Awakening is made for normies so do that

"Fire Emblem" on GBA

the one on GBA is the only one I've played and it's great

7 has an extensive if patronizing tutorial, 13 is made for retarded babies, and 11 is a remake of the first game in the series so that could be a starting point too.

1

Thracia 776

This.
But desu it really doesn't matter.
The only ones that really have benefits from the playing the previous ones are path of radiance / radiant dawn.

Path of Radiance

Conquest ROMhacks with story fixes. Ignore every other game in this trash series.

What does the Fire emblem community think of Fire Emblem heroes? I know it's gatchashit but is it an ok game?

No

it's really only worth playing if you really really like fire emblem and want to play as characters from every game in the series, or are a huge huge waifu/husbando fag. But most fire emblem fans are already the latter so they eat that shit up like crazy. The Fire Emblem General on /vg/ pretty much does nothing but jerk off to their waifu in Heroes

This.

This

Fates Conquest. it's all about slaughtering chinks and it's the easiest one in the series, so it's perfect for a beginner like yourself

You have to really love gacha to enjoy it. My friend likes it a lot, but he's not really a fan of Fire Emblem. I've been playing FE since 2005, and I can't get behind it.

Awakening if you're more interested in modern FE.
7 if you're more interested in older FE.

Any game that's not 5, 10 or 12, because those are sequels.

Depends on your type. They're all translated.

Probably FE7 for the GBA, it's got a tutorial, and was the first one brought to the west.

If you're a waifufag, you'll probably still like it, but Awakening and Fates are going to be your main bag.

>They're all translated.
To varying degrees of quality, mind you.

Content apologize!

Whatever you do don't play gacha shit.

where's eirika and robin

Tear Ring Saga

In this version!

Awakening is THE entry point game of entry point games.
Was my first game, was great, and it revived the whole FE franchise.

Okay so I'm not OP, and I started shadow dragon a while ago, I just got the emblem item. Which units should I be working on getting stronger? Also I think I missed a couple of characters so far, how do I stop doing that? Also I see that there are these 6x etc chapters online, what the fuck are those?
how do I stop resetting whenever someone dies?

Look on Serenes Forest.

Use Wolf and Sedgar as Generals (or Wolf as a Hero), and train whoever else you're using like Cain, Abel, Caeda, Barst, it doesn't matter who you use really
Keep going if you miss characters and side chapters, you can replay later on harder difficulties with

Start with Blazing Blade (7). It gives you a thorough tutorial and is replayable as fuck.
Do you want another Elibe game, but with more challenge? And did you like Roy in Melee and want to find out who the fuck he is? Play Binding Blade (6).
Do you want something more like your standard RPG where you can grind? Play Sacred Stones (8).
Do you want a more intensive story and huge ass maps? Play Genealogy of the Holy War (4).
Did you like the world of 4 and do you want the difficulty jacked up? Play Thracia 776 (5).
Do you want 3D graphics, and did you like the character of Hector and want a character like him to be the main lord? Play Path of Radiance (9) and Radiant Dawn (10).
Do you want something primitive? Play Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (1)
Do you want something primitive but also experimental and weird? Play Gaiden (2).
Did you want 2 but not primitive, yet still experimental and weird with a nice presentation? Play Shadows of Valentia (15).
Did you want something with 1's protagonist but not as primitive with some more story? Play Mystery of the Emblem (3).
Did you want something with 1's protagonist but even less primitive?
Play Shadow Dragon (11) and then New Mystery of the Emblem (12).
Do you desire a modern, casual experience? Play Awakening (13).
Do you desire a more modern and hardcore experience but don't mind shit narratives? Play Conquest (14).
Are you a weeb casual who wants to be able to grind? Play Birthright (14).
Do you hate yourself? Play Revelations (14).
Are you a colossal fucking weeb? Play #FE.
Do you want to play another game made by that fuck who made 1-5? Play Tear Ring Saga.
Do you like gacha? Play FEH.
Do you like card games? Play Cipher.

There's a recruitment page here on serenes: serenesforest.net/shadow-dragon/characters/recruitment/
Side chapters are only for generic replacement units if you let too many units die in that game
Resetting when a unit dies is natural and expected, a majority of the games are balanced around it

give me a sec. here's the old version imgur.com/a/FtDTnpl

Imo it's fun enough as a game to play in 5 minute bursts when you're waiting around or something. I've tried a few other gatchas and not been able to get into them but FEH I find is passable.

Sacred Stones or the first FE in the states.

>doesn't include Smash Bros for people that like fighting games(ultimate or melee) or platformers(brawl subspace).

TMS#FE is better than most FE games. If not all.

Gachashit is for literal retards. That said, at the very least it has brought some attention to older FE titles and characters and added some good art of them. That's about the only good thing I can say of it.

Shadow Dragon teaches the basic gameplay for the whole series and Hard 5 is really fun.

9.
It's easy, tutorial isn't forced as fuck like 7, and has some of the best characters.

>smash bros

>pretending you knew about FE before melee

Never played melee and only had a GBA as a kid, the world doesn't revolve around your party game

Okay so then I actually haven't missed any units yet so that's nice
Also why are bosses really stupid? I just hit them with merric and wendell and they do nothing

Normally they have a ranged option, but some don't. The reason they don't move off the throne/gate/whatever is because then you could just run past them and seize it.
