Streaming videogames is the future of gaming. This is the next inevitable leap. "Hardcore" gamers playing games 24/7 in their basement are not the main consumers of games anymore. More and more people rather flexibility and portability and streaming games is going to make this much easier.
Many of you don't like this but you honestly have only yourself to blame. You obsessed over movie games calling them sophisticated and deluding yourself into thinking you weren't a manchild if your videogame had no no words and boobies. Read Dead Redemption 2 is a perfect example. The game is plagued by disgusting imput delay which is so bad they have to aim your gun for you, drive your horse for you etc. And you people ate it up calling it a "cinematic experience". Prepare yourself for many more "cinematic experience" games being streamed to you.
Furthermore, you pirated games wildly and indiscriminately saying that "these multimillionaire companies deserve it". Companies exist to make money! It's obvious that they would love a platform where their games can't be pirated.
This is the future of gaming and it's time to accept it.

Your points are even worth the time arguing with. Streaming is shit for many different reasons, all very well known to most of the posters on Yea Forums.
Xavier Hill
Glad piracy is at an all time high. Fuck devs and fuck publishers and most of all fuck streaming services.
Jaxson Gonzalez
>Hardcore" gamers playing games 24/7 in their basement are not the main consumers of games anymore. The problem is, they never were.
But also streaming is never going to be "mainstream". The infrastructure just flat isn't there.
Maybe one day, in 200 years, when we all live on Ring Stations orbiting jupiter, when every square inch of traversable real-estate is crafted from human hand, this might catch on, but in the here and now, when American infrastructure is crumbling far faster than its improving, consoles aren't going anywhere.
That's you guys problem. The service does not have to be available to everyone. Right now there are countless people who can't afford a console or pc, fareless the games that come out all the time for them.
Yet still there is an industry for them. Once enough people get with the times more will follow

If you can't afford these, you can not afford a good enough internet service to stream good games.

That was not my point at all. What I said is that the gaming industry is still functioning whilst many people can't afford it. It will be the same for STADIA.
There are many people who are too poor and live in areas with restrictive data caps that can't use it. But the industry will survive off those who can use it
Juan Wood
But who will use it?

Cant wait for ISP's to raise their rates through the roof as Video Game Streaming becomes more popular. That 100mps connection that is only 60 bucks a month right now? Double it if not more.
Ian Williams
-Gamers with busy schedules playing on the commute to work -gamers who want to play graphically intense games without having to bring a giant PC or PS4 with them -casual players looking for something new
A wide array of gamers are attracted to the flexibility and freedom Stadia offers

>-Gamers with busy schedules playing on the commute to work
retard. They surely won't use Stadia since you need fast good connection at all times.
>-gamers who want to play graphically intense games without having to bring a giant PC or PS4 with them
Streaming with lag input will turn off any real gamer. Only casuals who don't know jack shit might like this. Most murricans don't even have a good enough connection for 4k on this.
Owen Russell
Ignore OP because he is taking some Resetera opinions for his bait thread. He's a shill through and through.
>Gamers with busy schedules playing on the commute to work That's what handheld are for.

This shit will be like Planet Fitness.... a fuck ton of normie-wanna-be-gamers will buy into it and use it once a year. Like the fat fucks who pay for a Planet Fitness plan they never use except during the New Years when they're "going to lose it all THIS time."
Actual gamers will stick with PC, console, and handhelds.
Nolan Allen
By not buying a shit "console" like Stadia staying on superior PC

Who would get a car and have to pay for gasoline when there are perfectly good horses?
You have an awfully backwards mindset for someone so young. Let me guess, conservative?
Isaac Kelly
Yep
Ian Bennett
What an awful analogy. Please try again.
Hudson Powell
Believe or not "normies" make up the majority of video game sales. I know you guys like to feel special here but the average Joe won't give a rats bottom about a little input delay. They won't even notice it. And the average Joe brings in the most money. The majority of PS4 sales are for FIFA, a game that you guys won't even look at.
>A car is a necessity Holy retard What backwater 3rd world shithole did you crawl out of
Michael Moore
Normies would rather buy physical consoles.
Wyatt Ramirez
You're an idiot. Since you're an idiot allow me enlighten you. >normies aren't interested in games like Dark Souls, Inside, Grim Dawn, Hellblade, Warhammer. >normies ARE interested in Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Madden 2019, NBA, Forza, Battlefield.
The AAA, loot box trash that normies gravitate to make up a very small portion of the literal thousands upon thousands of games out there.
Developers and publishers know this and in order for them to make money they're going to have to maintain distributing games through traditional means like Steam/Xbox/PlayStation.
Robert Rogers
That is incorrect. Current data shows that most people rather the ease and comfort of digital downloads.
Most people who get physical do it just to post pictures of their cabinets or make some statement about "digital bad"
>You obsessed over movie games calling them sophisticated and deluding yourself into thinking you weren't a manchild if your videogame had no no words and boobies. What the fuck is this nonsense?
I am supposed to expect a horse to get me to my job on time especially my job is a good distance away not only that but where I am supposed to park it because I am pretty sure no place a parking spot for horses because they don't want it to smell like horse shit
Elijah Moore
If you can't afford any of those things, you've got bigger problems than worrying about playing video games.
Leo Morgan
What does this have to do with "movie games" you absolute retard
blame the government for giving monopoly to internet providers.
Jace Reed
I think he means total revenue. FIFA 2017 supposedly only sold 1 million copies of games (60 million revenue) but reportedly made over $2 billion in revenue from the game.
Cooper Wilson
i love downloading 90GB games at 3 mbs instead of installing off a disc at 120 mbs.
Ethan Sanders
>Believe or not "normies" make up the majority of video game sales.
You might as well also believe the fake statistics that women make up over 51% of gamers. That's exactly the bullshit gaming journalist used to shill.
Andrew Peterson
I thought net neutrality being gone removed all that and we should have competition between ISPs providing a good service?
Easton Garcia
>This is the future of gaming and it's time to accept it. I could just... stop playing video games?
Easton Powell
PS4 is pretty much a FIFA machine for fillipino niggas
Owen Myers
net neutrality wasn't about that at all.

Streaming is the future as much as 3D and VR is the future.
Kayden Martin

Charles Stewart
>Believe or not "normies" make up the majority of video game sales
I could understand, and even support it, if you could use a normal "Desktop" in the pro version and install/play whatever you want, but only play "Stadia store" bought games on the free version. But to only be able to play some handful of games and only if I buy them in their store, no thanks. I also can't quite see which kind of customer would benefit from their overall system other than some niche travel types.
So you are too poor to shell out for a low end gaming PC? But you can afford to buy every game you want and not either "pirate-test" or completely pirate it? I don't want to be the guy who says "Who'd need that", but I really struggle to see the audience here.
Robert Howard

Alright let's do this- Show me your face when people want to pay a subscription fee to BUY streamed games
They can save stadia by allowing me to lauch their games of hardware if i want to. Then no one will buy games on epic or steam if you can just buy them on google and being able to stream them if you want to.
Liam Rivera
All these poorfags holy shit Go get jobs losers

Bloodborne being that low is an absolute crime.

music is not games for example you can't play steam games without steam and if you go offline for a week they will stop working
Nolan Reyes
I can just swap hard drives if my PC dies. I can just redownload them from Steam if my hard drive dies. I can make changes to my ini files. I can run mods. I do a fuck ton more with a digital download than I could with some idiotic money grab idea by Google (who is notorious for being anti-consumer).
Eli Ross
You sound like an old man refusing to accept that phones done have buttons anymore. THINGS WILL IMPROVE FOR THE BETTER YOU CANNOT STOP PROGRESS
Elijah King
>and if you go offline for a week they will stop working
Source? I went an entire month with no internet, and could still play Steam games.
Anthony Lewis
It's a shit pretentious game Literally only manchildren with too much time on their hands and actual children play these "omg it's so hard xdd" games lmao
Eli Stewart
You fucking goyim better pay us $10 a month for absolutely nothing in return. It's only fair
But that's fucking wrong you stupid nigger. I went a year without internet, and my steam games worked fine.
Ian Thomas
Spoken like a true console peasant who doesn't know shit about PC gaming (but thinks he does because he watched some "Why Console is Better" videos on YouTube.
Ethan Howard
>games as a service >no mods >no mapping >so basically no custom campaigns and stuff like old doom wads >always online, constant drm >you possess nothing >high fuckhuge consumption of data >disgusting lag >awful lag >terrible lag >did I forget to talk about lag?
Dude, you can crack them Steam shall ever go down. You can't crack Stadia games since you were never given access to any files.
Ryan Morris
I doubt its at an all-time high compared to the 90s and early 00s, considering you had shit like Sega accidentally shipping a bios-entry tool with a game magazine promo disc
Evan Foster
so basically they have the games on a big computer, and you pay for them to stream them to you and its awful because you wouldnt be able to micromanage through like 3 full seconds of input lag
This thread is a fucking gold mine for retarded shill logic. I could go on, but I can't keep up with this thread any more. Don't forget to Sage these garbage shill threads.
So what you're telling me is that its only a problem in the largest gaming market with the highest inequality, thus indicating its the biggest problem for the poor people of that massive market who presumably are the target audience?
Joseph Morgan
I am fascinated that some of the first games announced are fighting games. A genre where the slightest lag can completely fuck you.
Literally why wouldnt it be CoD or something? I dont think Yea Forums fully grasps how many units those pop games manage to move per day come fall. Niche things like BB are a drop in the bucket, not something everyone rushes to buy
Anthony Mitchell
>Millions of us Keep it up, maybe someone will fall for your shilling.
>knot Depending on how they marketed to furries it coulda worked
Honestly this. Jrpg sure, who cares about latency in a turn based game. Even an RTS as long as its not Starcraft tier. But a FIGHTING game where frame precision latency is important, let alone stable fps??
Cameron Robinson
fuck fighting games anyway and also fuck any competetive games in general
Michael Collins
Based and demonpilled.
David Morris
Nice counterpoint
Landon Adams
Latency is also important for racing and platformers, so thats at least 3 game genres. And we saw the AC:O guy struggle with latency too. So we'll call that type of action game at least harder than normal
GAAAAAAAY. The future of gaming isn't HARDCORE ESPORTS, its gonna be casual walking simulators and whatever the fuck death stranding brings to the table. GAYDIA is dead on arrival.
Daniel Walker
>shilling so hard your tiny hat flies off
i'd rather play frisbee with your tiny hat than play S.T.D. GAYDIA
