Were any of these anywhere near as good as BFBB?
The Movie game was basically the same thing.
Why are SpongeBob games always so fun?
I want a remaster of the movie game
I've only played BFBB, LCP and the movie game. BFBB was definitely the best, with the movie game close behind. LCP just seemed like a poor man's Mario Party from what I remember. Still fun though.
BFBB
Movie
CFTKK
Lights, Camera, Pants
ROTFD
BFBB≥Movie>LCP>>Creature>>>Revenge
BfBB>Movie>Lights, Camera, Pants>CFTKK>shit>Flying Dutchman
The Movie Game was kino and imo better than BfBB (though I did like how BfBB did it's more open leveled approach). Lights Camera Pants was a fun mario party clone if you're into spongebob. Most people will probably say something like...
Battle For Bikini Bottom>Movie Game/LCP,> LCP/Movie Game>Creature from the Krusty Krab>Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, if I had to guess.
This. I'm happy to see BfBB get remastered at least, and hope if it does well then the Movie game can get remastered in another year or two down the line.
Atlantis Squarepantis gets an honorary mention between Lights and Revenge
BFBB, The Movie, CFTKK, LCP, ROTFD.
Honestly there isn't any acceptable choice other than BFBB, the rest are pretty mediocre. Except for Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. That shit needs to burn in hell. Also never played Lights Camera Pants but its a party game so I'm not entirely sure youd give a shit about it if you like any of the previous games beforehand.
BFBB > Movie > Dutchman > CFtKK >>>>>> LCP
>Have fond memories of playing Revenge
>People are putting in shit tier
W-was it really that bad?
Haven't played Revenge of the Flying Dungeon or Lights Camera Pants but as for the others from best to worst...
>1. Battle for Bikini Bottom
Pure platforming fun with gorgeous and unique levels. Full of fanservice but also a ton of creativity with the plot and setting.
>2. Movie
While the upgradeable moves and animation were an improvement, the linear levels, as well as the sliding and driving levels were not that hot. Still an awesome game but BfBB does it slightly better.
>3. Creature from the Krusty Krab
Cool plot but it's too short, too easy, too linear, and even worse gimmicky gameplay. Not a terrible game but it pales in comparison to the others.
>The ps2 version was completely unplayable to the point where it kept on crashing
BFBB > Movie > Drawn to Life Spang
Yeah. It's terrible. Not on the same scale but I've had a similar experience with the Sonic Adventure games.
Sorry user, but a lot of times games you loved turn out to be horrible when you try them again. It doesn't invalidate the fun you had, at all, it just demonstrates that you had a different idea of what games are and should be back then. You can still go back and enjoy it without having to think other people will get the same experience as you.
>had the demo for BFBB that came in with my XBOX magazine
>love it and want the full release
>grandfather gets it for me for my birthday
>it's the PC version
I also got the GBA version of ROTFD which was actually pretty fun.
Personally, I loved CFtKK's GBA port as a kid.
It looks and feels totally cheap and unpolished compared to everything else. I would compare it to the Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius game in terms quality.
i played it when i was 4 and i remember it doing that alot
i also never got very far in most games cause didnt learn how to use the memory card or save games for a while
Same developer.
BfBB
Movie
CFTKK
Atlantis Squarepantis
L,C,P
Flying Shitman
Ha! Expected as much.
>I would compare it to the Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius game in terms quality
Don't remind me of the Jet Fusion game. I had placed a statue on a pedestal late in the game to open a door, saved my progress and quit because the TV was too dark to see in this one cave area, and I went back to it completely unable to open said door since I didn't have the statue anymore. Had to start that whole shitheap over again.
>tfw had the GCN version of Lights Camera Pants
Wasn't it just a collection of minigames? I remember begging my parents for it after getting Revenge of the Flying Dutchman on GBA which was an average 2D platformer.
I played BFBB, CFKK, LCP and Revenge.
Revenge is the shittiest like most people say. I didn't even finish it because it was just such a slog.
Now here's where I disagree: Out of all the three, BFBB is the weakest to me. It might be the most solid from a technical aspect, but the bizarre plot and unique atmosphere of CFKK just wins me over. The variety in gameplay is too good, sometimes I boot it up just to play giant Plankton.
And now LCP. Now that's a special game. I highly doubt anyone has put as much autistic effort into this game as I did. I can assure you that playing in Gold scenario, with difficulty on Hard and A.I on Sharp is one of the most difficult vidya experience I've ever had. You basically has to be playing perfect on World 2 and 3, because the AI won't make enough points to snatch the role and thus making it a tie. I went through so much pain, but at the same time so much fun with it. All the custom scenarios were great and I spent hours making custom films. I can never get tired of the voice acting. And of course, pretty much all the mini-games are great.
So yeah, for me it's LCP > CFKK > BfBB >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Revenge
SOUL
BfBB ≥ The Movie Game > CftKK > LCS >>>>>>>>>>> Dutchman
I hated the Spongebob Movie game. The progressions system with the coins felt unnatural and more like a torture. Progression was halted more than once, because of missing coins. The driving sections were horrible and tedious. The only redeeming factors of this game were the moves and the ost during the final boss fight. Revenge of the flying dutchman was (except for the PS2) more fun than it. Creature of the Krusty Krab and Light, Camera, Pants were utterly forgettable. BfBB is the best in my opinion.
>Revenge of the flying dutchman was (except for the PS2) more fun than it.
What's the difference between the PS2 and GC versions?
Hell no, Lights, Camera, Pants played worse.
The PS2 version was such a shitty port that it was virtually unplayable. Essentially the game would freeze on you at random times. It took me 30 tries to get out of the house.
Even as a kid, I played it and instantly realized it was shit. You just can't make a 3D platformer that feels outright bad to play, but that's what that is.
BFBB > CFTKK > MOVIE > LCP > DUTCHMAN
They should make more original Spongebob games like CFTKK.
I remember getting a copy and trying to play it on ps2 but it never got past the first cutscene, it always shat the bed and crashed there.
It's a shame because I remember watching my older brother play a rented copy from blockbuster and I thought the unsettling and eerie was neat, it was like some hidden off-brand title.
There was just something not quite right about it and that's what drew me in.
Same here, user, but I played it first as a kid. I actually went back and played it a couple years after I first beat it— after having played the others— and realized just how bad it was.
I don't count Lights, Camera, Pants because it's a fucking party game and not an adventure like all the others.
Dutchman is obviously worst.
Battle is obviously best.
I liked Movie more than Creature because of gameplay consistency whereas Creature felt all over the place. It was still good, though.
>never had battle for bikini bottom
>even around the time when PS3, 360 and Wii had been out for a couple years, I would still say that I wanted it
>"user why do you want this old spongebob game? you have a PS3, don't you want the latest call of duty or something?"
No, I wanted fucking spongebob squarepants battle for bikini bottom.
You just knew, lad. You just knew.
For me it's Battle for Bikini Bottom AND SuperSponge.
youtube.com
Sorry retards but none shall be more kino then SpongeBob: Operation Krabby Patty
The Seahorse minigame in Lights Camera Pants will always be pure fun.
Why include LCP? That's like including mario party in a list of 3d mario games
I only played Creature from the Crusty Crab on the wii, so I can't say anything about the others. I really liked it.
I remember a kid a church school told me that there were a bunch of secret levels to that game that you could unlock, by getting every single collectable in the game.
Is that true or was he bullshitting me all that time?
SuperSponge is my personal favorite of Sponge vidya.
BfBB>Movie>CftKK>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>RotFD>LCP
It put a whole fucking company out of buisness
>Yea Forums has reached a point where western garbage like spongebob is tolerated because zoomers grew up with it
It will only get worse, won't it?
There were different endings you could unlock if you got all of the Patrick or Plankton tokens, but I'm pretty sure that was it.
I feel like it's just so people will talk about it, and well it does indeed deserve to be talked about.
don't give him attention
BFBB and the movie game are in their own league above the others with BFBB being slightly superior, but the others are also fun in their own right. None of them are bad games
>TFW never got to play it 4-man
>Tried to when Yea Forums had those Dolphin netplay threads
>Even after running fixes for like 5 hours, some segments would plummet to 5 FPS and it was rendered unplayable
Fug.
post more SuperSponge OST

I had a point and click spongebob game for the pc that followed the events of the movie, it was pretty fun. Anyone know which game I'm talking about? I can't find it anywhere.
>no supersponge
There are things I'm glad happened when I was younger, and playing many different video games is part of that, but I'll assume were both adults now. Enjoy the games you have now and have some fun this next drink is to you my friend.
>all these people shitting on RoFD
FUCK all you guys. Game was comfy as fuck
I think that's just the PC version of the Spongebob Squarepants Movie Game.
PC version was a point & Click whereas almost every other version was a platformer
You might be confusing the PC Battle For Bikini Bottom with a game that never existed. The PC BFBB was a point and click.
22.
Likewise, user. I don't have a need to reminisce about the past in a dark light. There were plenty of good moments and there's plenty of good games now.
Revenge of the Flying Dutchman was awful. I hate that I still remember the music.
Enjoy your E3
Best game
>weebfag
what a surprise! back to ResetERA
Movie game would be better than bfbb if it didn't force you to collect side medals at arbitrary points
otherwise none of them are good enough to look at
As much I prefer movie over BFBB, needing certain amounts of goober coins was stupid because it doesn't work with Movie Game's linear level progression.
I've never played the dutchman game but I can tell you that after replaying the spongebob the movie game in 2019 I can confidently say that it is a fucking headache to play through because of the sled and patty wagon levels. Also in battle for bikini bottom when you hit the enemies they go fucking flying but in the movie game when you hit enemies they move about an inch away from you and attack immediately while youre still finishing your attack animation. It's frustrating as fuck and also some of the wall jump segments with spongebob are unforgiving. Worst one yet.
>You might be confusing the PC Battle For Bikini Bottom with a game that never existed.
No, the PC version of the movie game was a point and click adventure game made by the same people who developed Employee of the Month (another Spongebob point and click game) and the pc version of BfBB.
>Anyone know which game I'm talking about? I can't find it anywhere.
Here you go.
youtube.com
Why was the PC version of BfBB so different in the first place?
The game was bad and it caused the main developers to close down after releasing it and a similarly shitty Jimmy Neutron game in the same year.
>Its adventure Spongebob game
>People talk more about Light,Camera, Pants than this
A-am i bad game Yea Forums?
youre based on a shitty episode so people dont like you
Why is everyone shitting on LCP? That was my favorite one to play of all of them.
You were okay
>bfbbr on steam
>mods are possible
yfw somebody recreates the movie game with the engine
any game that is based on post movie spongebob is automatically discarded
Even as a child, I understood that Revenge of the Flying Dutchman was hot garbage.
>Bath tub sliding level in movie game
>This kicks in
youtube.com
AAAAAAAAAAA
BfBB = Movie > the others
I prefer BFBB but the slide levels in the movie game were kino
>I also got the GBA version of ROTFD which was actually pretty fun.
I remembered this being downright awful, when's the last time you played it?
Release. That's probably why.
>go off the rails and skip a chunk of the level just for fun
BFBB>Movie>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CFTKK>>>Atlantis Square Panties>everything else
>Rockin' it dude! what game is this going for? Tony Hawk Pro? Heck maybe Guitar Hero as an original song?
That's not the hook
You did collect all the chests, right?
I liked the music. Even more than BFBB's ost.
youtube.com
youtube.com
The movie game uses the same engine is no where near as good.
>level based
>remodeled enemies
>sound design and music is awful compared to BFBB godly ost soud design
>is very short only being about as long as the movie itself
I also remember playing through that game twice when I was a kid
I don't remember it being bad
Is Battle For Bikini Bottom emulatable?
anyone have a rom for it on PS2 or GC?
Yui is shit
I suggest you do the ps2 version unless you like redboxes
>I am...forgotten...
but this game is really good
The easily fixable, just disable scales eefb on dolphin
this reminds me
is there a slim possibility this could come back if the remake is successful?
which version runs best?
You have to go back, barnacleheads
BFBB, Movie Game, CFTCK (then again I had the PC version), Lights Camera Pants (a party game so it shouldn't be here), Reven of the Flying Dungeon.
BfBB is just the best, honestly. Open levels, good music, fun gameplay and writing.
dolphin runs leagues better that the ps3 emulator
>advertise the fuck out of the TV special as though major shit was going down
>nothing happens: the episode
What the fuck even was this game? I came out long after I gave enough of a fuck to try it.
*ps2
is this game worth emulating (psp) or just a waste of time
Employee of the Month and PC Movie was fucking based. Hell I liked PC Movie more than the platformer.
Its linear, but the effects/art style in the game were top notch. And yeah, basically 90% of the episode was the crew crawling in the vents...
PSP version is trash, emulate it on dolphin if you were to give it a go
bump
spongebump
The Flying Dutchman game came first and it was a really good game imo, after ROTFD came BFBB which set a new standard.
Dont understand the Flying Dutchman hate
because the ps2 version was buggy as fuck
>this is music in a fucking spongebob game
youtube.com
And those are quads
The movie game was my first game.
haven't played BFBB so my rank would be:
Movie
CFTKK
LCP
ROTFD
did the same guy who composed the ratchet and clank music work on this? wouldn't be surprised if he did.
shell city.... home....
Am I the only one who's always gotten Club Penguin vibes from Spongebob music?
They are all trash, only zoomers whose first contact with video games was any of those games claim otherwise.
>posts mangashit
shut your mouth you mediocre clarinet player
Stop acknowledging it.
The manliness has landed.
The movie game was kino but it was rushed to match the actual movie release date, that's why it feels like an 1.5 version of BFBB,it could be better so I hope it gets a remeake someday
RVOTFD plays like shit,it literally feels like the first try of them
CFTKK it's interesting,I was expecting something related to science by the title and not a game based on dreams,a weird but cool concept
LCP it's absolutely fun and kino, everyone who shit on this didn't have friends to play with them
Truth or Square it's basically a BFBB clone,it even has a robo Squidward so it feels like a weird dlc of the game
Oh yeah and the GBA versions are kino too, I played the movie game on the GBA a lot and actually enjoyed better than the console release
Lights, Camera, Pants was a fucking sidescroller on the gameboy version, entirely different game than console version.
I'm pretty sure I used to, though for me I think it was playing club penguin and thinking these songs sounded spongebob like not the other way around.
I've only played Dutchman on PS2 and I never had any of those issues ever. It was a very mediocre game though but I never had a single issue running it.
Holy fuck I always thought that was because my disc was scratched up or something, I only got the final area to load a few times and then it would always crash in that area
Jimmy Neutron: Attack of the Twonkies is pretty good as I remember it
I remember playing it and reaching that area with the cyan twonkies that multiply and I didn't deal with them fast enough and it got to the point where a game breaking amount of twonkies spawned and it was virtually impossible for me to exterminate them all.
How?
I have very clear memories of playing a Spongebob point and click game on PC where you would gather stuff to create scenes for a movie but I can't find anything about it, does anyone know what I might be talking about?
The monster slide level in the movie game was kino.
