly a big documentary, but it's really interesting.

Really liked some of the Psychonauts retrospectives.

The King of Kong was a great documentary on the competitive arcade game scene.

Really? The movie just made me more passionate about game dev. They put so much work into their games. Of course you're going to be whiny when you get fucked over during development and on launch day.

Noclip has some interesting series, the DOOM and Warframe ones are my favourites.
