Have you ever spent money on a F2P game?

TF2

FGO
Azur Lane
I regret nothing.
Yes. Every F2P game is garbage until you purchase each individual mechanic they ripped away from P2P
Friendly reminder, F2P games secretly increase the difficulty JUST FOR YOU if you ever spend any real money.
I soent 15$ on ffbe before they were shitters and i regret it.
cute feet
I want to rub okita's feet
I spent at least $250 on Archeage.
I want to be a cute girl's foot worshiper
>Archeage.
What the fuck is that
Yes, a few. Definitely not whale level, but I'd say maybe in the low hundreds across a few different games.
Of course.
A korean sandbox MMO that's simultaneously one of the best and worst MMOs I've ever played.
Over $1000 on League. Probably closer to $1500. Canadian too, so it's like $2000 American.
How big is your regret?
Yes
Do I regret it, also Yes
I've spent an embarrassing amount on APB, but somehow what I've spent is less than 10% of what many other people have spent on the game. I do not understand it.
Yes.
I actively play gacha to this day, but the only money I've ever spent on any F2P game is TF2, and that was years ago. I haven't ever spent money on gacha.
$5 on Shadowgun Lengends.
$10 in League of Angel's III(cant get enough of that chinkshit autobattle it's my worst guilty pleasure I'm ranked 5th in the server).
based
like 10k or so into gachashit
I've bought TF2 cosmetics
I only pay for the guaranteed
League
Dota 2
TF2
PoE
BDO (it's not technically F2P though)
Tera
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
I had fun while I was playing. It gave me more motivation to keep playing because looking good feels nice but I wish I had the money now to do other things with.
what is this 'game' and how does one play it
$5 in a hat for TF2 for premium
$40 on Warframe over like 5 years
$40ish on Planetside 2
$10 for guild stash tabs in Path of Exile for our friend guild
$50 or so on FFBE and that's the only game I really regret spending anything on
I used to rip graphics from gatcha games and posting it online
I was litterally collecting jpegs, but without spending money
does runescape count? if so then yes
I am not an idiot
Yes.
Money has no intrinsic value.
I spent $10 on Blacklight Retribution in 2012.
That's it though.
Why do Hood's tits get so much bigger when you marry her?
Yea, on Dauntless.
Yes
$3000 on FGO
$5000 on GBF
I wanted a horse to take a companion along.
What's it like being dumber than a sack of rocks?
Pls explain how someone worships feet
it's my money i do what i want
have sex
I've spent a bit on Warframe, but that's it.
>implying someone dumber than a sack of rocks had this much money to piss away on kusoge
When I have more than 30 hours on a F2P, I can do it (I will still put way less money than a normal game), but it's really rare.
yeah I spent way too much on hearthstone and fortnite
>pretending that inheritance and marriage don't exist
>pretending that luck isn't an incredibly massive factor in getting rich
Something like 500USD on f/go over the course of its entire lifespan, couple stash tabs and MTX in PoE, i'll throw a couple bucks at things that hold my attention better than 60USD wastes of money like Fallout76, ME:Andromeda, and other fail projects that launch at full price so the devs can pay their employees and taxes. I also donate to charities.
im a zoomer so yes many times i did spend money on f2p games to get advantage
unless you play the lottery: no.
I was a GBF dolphin. AMA.
this
I've spent at least 2 thousand in fate go.
Neck yourself unironically
more feet and i'll tell you.
I love and adore you
Fuck off
Over $1000 on FGO
I hate myself too much to regret anything.
imagine getting mad at something like that, get help
U$100 for a shitty korean MMO and another 50 for noping subscription.
I regret nothing since I enjoyed every moment from those purchase.
40$ on Dota 2 Compendiums
50$ on Card Packs in Urban Rivals (browser TCG, maybe someone remembers it)
5$ in TF2 to get premium
That's it I think.
Cancer infesting this board
Fate/Grand Order. I try not to think about how much I've spent on it.
Alright, which one of you did this
i spent somewhere less then 100 bucks on maplestory a long time ago.
Does spending money on TF2 / CSGO count when you originally bought the games?
I spent a bunch on a huniepop ripoff. You had limited space to store cgs and I was too autistic to delete old ones so I just kept buying more space.
yeah I bought 2x exp and some other cash items in maplestory like a decade ago
got an anniversary ticket in granblue three months ago
that's it I think
Bought the Apex Battle Pass at the recommendation of a friend. Have yet to figure out what it does. I think I just got some leaf skins for my guns? I don't know when I got old, but I sure feel it when trying to figure out how and why F2P games succeed
I don't play video games
I am not into feet, but the rest of the pic is hot as hell. Really nice outfit.
Fatfag spotted
how?
I literally don't have anything in my life I would rather spend money on once my essentials are taken care of
~1k€ spread between
>DotA 2
>WildStar (if you consider it to be f2p)
>Path Of Exile
>HearthStone
>mtg Arena
You got a source on that, or at least some more deets? Quick google got me nothing and I'd really like to see exactly how those fucks are jewing people out of their money.
What game?
>WildStar
user...
€200 on smite but i won that money by playing in tournaments
Like 50 in shadowverse which gave me cards that let me compete and win about 100 back
Dream girlfriend
I really wish someone would rip the housing, farming, and trading system from it for a new game.
Can confirm, everyone I get matched with on TF2 is a complete retard.
40 bucks on fortnite
20 bucks for skins
20 bucks for zombie mode
I regret buying the zombie mode more
Same for me in shadowverse but i built forestcraft like a retard and lost that money.
Dude, if you're only here to post fetish pics, do it over at or or .
I spent a grand total of 24 euro on NFS World a long while ago, I don't regret it even if the game died.
>reality
Ive bought plat!
Yes, maybe 5-10 bucks
TF2, Warface
Long time passed since then... Where the fuck did this time go?
I spent a retarded amount of money on Spiral K***hts to get high level shit and have never fallen into that trap since. At least I looked cool.
That's how micro transaction works.
warframe 100€
Dota 2 $51.94
Path of Exile $50.00
Evolve Stage 2 $14.79 (Owning a copy of the game unlocked a bunch of stuff for you)
>Tranny lane
OH NO NO NO NO
I bought the Fate leaders in shadowverse
I spent like £4 once to get Alexstrasza in Heroes of the Storm. Played her for about 5 or 10 hours so I'm okay with that.
If it counts, I bought a physical Tsareena GX box to be able to user the card in Pokemon TCGO but also for the physical card.
Otherwise never.
I bought a hat in Maplestory once and I still regret it, over a decade later.
The last few AAA games I have paid for have been complete duds. I get more value for money from F2P games. Once I have played a F2P game a few dozen hours and it is clear that i am enjoying it, I have no problem spending a bit of cash on it.
In the past I wasted a lot of money in LoL (500€), nowadays I just use an external program to use whatever skin I want.
Now I waste it in FGO instead, but I always try to do the refund trick (saved 400€ so far, paid 160€).
I also bought a platinum pack in Warframe.
I've bought a runescape membership once
I have quite a few times.
Spent like 500€ on PlanetSide 2
maybe 300€ or so on Girls' Frontline which is gacha shit
maybe like 50€ or so on Armored Warfare
150€ on World of Warships
30€ on Hawken
50€ on Ghost in the Shell
I bought a couple vault chests in Realm of the Mad God for $15
30 Dollaros on Im@s, that's all
40 on League
20 on Warframe
5 on MtGA
Whatever 10 boxes was on overwatch because I lost a bet
I usually pay a dollar or two to get rid of ads in games I play. Pic related.
I don't buy currency for Gacha unless it's tied to ad removal, which most Gacha don't have.
Terra Battle
lost my account and a year later after I wanted to jump in again they managed to retrieve it and I put 5 bucks into it.
It was the first and last time spending money on shit like that.
based
Spent 20 on some Runescape stuff that wasn't a subscription
Yes, quite a bit on war thunder.
Same. Gotta get those tabs.
Few TF2 crate keys for nothing
>Feet in nylons/socks
Why do japniggers keep doing this?
I've bought a handful of items in Team Fortress 2, that's all I can recall at the moment.
because it is hot
What about WoW mount store?
I spent about 100 on warframe and aprox 400 on dota 2.
That's it.
because it's patrician's taste?
Duel Links
Spent like $15
Imagine having taste this dog shit.
>he doesn't think thigh highs or pantyhoses are one of the hottest things ever made
>using matchmaking in TF2
Steam trading cards and anime background pictures.
Pantyhose is hit or miss, but thigh highs are trully a miracle. Its the simple half hiding thing while half revealing that it makes it so amazing. And on top of that they lead the eye.
Yes.
Im into fishnets. But anything that covers more than 50% of foot/leg is DOGSHIT. I guess you faggots cant handle seeing a bare leg or foot of a female because you would immediately cum into your pants
Kingdom of loathing
Path of exile
Even a few bucks on dota and lol
many TF2 items before it was free but only a couple after it was
club penguin membership, i think only one month
>because you would immediately cum into your pants
That's pretty hot desu
fishnets are for bimbo whores, classy ladies wear pantyhose/stockings
Yup, Planetside 2.
Bimbos are pinnacle of feminity if done right though. And the way I see it classy ladies dont wear anything on their legs. They just wear skirts with pumps
>I guess
why would you, my passive agressive friend?
In that case, you sir, are wrong. There's nothing more shameful than showing bare leg skin.
Also pantyhose is smooth and nice to touch and smother your face in.
You realize op pic is from one of the biggest Japanese footfag artists
The only one I’ve ever spent money on was Nintendo Badge Arcade for the 3DS.
>doesn't have the ARP boats
I bought a key for TF2 and instantly regretted it.
No, I'm not retarded
feet
you dont have to if you're a girl
>shitty low quality image with patreon link
cringe
>Be honest, Yea Forums.
Yes, just once early on when I didn't understand how they worked. First time I encountered it, I thought the free game with a purchaseable thing was like old shareware or whatever, and the business model was that you got to try it for free, but then you bought upgrades to the real game that were permanent. Then I used the ticket items frivolously and was surprised to realize that no, that was it, it was gambling. Might seem obvious to everyone else but until that moment I honestly hadn't ever seen that used in vidya before and it didn't occur to me that such a fucking bullshit thing could exist, though obviously gambling is super profitable so of course somebody would take Skinner Box and gambling to its ultimate conclusion once always-on internet connections and heavy DRM made it technically feasible.
Disgusting though and I'm fucking pumped to finally see governments catching up and regulating it or banning it like the gambling it is. Unlike in the real world it's actually possible too BECAUSE IT'S SELF DEFEATING. The exact same mechanisms that make it work technically (heavy system lock down, online server store because otherwise you could just cheat and get infinite "gems" or whatever free) also mean it can be banned easily by government. In the real world making something illegal also has necessary bad effects of pushing things underground, so it's a tradeoff. But in vidya gacha there is no "underground" to flee to because it's all artificial anyway. Get fucked f2p.
I spent $600 rolling for a non-limited character in FGO
Find a better quality version without the link then faggot
*pounds fist against table*
ANIME FEET! ANIME FEET! ANIME FEET! ANIME FEET!
at least that's actual things user, dlc is better then gacha.
i meant your image is garbage and looks like trash
get some standards
I spent around 800 bucks of Girls Frontline. It was the first f2p I enjoyed and I learned I have no self control/am retarded for anime jpegs. So I quit and I won't pick up another f2p again.
>all these people who spent over 100€ on a single video game even though it was free
jesus you guys must be simple
Game? No, never. Interactive chat room? Yeah, I bought a few Habbo Hotel coins as a wee lad.
>I spent around 800 bucks of Girls Frontline. It was the first f2p I enjoyed and I learned I have no self control/am retarded for anime jpegs. So I quit and I won't pick up another f2p again.
Sorry it had to be such an expensive lesson rather then even "just" a hundred or two, but
>won't pick up another f2p again
is the right response user. There have been a few studies on "self control" over the last few years saying that it's mostly not a thing, or at least it's a very limited resource for most people. The real key is just avoiding temptation in the first place, rather then trying to resist it once it's there, and making habits. So like if you're trying to lose weight, eat before you go to the grocery store, or make it a habit to go after breakfast or lunch when you aren't hungry. Then it's easier to avoid buying extra snack crap. Then if it's not in your home in the first place when you suddenly have a craving you don't eat. For anyone who is weak to gambling a bit in particular just avoid it all.
surprising amount of gachashitters in here.
I started playing GBF earlier this year and got a limited character for 30 bucks during the anniversary a few months back, still kind of regret it but she's pretty good for 1t set-ups so I'm not too upset. wasn't even an esports pick, I just liked her but hey turns out she's pretty alright.
never gonna buy another that's for sure, might as well get 3 large pizzas.
Yep, but not very much. Some compendiuns and cheap market hats in Dota for the most part.
Only on WoWS CBT access from humble bundle (i have bunch of tier 3-2 sealclubbers and a single tier 5 and like 4 tier 6 premiums and 32 port slots) and a one hat on tf2, i never spent shekels on FGO and i have many top tier servants and i quitted the game until lostbelt is finished so i can just rush it for the reading, also i always wanted more slots on kancolle because i keep every ship of its kind
>surprising amount of gachashitters in here.
really? like, are you surprised that gambling hits the dopamine release in the human brains of a fair % of the population? cause it does. just cause you add that to a skinner box or anime tiddies doesn't change the basics.
well...at least I can't spend money on that game anymore
I bought every surprise ticket in GBF.
I think he means how people on this site often act as if they were morally/intelectually superior to others but have no problem to blow their savings on anime pictures roulette
idk man Yea Forums always seemed really pissed whenever someone talks about gacha, never occurred to me that they're the vocal minority instead of the other way around as this thread seems to imply
Falling for the gacha/cosmetics meme means you shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion on video games.
I'm a simple man. If there is an option to get something for $$$, skipping all that gacha shit, then count me in. It's even more funny now, because Fortnite managed to beat all that low-tier waifu bait without having any lootboxes at all.
The list so far:
PoE (really wanted that hydra supporter pack)
TF2 (owned it long before it became F2P though)
Fortnite (probably something close to 70$, maybe more)
Granblue Fantasy (tickets only)
FGO (whale gacha only)
Marvel Future Fight (something close to 60$, worth evey penny)
Marvel Contest of Champions (a whole 1$, but the offer was really good)
Marvel Strike Force (6$, played it for a few days and then decided to drop)
World of Tanks (probably 200$ if not more, no regrets)
not a hivemind tho right? course a lot of people don't get addicted either, luck of the draw for them on nature/nurture. just like some people can do some drugs and then just stop, whereas others are nailed the first hit or two. and you can "have a problem" blowing your savings but do it anyway, hence addiction and laws about that shit.
>Yea Forums always seemed really pissed whenever someone talks about gacha
well if you hate what it does to vidya and are easily addicted and think they're bullshit crap wouldn't you be like MORE mad to even see it mentioned? cause if you're smart you avoid temptation at all costs yeah? whether you learned that the hard way or just as a 3rd party I don't think there is any real difference there. some people hate it because how much good ip it has raped. some hate it because fell into trap once, never again. some both probably. dunno, makes sense to me I guess.
Somewhere between $500 and $1000 on League. And i regret none of it.
I spent around 300-400€ on League back in Season 2 and 3, buying shitty skins for no reason at all. Multiple skins for the same character, or characters I didn't even like to play... I was collecting them or something, I don't know.
In Hearthstone a bought a grand total of... one pack during open beta.
That's it, that's all I have ever spent on F2P games. I-it's not that bad, right..?
it's bad.
>I-it's not that bad, right..?
if you feel bad about it and never ever do it again then cheaper lesson then some in this thread. don't make excuses to yourself though user.
>claiming to have standards while posting shitty finger-toes
You just keep on being pedantic about what you shoot your nut-butter to while I'm over here enjoying the plethora of material available to me.
I don't know how much I spent, but I spent some money on Hearthstone when it was quite new in order to being able compete with the other players. I regret all of it and realized then and there the issue with this business practice. I've never spent any money before or after. It's a fucking disgusting business.
Pits >= feet
based
Probably about $40 on Planetside 2. No regrets, that game was dope for how little development time they were given.
I miss /ps2g/.
yes.
spent way to much on KRMMOs from 2006-15
Regret nothing. Literally the best AoE game ever. Fuck you MS for shutting it down.
no i am a leech of the F2P cuck system
Many times, though I admit I regret some of them
>League of Legends
Really wish I hadn't, I spent like $600 and looking back, it really didn't change my experience in any way
>TF2
only bought only one key because I wanted to complete a set - I actually got the rare drop on first try so I never had to buy another one
>Planetside 2
bought some heavy armor cosmetics
>GW2
Bought like $200 worth of gems oiver the years I regret it but also I sort of don't because I had some fun times
>Paladins
Literally a better game than overwatch, honestly. I only paid for the hero/voice pack, no cosmetics or anything cancerous
Eeeh, I don't feel that bad about it to be honest. It's a game I played for so many years, I wasted some money on it, who cares. I learned my lesson and I'm sure I won't make the same mistake again, but it's not like I can't sleep at night thinking about it.
A purchase a really regret is Battle for Azeroth, even if it was just 40€. Until that moment, my only experience with WoW was with Vanilla private servers, and I wanted to experience the start of a new expansion. I mean, look at this (youtube.com
I played for a month and a half, waiting for the "fun part" to begin... there was no fun part. That's the purchase that keeps me awake at night.
I always see gifs of this guy. What’s this from?
Yeah.
I've spent 400 bucks on Fortnite. Pretty sad but not as bad as the almost 1000 I've spent on twitch streamers.
No that's just TF2 normally
I have spent nearly $2000 dollars between GF and FGO.
I do not regret any of it and recently I picked up the Taimanin gacha game which is basically FGO but with Taimanin story.
Thinking back to myself maybe I would have liked to spend less but it is what it is. At least I continue to enjoy the games and I hope to keep doing so until the games shut down.
>I spent around 800 bucks of Girls Frontline.
I take it you went ham for a 2D live costume? Girls Frontline is unironically one of the most F2P friendly gacha games out there. How did you manage to still spend so much?
Would never waste my time on something without a pleb border wall called "cash"
stop posting pajeet
He's Snufkin, a character from Tove Jansson's Moomins books and comics. There was a 90s anime adaptation that is pretty popular in all the countries where Moomins are already known (the Nordics, Japan, a few other Euro countries, maybe some other places).
Snufkin is cool.
>no I do not regret being a shit gobbling whale
lmao you can enjoy them without paying idiot
No. The only dlc I ever bought were Ryu and Cloud for Smash 3DS.
>
Unless you are a luckshitter who rolls SSRs off tickets I seriously doubt it
How else am I meant to get my NP5 SSR with only 0.7% chance of getting them if not by paying, huh? I have seen countless F2P waifukeks who save and save for MONTHS only to get btfo by.
Pic very much related
>Taimanin gacha game
There's a taimanin gacha now? What is the name? Does it play just like FGO or is a bit more different?
I'm interested.
$60 to get the limited persona cards
got lucky and pull both of them in
Yeah I spend money on a real game like Ring Of Elysium. I sometimes have to "borrow" my girlfriends money.
League
PoE
TF2
Warframe
Runes of Magic
Perfect World
I regret all of it except tf2 and poe
Hearthstone, Fate Grand Order, One Pice Treasure Cruise.
80$ for Hearthstone, and around 40$ for the gacha
Taimanin RPGX. it is literally FGO, hence why I liked it a lot and I love Taimanin on top of that.
Thanks user! I'll give it a try!
Dota 2
LoL
Might just spend money on Fortnite
>get some standards
Nice irony there, mate.
Dragon Nest...
First and last F2P game I spent money on.
It started out so good, became shit P2W later on.
Only once.
After TF2 went F2P, I bought that upgrade that gave you more inventory space, but only in the hopes I could jew people with rare drops. Never happened, but it was only like $2.99.
I need to whale in FGO while mommy's banner is still up.
Friendly reminder that red toenails/fingernails are fucking disgusting.
You need to download the DMM store first then the game itself. Is a bit tricky to get by because everything is in Japanese but you'll only need to create a DMM account and that's it.
Got it! I know Japanese so this might not be so tricky, but I'll probably have a fun time.
Thanks for the heads up.
$10 each on Warframe and Let it Die
When I was little I spent a lot of money in Habbo Hotel (if that can even be considered a free to play game) without knowing (my parents money, that is). I spent 0,06€ on Pokémon Go because I have Google Opinion Rewards and I haven't received a single survey for months so I just added what was needed to buy the cheapest pack of coins. But I think that's it in my entire life.
No.
if it's not fun for free then you shouldn't play it much less pay ridiculous amounts to make it fun
Yukikaze is precious
>this is what gachafags play and "enjoy"
Mentally ill people, I tell ya
