Let's be real here, the game didn't give us the right option. Yen is a bitch, Triss is a thot, none of them are worth a damn. They actively make the game worse and both of their romantic plotlines feel shoehorned and actively work against who Geralt is a character. It's obvious that Geralt is into characters who can carry a sword in their pants. Yen and Triss both make Geralt a worse character.

Geralt isn't himself when he's with Yen, and Geralt would never choose Triss because that's totally out of his character. With Yen you can almost buy it, but she's just not a good match for him. Ciri was close because she was a bit of a tomboy, but they weren't enough of a boy for Geralt. But with Triss? That's just completely false. Geralt would never get into a proper romantic venture with her. At most he'd fuck her, but that's only to keep up the guise that he's a lady's man and that he's not interested in effeminate boys like he is. Geralt is a complex character and is beyond romancing either of these harlots.

Yen is the "canon" ending because books.

But remember video game is not books. You don't have to stay true to destiny and you have choices. Triss is arguably the "good" ending for Geralt. With Yen it is 20 years worth of drama and fighting. Every single one of Geralt's friends, Dandelion, Vesemir, witcher bros Lambert and Eskel hated Yen. Lambert I understand, but what kind of person don't go along with Vesemir. If all your bros saying that you're in a toxic relationship with your hoe, then it is probably a toxic relationship.

Most people picked the Ciri witcher ending because it is a "good" ending, despite not fitting with the overall theme of the Witcher series as presented by the game. If you pick the good ending for Ciri, why not also do so for yourself and romance Triss?

Yes Triss did some shenanigans, but at the start of 3 she's broke, living in rickety ghetto, had to use her magic to exterminate rats in the sewers and pretty much at a very low point in her life lacking confidence. Giving her redemption, and giving her another chance at Geralt's D will straighten her up for good. She even said that she'll allow you to witcher around in Kovir while she works earning money for the household and waiting for you to come home. She'll probably also let you fuck other women except Yen.

I can't see Yen doing the same, allowing Geralt for a night out in the tavern with other witcherbros.

As a Trissfag, honestly Triss' romance was not as good. You still do all the critical missions, including the ride to the final final tower with Yen. Triss is more or less a secondary background character in all of the game's main plot involving Ciri and the hunt.

But as people said here, Triss ending is probably a gooder ending overall, it allows Geralt to not be emasculated cuck to be ordered around and interrupted at every other sentence by Yen's snarky comments. All of Geralt's bros hated Yen and he probably couldn't hang out with them anymore if you picked Yen.

What makes most sense for the game is honestly the forever alone ending (either by romancing or rejecting them both), Geralt witchering forever and Ciri visiting you at the end of Blood and Wine, rather than the two thots with flaws as massive as Triss and Yen.

Triss' casting is damn near perfect. Yen is a 6/10

Book Witcher doesn't carry double swords on their back. Silver swords are tucked on their horses because monsters are not that common. Signs are OP in the game. In the books not even Mages can do mind control but you can jedi mind trick with Axii.
