they had their moments with MKDS gameplay and mission mode, MKWii was close to replicate the same, they had a Mission Mode planned for the game but it got scrapped at the last minute, you still can find the mission mode menu structure and missions inside the game data, the rest of the missions were re-purposed as Wii Connect24 challenges, if you had the service enabled your Wii led would light up whenever a new challenge was available, i managed to play a lot of them back in the day, they had online leather boards and everything but its a shame they scrapped the local mission mode, more info here wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Mission_Mode#Tutorials
MK7 was pretty enjoyable but they added the god awful parts mechanic, i expected 8 to be like 7 but in HD with zero gravity thing but it turned out to be a rushed turd with RNG out of the ass and unsatisfying gameplay, DX corrects the lack of content but the core gameplay and rooster is still abysmal, im impressed Mario Tenis Aces has a better roster than an actual MK
