Because he has an evil face

To make the game longer

Because he hates gays and you slept with Alistair.

Because Cailan was a naive fool who was putting the country at risk.

This made me laugh more than it should. You're right though..

Because he didn't want anyone fuck his precious little daughter.

whats with the Dragon Age threads? are we getting some DA4 news

But in the end, you still fuck her?

because he wanted to seize the throne and decided that abandoning the king was the best way to so it.

I think one user started playing it again and it had a domino effect

The only thing Logaign did wrong was letting the grey wardens die and allying with the likes of the Howes.
Harden Alistair
Recruit Loghain
Tell Alistair to stop being a bitch and marry Anora.
Do ostagar DLC where it reveals Loghain was right and Calain was a retard
Loghain can redeem himself for being a shitty ruler by being a great general. The rightful king is in power and you are his senechal

Did I do good Yea Forums?

Meh, I hated Alistair.
>Soften Alistair
>Recruit Loghain
>Tell Alistair to fuck off
>Fuck Morrigan
>Deny Morrigan the Old God
>Loghain redeemed
>Marry Anora
>Kill Zevran

Attached: Zevran.png (359x433, 185K)

remember to command loghain to kill the archdemon

The king planned to dump his daughter.

>Deny Morrigan the Old God
based

For the lulz.

>Did I do good Yea Forums?

except not executing Loghain for treason, yes.

Because fuck Orlais.

>REEEEEEEE

Show of hands, how many of you hit that
I did.

After playing Inquisition, honestly he was right. Fuck Orlais the french fucks.

Read the stolen throne

Because he hated the French, like any straight person does.

They also have a habit of coming in to "help" countries with a disaster and then sticking around as an occupying force after and in Loghain's view they probably killed Maric (he conveniently disappeared on the way to talks about unifying the Free Marches against Orlais after all).

Vae Victis. Woe to the conquered.

>can fugg the best tsundere waifu in vidya history
>romance the boring faggy good boi

Fuck you I loved my princess fairy tale ending :3
Need more games with this for my crippling loneliness

why did the army follow his lead?

2 handed warrior is absolute trash compared to dual wielding, how is sword and shield? Was going to do that next playthrough

He's a hero, most of them couldn't see shit, the ones that could see shit realised how fucked they were, once enough started moving one way it didn't matter what the others thought. Take your pick.

Because the king was childlish and goofy and in medieval period men had more loyalty to their lord than king.

Not just in medieval times. It's a reoccurring thing all over the world

He is a paranoid baby boomer, he was more afraid of a Orlais invasion then the blight that had already knocked down his door. To be fair at the time there was no proof that the blight was a real blight, no arch demon had been sighted. The Grey Wardens knew, but they had just spent the past few centuries being exiled from Fereldin and they were not about to tell the King and Loghain that their special warden powers lets them know its a real blight.

Loghain was right that Cailen would have doomed us all, but everything he did afterwords was a betrayal of Fereldin and a betrayal of the beliefs that made him the hero of the nation. Arl Eamon was poisoned before the battle of Ostagar, meaning Loghain had these plans set in motion before he ever saw how huge the dark spawn army was. Eamon was a traitor to Loghain, marrying a Orlais woman. He betrayed the Chantry by promising the mages freedom and he betrayed his own ideal's by allowing the capture and slavery of elves to fund his war effort.

By working together with Howe they killed and took over one of the largest noble houses, attempted assassination of another top tier noble, beat down any who would oppose him or his daughter. He outlawed the Grey Wardens, hired assassins to finish off the few that remained.

Some of these actions make sense for him, the others tell of a deragned power hungry man who has lost touch with reality. This is the man who lead a slaves revolt against one of the most powerful nations in the world, the man who forced the Queen to bend to his knee. This man was once the greatest hero in the world, but is now just a sad old man. He doesn't deserve death but he doesn't deserve any honor in being a grey warden, should have been able to send him to the legion of the dead.

It's pure tank. The damage is okay but it's more about aggro mechanics and control abilities. Kind of boring by itself but Specializations make it a little more interesting.
That said, this cleaving mod makes 2H warrior a little more fun, unique, and viable.

I wish we could persuade Cauthrien at least

You can

You can talk her down at the Landsmeet, you just have to hit the intimidate option as you enter then nail the persuade checks.

Only if you lose to her at first

Which specialisation's would I go for? What about stats? Min for any?

I wish you could bang her corpse

His plan was good but he spent too much time slaughtering and torturing people for no reason

not really, plan was fucked from the getgo because you cant kill an archdemon without a warden

Even if there was no Archdemon, the chaos he caused would have been a perfect opportunity Orlais to invade. No king or heir, Couslands slaughtered, Eamon in a coma, lost a lot of soldiers in Ostagar, civil war between Ferelden lords vs him and Howe. Perfect time to invade.

loghain was an obvious beta. you as the warden play as the alpha. old bioware did it right giving you an annoying beta antagonist.

I forget man. I spent the whole story wanting to murder him, then somehow got convinced at the kingsmeet to spare him so he can fight the archdemon.

beacuse the king cucked his daughter.

should have told morrgrin too fuck off and have Loghain become a hero by killing the archdemon.

Fucking Anora doesn't know she has it good. Women dream of being turned into a cuckquean by the king himself, and she threw all that away.

He REALLY hated Orlais, like really REALLY hated Orlais.
Dude's entire personality is fucking hating the frogs, who Cailan wanted to marry into/ally with.

I mean there is 3 grey wardens, not recruiting another one is a dumb idea. There's no reason not to get loghain (excluding knowledge like you know alistair will leave)

Why the fuck did Riordan just wait until the middle of the Landsmeet to drop the bombshell? They shouldn't have cut the option to have both.

there was an option to have both? and I'm not sure, why was riordan even there

for those who don't know this is what alistair does if the warden dies at ostagar
>alistair let branka make the golems
>alistair let the werewolves slaughter the elves to recruit them
>alistair romanced leliana
>alistair did the dark ritual
wew

alistair is fucking based and made all the right decisions
what are you even trying to insinuate

Alistair is shit because he didn't have a foursome with Leliana, Morrigan, and the Lady of the Forest

You don't know for sure that he didn't, did you even stop to ask?

He does with Leliana, MC and Isabella the pirate whore

Weird thing is he also manages to convince Howe to join

>genocide elves
Best husbando

>dark ritual
>right decision
wew, either way he gets his ass stomped by darkspawn while fighting the archdemon

Read the book

seems the opposite of his personality

YES FAGGOT ITS THE RIGHT DECISION
MY BOY KIERAN(fuck you for giving him such a faggot zoomer name Morrigan) WOULD'VE DABBED ON YOUR ASS IF DRAGON AGE WASN'T DOA

Based on the existence of Alistair/Loghain return to ostagar dialogue, yes.

he didn't even keep the powers

What the fuck did he even do in the game, can't remember shit

he has the power to move you
and MIND BULLETS

He was just there to give Morrigan a chance to show off character development because the devs are terrified of having DA:O choices actually mean something.

because the more cameos and references they put in future games the harder it is to have the warden involved in any capacity especially as a PC but they seemingly want to since he/she is always hyped in-game

there's also a big hickup with the fact that the warden can pretty easily be dead so I don't know what the fuck they are doing

they acknowledge if the Warden is dead you just don't see it much because most people aren't retarded enough to not use their get-out-of-death free card

because the piece of shit incompetent horndog king was handing their kingdom over to the french queen on a silver platter. After he personally spent his life waging war to kick the french OUT of Ferelden the little shit was opening the gates to invite them right back in.
Basically his mistake was ignorance of the mechanics of the Blight, and how it could ONLY be stopped by Gray Wardens because they keep that a secret thanks to the whole "we drink demon blood" thing that a lot of righteous God-fearing Templars would disapprove of. Disapprove of STRONGLY! (-10)

The trip out beyond thedas wasn't hyping the warden, it was BW chucking their ass out of the plot to avoid having to deal with them otherwise they'd be right in the middle of things with rifts and grey wardens.

because the prince was braindead

every protag but the warden has been shit, they should just figure out a way to bring them back

I want the Warden back goddamn it

you think you do, but you don't.

History with Kieranboy and young Wardenman
A secret to be told
A gold chest to be bold
Blastingf forth with three part harmony!

you're right, it should have ended after origins

This, basically.
A lot of DA:O is plagiarized from NWN2. They wanted to recreate the part when you're judged in Neverwinter the same way the entire game is about gathering allies to defeat the big bad evil forces (instead of lizard people you get werewolves but overall it's the same).

Yeah, he's an interesting character, but he would have had a higher moral ground to stand on if he didn't go full throttle on the villainy immediately afterwards with all the slavery, kidnapping, and grey warden purging.

Terribly written character
