The game uses only 1 GB of ram by default so please do yourself a favor and manually change it. Go to C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\Ice-Pick Lodge\Pathologic 2\Settings ; right click "External optimization settings " scroll down till you see

I havent fucked with any other settings but this significantly makes the game run smoother, if any other tech savy user tried them please let us know. THIS SETTING RESETS AFTER EVERY PATCH so you need to change it back to your desired RAM usage

I found about this whole thing about a week ago when I was lurking steam forums and reddit for performance issues and this was popped up. I'm glad I could help because I had similar problems, I play it on basically lowest settings since I'd rather have more fps than better details. I haven't touched other settings out of fear that the game will permanently tank my RAM but the smart alloc setting one seems to work normally and doesn't seem to steal any RAM memory after you exit the game.
use lockpics, once the lockpick breaks on the worm it will instakill, when fighting HUMAN kin they will NOT aggro you right away when you walk out, so walk behind one of them, give them a weak punch and RUN toward the tracks. You only need to lure ONE of them. The quest will update when you kill one of them while the group is slightly away from his hideout. So what you need is to lure the whole group out and only make ONE kin human follow you and kill him, it worked for me every time
2 grace gets taken away and lives with Stamatin.
3 you report back to kapella that there is no immortal soul AND you have a chance to meet up with Fat vlad for a small mini quest later, some days later I think

game makes a distinction, sometimes you talk to "Clara" and sometimes you talk to "Changeling". You make the deal with the changeling, meaning the plague one. Only the plague one would know if you made the deal with the plague one. In devotress's campaign you don't even KNOW you have a twin, and you don't even want to believe it at first, I suppose it's the same deal in this game. Clara probably has some sort of connection with her twin, but they both have separate goals. In patho 1 you both visit the cathedral as clara in her campaign where you touch the people. All is fine at this point, but also your twin comes back soon afterwards and leaves I think something like a necklace in there. There's also the fact that people often asked you "You're back so soon? I just saw you walk out of the door" when we first met them in the first game, meaning we often walked the same steps out sister took, missing eachother by a minute

you need to find three groups of kids in the stoneayrd, it's the landmass that's on the left side of the map. There's one behind the cathedral, one behind kains' house, and one to the north near the tombs. They will give you directions, other directions can be found in the cashes they point you to

you'll find plenty of good loot and clothes in places like infected houses. The only thing you should consider buying in terms of clothing are repelent cloaks for upgrading your inventory

I played the original pathologic and the classical HD with all three characters and patho. 2 still managed to kick my shit in and shit on my expectations game wise. I loved the fact that you never have time for anything and they’re always pressed for time one way or another was an amazing feeling, but at the same time we’re often exposed to over stimulation and therefore we can’t properly take in the atmosphere. Like when aglaya finally comes, or when army arrives, we don’t really have time to catch a breather and explore all those new things because there’s simply so much shit to deal with. When old time fans have problems at first with the game then a random Joe Smith who never heard about the game before will most likely have same problems as well. I can perfectly understand people who can’t focus on the plot when there’s a lot of things to take care of
devs in the interview said they never wanted map markers to be a thing and wanted players to use their brains to figure out quests and important places but they understood they need to strike a balance here

I think they did that because it's fucking hard to actually have your bound die in the first one and the system in this one makes keeping people alive much harder. I played every campaign and don't ever remember having to worry about my bound.

Lads, how common are deaths? Im on day 4 and have died 2x, which apprently means I cant hug people anymore. This really makes me want to restart but ive already put in 9 hours.

Eh, keeping the list alive isn't too bad. They could easily have a threshhold, like a two death max. It's pretty disappointing.

Well, considering the payoff from the correct ending is walking around and talking to all the characters having your bound dead still kind of ruins it.

That's fair. My ideal would be another "secret" ending with more challenging requirements, but maybe they'll still do that as they release more.

They used to have those two meta ending scenes depending on whether you only kept your own bound alive or other characters' as well, but considering the more "hidden" meta aspects with the developers and the children seem to have been severely downplayed in favor of the more on-the-nose theater stuff I don't think they'll make a comeback.
Maybe they could make it a happier ending instead? Since this time even blowing up the Polyhedron has more obvious downsides.

Anyone finish a no one dying run at default difficulty? I feel like it's possible. I lost one family member from the abattoir arc, one character that disappeared on me, and one normally.

There was probably a dude standing in the area that you can opt to manually kill to progress the quest.

The changelling implied she will see "the people upstairs" or something like that and we have no idea what's really going on in the Diurnal ending, and we reply that maybe we'll see it from her perspective one day. I'm curious if they're hinting at an even more meta route for her.

Yeah, his clothes are a bit of a cartoonish shade of green, but his face is more or less the same, since he's still based on Dybowski. I think the only notable difference is that his hair got darker, but he looks more like the photo than the old 3D model did.

Most characters look like hobos now, but i like new clara(clothes), daniil, alexander and stamatins design. Artemy looks too skinny and not massive at all

Forgot to say that when I replied, yeah, he doesn't really do justice to the description of a lumbering blood-covered giant you get all the time in the old game. He should've been larger, and the clothes really do look cartoonish. What the Hell is with that color?

Yeah, it's really a shame. Half his charm is what an intimidating motherfucker he is.
I'm also disappointed you don't get the character's illustration in the inventory like in Marble Nest. The artwork looked really cool.
