I'm sorry to blogpost but I gotta get it off my chest and I don't have many outlets.

I don't know if anybody remembers but I posted on here after playing DMC5 in March that it made me cry because it reminded me of my dad and I had just found out he had cancer. My mom didn't let me see him because she was controlling. She would always tell him that I didn't want to see him, and vice versa. In reality I would beg to go see him but she always had an excuse. So I wasn't able to get to know him outside of a few phone calls a year til I was grown. In a lot of ways I related to the story.

I just found out that he's too sick to do chemo and he has about a week to live. It really hurts.

Because saying you "can't confirm nor deny" is going to be seen as confirmation by a lot of people, and then when nothing happens, people get disappointed. If you lie and then go JK, it's much easier. People will expect the lie (and may sometimes find out it wasn't a lie), but it's a lot less damaging just to say nothing's planned.

No one knows for sure, but the missions with multiple playable characters are divergence missions. Divergence mode probably lets you play the whole game as whoever you want.

There was actually a bit in the trailer showing Dante using the bike weapon in mission 1. Might happen.

Just replay one if the divergent stages you haven't already finished in the missions menu, you'll keep the red orbs and you'll be able to buy a couple each mission (from memory). The difficulty spike at the end of the game is real

Don't think that's possible, i'd say of them all he's like sparda the most. Through the game it shows you how much he cares about people, humans especially. Offered Vergil dinner. Saved the soldiers. Tells lady not to push herself and get rest. Dante saw V stumbling and rode off on his bike, Nero saw V stumbling and carried him. Hell he went to help Dante despite being crippled and still kept trying to help despite being treated like shit.

The design of that Donte, as well of his sword and the enemies is pretty much the same as the final game though, they just touched it up a little. So it's likely that most of the game would be no different, they just added more colors and removed the psychiatric ward/experiments subplot.

Mundus is chump change compared to Sparda and Dante became stronger than Sparda at the end of 1 so Mundus isn' really a threat anymore

I mean they did find a way to make Vergil strong enough to btfo 4Dante. They'd probably asspull a reason for Mundus getting stronger.

You also don't need a villain to be a straight up powerhouse that stomps the protags directly.
Mundus in 1 was a schemer that sat back in his throne hiding away and letting his generals do his dirty work for him until Dante made his way to him.
As powerful as Dante and co are, they can't do much if they can't actually reach the antagonist. I think this is the direction they should go if they want to keep them in play without upping the powerlevels even more.

Despair Embodied is a DECENT boss fight but nowhere near as good as Vergil

If anything, a primary conflict that they could do for Dante would be to utilize a "race against the clock" idea where he bonds with someone enough to really want to save them, but even though he has the power to take care of it, he's not sure if he can make it in time.

If anything, it'd be nice to see Dante directly save someone for once. Even if Dante manages to save to die, pretty much everyone else dies by the time he gets there.

Dante's character is just like the DMC series in general: Inconsistent.

They're made dynamically (hence why they change depending on when you skip the cutscene), that's why there's a noticable lag between skipping a cutscene and the mission clear scene playing. In conclusion, they're not saved in the game's files.

LOL I felt similar, when you add JYB's intense voice to how heavy and hard Nero hits it just all fits so good. They nailed the feeling of his moves being weighty and JYB being so convincing that you feel the connection between his voice and him swinging that sword or body slamming shit.
