You did save everyone right?
You did save everyone right?
Naturally. I even force quit to savescum the BS death with the mine trapdoor.
Of course, I watched Super Best Friends play this movie for me. Not only did I save everybody, I also saved 60 bucks.
Everyone except the black guy
I fucked up at literally the last moment. I thought the Jock had gotten out since every other person escaped one after the other. Then when there was a space between the second to last and the Jock getting out, I thought I was done and booked it.
Then he blew up. Made me sad.
When's the sequel? Furthermore, where's all the porn using the models of this game?
They are doing a horror game anthology right now. A bunch of games that are shorter but have more branching options. Man from Medan is the first one.
The trailer looks weird though, it looks like the whole thing is prerendered.
August 30th, well not really a sequel but yea same devs.
Saved everyone except Ashley and Sam. Ashley was my fault, because I was an idiot who wanted to investigate a cry for help and there wasn't an option to call out to the rest of the group and tell them what you heard.
And my last mistake was on the literal final "Hold Still" moment with Sam. Which really pissed me off at the time, because I guess holding my controller flat against my lap isn't holding still enough.
Was Man from Medan confirmed to be a smaller game?
That's bittersweet. I really liked the look of the setting from the trailer.
Yeah, but in retrospect I should have killed Emily.
>Writes realistic horror story
>Ruins it by putting in supernatural vondongo at the end
It vibrates during the final hold stills
Yeah, but there are going to be other games coming shortly after it (theoretically)
I don't supposed that they're cheaper then?
The 'twist' with the fake serial killer was really well done, but it's about all I remember from the game
No, absolutely everyone but badass Mike died. It was glorious
>That's bittersweet.
I suppose it's a design decision like user said, in order to give you more choices. That, or there's not much material to gather from the legend it's based on.
Yup. Not really hard to do.
I thought the idea of therapy sessions influencing the story was done better in Shattered Memories, but I thought Peter Stormare looked like he was having an absolute blast with the role. And I really liked Josh's nightmare sequences and conflict of guilt over the whole thing.
I think it's a little disappointing that there wasn't any way to save him and have some sort of redemption arc in the end though.
Based.
Exactly the same two deaths. Exactly.
I think those two moments were the only two non-retarded moments you could really die if you had common sense. All the other deaths were obviously avoidable. Maybe the flare gun, I could see how some people would not have it end up saving Emily and the other guy, but that was it.
But as I said, I savescummed past both to have everyone live.
This "game" was great. Excellent atmosphere and setting.
You mean Until Dawn featuring Oscar Award Winning Actor Rami Malek!
Hopefully, though I don't think they've said anything about pricing yet.
The touchpad bullshit ruined my playthrough
Apparently his fans keep making Until Dawn jokes at him, I'm surprised he isn't driven mad by it all, or turn into a serial killer/wendigo.
more importantly, you saved Chad, right?
Everyone was evil bullies, why would I want to save them?
Also the only person I would actually want to save is impossible to save.
>Owning a PS4
>character starts out as asshole bully jock that you expect to die in the first twenty minutes
>becomes best action hero in the end and friend to wolves
Mike was great.
Gotta feel sorry for Chris and Sam getting wrapped up in everything. Sam immediately calls everyone out on being assholes, and Chris was just wanted to take a nap.
Cope poorfag
Sam wasn't an evil bully and wasn't amongst them in their shitty "prank".
Granted, Sam is pretty much a Mary Sue character without flaws but, still, she was the only female other than Jess to show fanservice in the game. I'd save that blonde booty.
>Mike turned out to be the best character
what a pleasant surprise
He knows it's just a prank, bro
>it's just a prank, bro
>he misses the opportunity to use the "It's just a prank, Han"
You had one job user.
Sam is cute
so which game do you think is better?
this or Detroit?
Played a single play through.
Saved everyone except Rami Malek's character.
He died in the water in that cave or w.e.
The game is too easy to save everyone desu
Graphics are really impressive. Shame they didn't release a pro patch or a PC release
never played this but I palyed Detroit
it was great but falls off as the story progresses
the choices really matter and are very fluid
the visuals are breathtaking if you have a PS4 pro
Detroit
This for sure. It was just overall a much more solid piece.
Detroit was ambitious but it was also hamfisted as hell.
This was a better story with less shitty dialogue.
Hank and Connor saved Detroit, but when the stories merged at the end robot jesus had to fuck up their arc too.
Kind of apples and oranges. I thought Until Dawn was fun and had strong atmosphere, but still falls under some of my issues with "false branching choice" games and slasher films where a lot of characters are required to be a bit stupid or mean just to get the plot rolling.
Detroit falls under a lot of David Cage's usual issues of blunt and hammy emotional moments, but it's probably his best work, with some big fun set-pieces, neat ideas, and cleverly done branching sequences.
Why not just jack off to real women?
Mr. Robot got his head squished for me.
Wow I thought he only died if literally everyone else was dead.
Detroit is too big for its britches. Until Dawn knows its limitations and is better for it.
And the chink girl as well... I only save white people
If you saved that bitchy chink, you deserve to be cucked eternally.
I killed the nigger on purpose.
Fuck no most of them were dipshits, the only ones worth saving are Chris,Sam,Mike and Josh the other ones can piss off.
Yeah, the flare gun choice is a little odd, because for some reason depending on what you have Matt say about going to the tower earlier changes what he does with it.
The totem says it's wise to give Matt the flare, but depending on what your choice was earlier he might just immediately waste it.
Until Dawn > Detroit > Heavy Rain > being raped by rabid dogs > Beyond Two Souls
I killed everyone I could
based
I think after the asylum Mike was redeemed, after torturing him a little bit of course
Beyond Two Souls is super awkward, but it's still a masterpiece compared to Omikron and the second half of Indigo Prophecy.
>You can't save the actual guy who had wrongs done to him, and didn't deserve anything bad.
Fuck this game.
my nigga
I really loved this game and wish we could see a sequel or more so a "where are they now" type thing with each character. Even if its just a random reddit post by the writers or something. I really like the characters and how they developed through this with the exception of Emily.
Whats your dream "Until Dawn" game? I think a werewolf game would be great.
>finite amount of silver bullets
>anyone can be a werewolf and you have to do detective work to figure out who it could be
>you can play as characters who dont know they are werewolfs and deliver good twists
>fits with the name "Until Dawn"
>creepy transformation scenes like American Werewolf in London deliver spooks
>fast paced shootouts like the wendigo scenes
So everyone?
The Thing
Yeah, any sort of scenario that emphasizes paranoia and mystery among the main group, not knowing who among them can be trusted.
Like The Thing, or even that old freeware horror game 7 Days a Skeptic, where a crew is stranded in space with a potential killer among them.
