Sorry, but I don't know any. :(
Mother 3
Also what do you mean golden wind was gonna come out to the west
iirc this had something to do with Prince threatening legal action over the use of names like Gold Experience.
Why would he do that when it's obviously an homage to him, and how did he even know about Jojo in the first place
>but for some reason
Gold Experience, Prince's lawyers, and possibly Prince too I never got the 411 on the whole thing, are apparently very aggressive.
>Inb4 why not just rename it then
Easier to just not bother, I recall hearing somewhere that Capcom, Jojo and the West have a history of ambiguous reception so they likely made it for Japan first and foremost.
Shame, it's a really neat game and I've tried recommending it to Yea Forums many times for what the ideal Jojo game should strive to be, but people were more interested in the 3D and arena fighters which I feel don't convey what Jojo is about well. The 2D fighting game was a nice direction, but if you want to make an action-adventure game it has to focus less on just fighting and roster size and more on little details relevant to the story. I know there were reference elements for ASB and EoH but that felt thin.
It’s finally here... Friday...
Prince is one of those artists where you aren't gonna find their songs on YouTube, so yeah. Overzealous legal team to the point that its going to hurt the artists popularity among the younger generations, but they're too shortsighted to comprehend that
Well, I've personally got three hours till Friday, and 13 hours till the new episode.
This is a video game thread, not a Jojo thread
Probably never will even though it was massively popular in Japan. though I'd pin the blame on the protagonist having a swastika in his name.
>be Bandai Games
>localize every game based on a anime that aired on Adult Swim
>plan to release a game on the one series that kickstarted anime on Adult Swim for a Fall 2004 release
>delay it to Fall 2005
>delay it again to a unknown date
>be Bandai Namco and forget the whole thing
Was it even good?
I doubt it was Prince personally, but rather his legal team.
Why is jojo so kino?
:^)
Is this game good based on its own merits, or is it just a decent game that fans of the manga can appreciate?
but Mortal Kombat literally made a character named Rain who was purple

Edgy. Animeonlys don't come to these threads
>Prince is one of those artists where you aren't gonna find their songs on YouTube
You can literally look up "Prince songs" on YouTube right now and find a thousand hits.

>implying most jojofags aren't animeonlies
tell me more about it
There's not a person left who hasn't been spoiled mate.
Yea Forums reads the manga
Reddit only watches the anime
the manga is like 40 years old twat
where can I download the patched version with english translation
Apparently it was canceled because it got an Mature rating instead of Teen.
Every Japan exclusive Sega Saturn game.
>Yea Forums
>being any different from reddit
He meant what he said, retard.
It didn't come out because there was copyright trouble with Prince.
You can find Prince's songs on Youtube now, but that's because he's dead. If you look at the date that videos of Purple Rain or most of his other songs were uploaded on it's sometime in the back half of 2016, because prior to that, when he was still alive, they would usually get taken down.

>rereading Part 8
>mfw
I completely forgot why I thought so highly of it after I first started it years ago. I've been awoken yet again.
Damn. This game, untranslated Ace Attorney games and the sequel to Rhapsody A Musical Adventure are the main reasons I would like to stop being an EOP.
But just like with french, I would probably just stop halfway for some reason, and never study again.
At least it got a translation
I'm going to re-read it soon too. I feel like it'll be good to have everything from earlier on fresh in my mind considering the most recent chapter.
and is still running trog
7 and 8 are so much better than the other parts when it comes to story structure, it's incredible what the format does.
youtu.be
As I mentioned it's an action-adventure game rather than pure fighting or adventure, so it has variety in what happens in stages and battles. Not a huge amount, but it's there.
And this is an odd pro for a game, but since each fight isn't balanced so every player char or enemy plays and fights fairly the unconventional action is more notable for what little there is. That's what JoJo was about after all, first and foremost a bizarre ADVENTURE, and not every threat goes down with a straight brawl, the Hamon and Stand Users had to be inventive with their tools to identify weakness, exploit their strengths and uniquely use everything to succeed rather than rely on blunt 1v1.
Plus, done like this each character gets equal play regardless of how they play, instead of the roster and storymode gravitating around a cluster of the most similar and familiar types.
And obviously because the battles are story focused each one feels more involved instead of just a brawl that's in the way to the final boss.
I prefer how GioGio visually tells the story with a mix of single cutscenes and comic panelling to shake it up, but using the same engine to retain cohesion.
There's also very little clutter on the screen, it's not just meter display I mean, it's how ASB and EoH have to make the visuals seem more dramatic with sound effects taking up the screen, and dramatic camera zooms and angles that while attempting to emulate the spirit of Araki's flare get repetitive and obstructive at times.
The Secret Factors are also a nice challenge/replay thing that isn't too overtly in your face as to what triggers them.
As an aside I think why I could appreciate HFTF over ASB and EoH stems from how it was similarly focused around its part and its story mode had quirks relevant to compensate for its simplicity, instead of feeling stitched from pieces of various parts and references that don't strive for much.
What happened in the most recent chapter?
A character from the beginning of the story who just seemed like a one-arc character that didn't have much to do with the story at large came back and his return was presented like a big deal.
He was brought up in the middle at one point too. It's not like the whole finger thing can really be forgotten.
SOON
Was he? The only times I remember him being mentioned is when they would just repeat what happened with him and Kira at one point, I don't remember anything new being said about him or anything like that.
He pops up in one of the flashbacks. IIRC the scene starts with Kira saying the whole "Man of land or water" shit and then it moves on. It's more of a reminder that he exists more than any new information.
I started rereading once I realized how interesting Tsurugi is as a character. I'm really hyped to see what he plan in the future.
>we are at least 2 years away from part 6 if we even get it
>part 6 is so bad it basically cancelled the series and invalidated most of the franchise
>As an aside I think why I could appreciate HFTF over ASB and EoH stems from how it was similarly focused around its part and its story mode had quirks relevant to compensate for its simplicity, instead of feeling stitched from pieces of various parts and references that don't strive for much.
Plus you know, Heritage for the Future is actually a good game.
>part 6 is so bad it basically cancelled the series
Everyone says this but JoJo NEVER had really high ratings when it ran in Weekly Jump. I don't get it either but despite everyone loving it, apparently no one read it until tanks came out.
>>if we even get it
they've gone this far, at this point it would be silly to not at least finish out part 6. past that, who knows
I think the issue is more like how do you do SBR in less than 100 episodes?
Does part 8 feel like it's close to being over? I read 20 or so chapters a couple years ago and decided to just wait until it's finished and then read it all at once but I'm getting antsy
>part 6 is so bad it basically cancelled the series and invalidated most of the franchise
Part 6 isn't bad. It's in no way worse than Part 3 or Part 5. If it weren't for this amazing adaptation I'd still think Part 5 is only below-average. The anime actually adds certain things that make Part 5 more bearable and more developed.
The characters in Part 6 are definitely far more likable and well developed. Araki's idea of development for Part 5 is "LOOK AT THESE DISTRAUGHT CHILDREN, OH POOR THEM SO THEY JOIN A GANG" and we're expected to care about them. I still like the gang, but the character development makes it really difficult to like them. Characters like Anasui in Part 6 might be simple and kinda flat, but at least he has his own quirks that make him interesting. Each character in the gang really blends together personality-wise and it's really weak. I still like Part 5 more than Part 3, but at least Stardust Crusaders are each unique excluding Avdol.
Fatal Frame 4
Araki said we're in the final stretch, it's been 8 years as of last month, but we still have no villain.
that does look pretty cool. i wish more anime based games put effort into trying to replicate their source material rather than mashing them into a fighting game shell.
Part 8 honestly feels like it hasn't started yet, probably because it's all set up with little payoff. It's shaping up to be my favorite part but it can easily blow it in the last stretches.
Is there a good reason why it's gone on for so long? I'm only reading part 5 now, but it seems so weird for it to last 8 years
I remember the drama from a literal no name publisher. I recall it looking more tame than the first Senran Kagura, which did get a T rating. I also wondered if the drama what prevented the characters from initially appearing in Estival Versus. Judging by the name changes it was probably licensing issues.
I will never not be mad.
The best game in the franchise.
Indeed a shame.
Because it's monthly, and long. SBR was like 7 years, and that shit was tight and mostly well paced.
Jojolion is a problem though, at least so far, since it's a mystery but we get things and people set up at the start and after 8 years it seems to me like we might not even get resolution on those things because we are in a climax right now, but a climax where we don't know what the point is or who our enemies really are.
It's easy to pinpoint a villain at this point though, and I'm pretty sure that's what he expects of the reader.
Tsurugi is clearly working under Jobin's influence and Jobin may or may not be working under Kato's influence. Norisuke's (probable) death signifies this. After the kinda-sorta flashback arc that is happening right now, we're soon going to see an investigation into who killed him and why. I assume that Jobin, working under Kato, did not want Tsurugi to take the action that he did and will turn on Kato, revealing Kato as the big bad. At this point I'm not questioning who the villain is, but how Kato's stand will actually be effective in the inevitable final battle. I'm also assuming that someone like Norisuke will be taken to the Wall Eyes for a possible fusion of abilities, but who knows, that's a stretch.
Kato was clearly doing sketchy business while she was in jail, as she was hiding her cellphone that whole time.
>thinly veiled jojobrony thread
Let's be honest, we're just waiting on King Crimson at this point.
It's also National Doughnut Day in the US
If Card is the main villain then the fuck is up with rock people and anything they've done? That was all filler?
And what about all the mysteries she can't have been responsible for, like the bites?
Also the part has other large issues, like the fact that almost every stand user never uses their stand again or ever shows up after their arc. Where the fuck has Nijimura been all this time?
I'd be surprised if we get King Crimson, because I don't really know if this has ever been hinted at. I'm waiting for Killer Queen's ability to come into play. I assume Josuke is going a awaken a new ability and it'll deal with something similar to what Kira could do in Part 4.
Fugo is alive though
wow Prince is a gigantic fucking faggot, glad he's dead
>If Card is the main villain then the fuck is up with rock people and anything they've done? That was all filler?
What do you mean? No, Kato is clearly knowledgable about the rock people and the power of the wall eyes as shown by the flashback.
>And what about all the mysteries she can't have been responsible for, like the bites?
I don't really think "the bites" were a huge mystery. We've discovered at this point what the fruit does and what the wall eyes do, I don't think it's a that major of a detail but I assume we'll see some conclusion to that.
>Also the part has other large issues, like the fact that almost every stand user never uses their stand again or ever shows up after their arc. Where the fuck has Nijimura been all this time?
I see this all the time, especially with the recent retarded "HURR HURR ARAKI FORGET... LOL!" but there's literally no reason for her to show. I think it is kinda silly that's she even been absent from the higashikata household but still, there's zero reason for her to be a part of the story. She's explained her grief to Josuke and that was it.
Fugo just nowayfag'd, he's not dead
final chapter of jojolion reveals that the entire series up to that point was a dream that george joestar had while unconscious after crashing his carriage. when he wakes up and sees dario brando he drowns him in a puddle. series over.
>there's zero reason for her to be a part of the story
Ignoring everything else you said, as I either just disagree or don't know what you're talking about with the HURR HURR bit, you're telling me that there is no reason for her to be in the story, when her entire deal is trying to protect her mom, the same woman whom saving is the only motivation of our main character? Are you high?
The problem series would have to be part 7 since 1) it's long as fuck and 2) CG horses
the issue is that horses are hard to animate so im afraid that theres gonna be some budget shit. some feature length movies with some real budget in maybe 3 parts would be sick as fuck imo. im just hoping sbr gets what it deserves
>whom saving is the only motivation of our main character
It's actually not. Josuke has taken far more on his plate that saving her. I don't know when you stopped reading but there's far more than that. Stopping the fruit from getting into the wrong hands is a conflict in of itself.
I also don't know why you're seemingly so bitter about Part 8 either. Your gripes with it are incredibly minor and you're making it seem like a far more drastic issue than it actually is.
Do we know who the flashback man is?
Josuke somehow sent back in time with BtD in an alternate timeline.
The first half of 6 is the only part where its lacking, the back half is good and the whole end sequence is great.
I don't agree with that, it felt like it went through a whole arc already with Josuke figuring out his identity, which is what I initially thought would encompass the entire plot, and it feels like the plot surrounding the Rokakaka have moved along plenty too considering how few Rock Humans are left and how Joubin has had such a regular presence and involvement in the business surrounding it.
And then Jorge Joestar wakes up and goes to convene with the Kars on Mars
Joubin is so obviously the main villain I have no idea how anybody thinks it could be anybody else. The Rock Humans and Joubin's group are the two antagonistic groups of the story, the Rock Humans are being dealt with right now while Gappy still doesn't realize Joubin has the fruit and so Joubin, along with his mother and son, will be the only characters left to oppose Gappy once the head doctor, and maybe Tooru, are dealt with. It probably won't be Tsurugi, because aside from being a child, he's also not even completely opposed to Gappy and has been on his side in the past, it's probably not Kaato considering how little presence she's had, but Joubin is a foil to Gappy in personality and a mirror to him in his motivation, the bear/robot choice puts them on opposing side from one another, he has some secret ability that nobody knows about and he's the only character in an antagonistic role who has been given the time and presence that would suit an antagonist. I don't know how people look at him and say JJL has no villain or we don't know who the enemy is.
I want to see how "The Cheese Song" and "Let me Pass" will look when animated.
also Dojyaaaan~
>Kato's current role isn't known
>whatever the fuck Tsurugi's plan is isn't known, especially with Norisuke's death? shown
>circling back to whatever the fuck surfer guy's name is
>the head doctor
>Yoshiteru Kira, Kira's dad who's been referenced in the character pages at the start of volumes since volume 15, still hasn't been introduced
>Tooru, who is obviously evil, hasn't been explored
Is Jojolion really almost over? It feels like there's a lot left to be done.
Though I guess all of this is going to be explored in the seven days before the rokakaka is harvested.
Feels kind of like the end of part 4 actually, there was an emphasis on time back then, wasn't there?
I think it's chronologically close to the end, but that could take a lot of time considering how long some arcs can be. Even if there's only a week left in the story, one day of that week could cover many chapters and reveal a lot of new things.
didn't part 5 basically take place over the course of like a week
I actually remember seeing this in game informer as a kid. Shit takes me back. It was like an import section and was hyping up the game.
Yes.
>and invalidated most of the franchise
>there are brainlets that still think part 6 undid the events of parts 1-5
>there are still brainlets that think the part 6 end universe is the SBR universe
If they do part 7 full CG I'd be down for it, as long as they don't berserk it
But with the fact that they dropped the CG intros after part 3, I feel like CG must actually be harder for them than just doing shitty inbetweens
>Kato's current role isn't known
Could be explained briefly, doesn't need a dozen chapter.
>whatever the fuck Tsurugi's plan is isn't known, especially with Norisuke's death? shown
Tsurugi just follows whomever can guarantee safety for him. He's used others in the past and it's clear he just wants survival. Right now, Jobin is the person most capable person. Tsurugi is definitely far more intelligent than kids his age, he's basically a manipulative brat, which is obvious.
>circling back to whatever the fuck surfer guy's name is
Part of Kira's revealed past. Don't think he's planning anything. He might try to become an ally.
>the head doctor
Yeah, will probably go on for another 3 or 4 chapters. Maybe 2 but I'd be surprised.
>Yoshiteru Kira, Kira's dad who's been referenced in the character pages at the start of volumes since volume 15, still hasn't been introduced
He probably isn't important. Jojo often leaves out in-depth stories of character's parents.
>Tooru, who is obviously evil, hasn't been explored
Honestly I think he'll be an ally. We currently have a definite group of 3 people right now. I would no be shocked if he wants another regular.
>Is Jojolion really almost over?
I think we have 2 and a half year left, so not really. Although that's not that many chapter if you think about it.
Fake and retarded
Why do jojobronies force their dogshit on every board?
>He probably isn't important. Jojo often leaves out in-depth stories of character's parents.
I'd normally agree with you, but I really think part 8's different. Araki's been planning the story for a long time, and all the characters in the Higishikata and Kira family have at least some importance. I'd argue heritage is the biggest theme of part 8. I have a feeling it'll tie into Kira's past somehow, and we'll at the very least see him once.
Or maybe you're right and Araki just wanted to fill in some space on the Kira family tree. Fun to speculate though, cause I have no idea where the story's really going.
>part 6 is so bad part 7 will never happen
I don't have the patience for manga. I hope it gets animated. I want to see why it's regarded as the best part.
An adaptation of SBR probably wouldn't live up to the manga anyway, so you're not going to see why it's regarded as the best part unless you read.
fuck
I thought Josuke was supposed to be a homage to Prince.
>was expecting this to just be another one of the thousands of obscure VN's on the Saturn
>it's actually a TRPG
well shit, now I want this translated.
>IGN
lol
>I don't have the patience for manga
what's it like reading at an elementary level? because I can read part 3 in a fraction of the time it takes to watch it. I could read it twice in the time it takes to watch it.
Why do you force your dogshit IQ on every board?
>3ds is officially dead now
>seething jojobrony
WHERE IS IT
>The demo footage showed off sexy female characters, one of whom licked a male character's face, and several of them pose and walk with a strikingly sexy style.
To be fair I thought Bruno was a girl for like the very first few panels he was introduced. Still, funny as shit though.
it is assumed that they had solved the legal problem with the name but...
I'd take it even without all the licensed outfits that have from various collabs
The only other hurdle is that there's like a million ultra lewd outfits now, even one that's just pasties
We were supposed to get Metal Wolf on the Xbox
frontlinejp.net
>Ogura says that they had actually planned to release the original Xbox version of Metal Wolf Chaos worldwide, but that they cancelled these plans due to it being a sensitive time after 9/11.
Why is that? I think music is a big part of why I like JoJo so much.
is this a copypasta?
I don't want to believe someone is retarded enough to think part 6 is better than part 3 or part 5
George was pushing for the PSP port of Princess Crown to be released internationally, but Atlus shot it down because they didn't think it was marketable enough.
I don't even give a shit about Jojo, incel.
how come this nigga is a different color every time i see him
Still waiting for that English translation
the anime's OST is total ass though
>SEETHING jojobrony in a jojobrony discussion thread on vee
It has the best opening and ending though. Also, I think Part 5 is really good. Without it being animated I would've never known.
unironically Araki. literally just fucks with color schemes whenever he can.
Split it into 2 season's
Why are the good guys so weak compared to the villains? Every major villain can punch holes through someone but someone like Jotaro can't. What gives?
colorschemes are fun. The anime likes doing it during climactic moments
It was specifically stated the Star Platinum is physically stronger than The World
Why didn't he punch holes through the villains in parts 3 4 and 6?
Because donutting people is fucking evil user. ORAORAing them is enough.
the opposite, actually
I think it's just too grand in scale and too cinematic for DP to be able to handle it well, even putting aside CGI horses. Maybe if they broke it up into multiple seasons it could turn out okay, but if got the treatment the parts so far have gotten, I don't think it would work out too well. JJL would be well suited to an anime though.
He punched through Dio
