Not after a week, but after the first few months Classic will see a drastic dropoff of players.
But Blizzard doesn't care, because you buy the sub for both current and classic WoW. So Blizzard wins either way. Even if Classic does see a huge playerbase after the hype wears off, they can just show share holders the sub increase and justify any decisions they want to make. And if you don't like it? "Screw this, I'm gonna go play Classic!" they still get money from you.
