Can we have an appreciation thread for Shivering Isles? This expansion was amazing:
>the island being split between mania and dementia
>the quest where you have to ingest felldew and become addicted to it
>having to take a side with the soldiers
>the super colorful over saturation of mania
>the town of split with everyone having a double
>all the weirdos in new sheoth
>becoming a daedric prince at the end

As an oldfag boomer that played Daggerfall, Arena, Morrowind and Battlespire to death, this is the last time TES felt like TES.

Goddamn you Todd.

It still had the same problems the main game had but it was well worth it for the kind of shit in it.
Skyrim is just fine as an ES. Morrowind is my favorite but Skyrim is second, Oblivion is still great and in my top 10.

the night sky in this game was crazy

It is a god damn sin Skyrim had no dlc to this level of attention.

Dragonborn was very very well done in my opinion, though a solid 50% of that was because of the nostalgia bait (it worked, sue me).

i like dogs

>Skyrim is just fine as an ES
people like you genuinely will get the gas chamber right alongside the juden
you are less than human. a literal sub-human that enjoys grovelling for shit and fecal matter you find smeared on the side of the road you blithering retarded idiot

I remember having so much fun in Shivering Isles.

I can't pick up Oblivion again tho... or any bethesda rpg anymore. Kinda sad

Just giving my opinion, my dude. I love the series and I would gladly play Morrowind, Skyrim, or Oblivion over most other games in the world.

I’ll see you in court sir

Your opinion is wrong.

aight man

>Skyrim is just fine as an ES
I mean in the sense that every ES removes more and more shit from the previous game, yes, it does fit in with the series.

Now, if you consider Elder Scrolls an RPG, then Skyrim doesn't look so good.

This. I'm taking some time this weekend to actually mod my copies of Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, as well as a multiplayer Morrowind I plan on playing with Friends.

I consider Elder Scrolls less as an RPG and more as being an Elder Scrolls world to discover and explore. Morrowind has great RPG mechanics and it's why it's my favorite, but Skyrim is action RPG passable and has plenty of world to check out.

>I consider Elder Scrolls less as an RPG
Welp, there you go.

i love so many of the quotes in this game. classic nonsense that can make a weird amount of sense
>now get going, before i change my mind....or my mind changes me
>he knows a lot...more than he knows
>It's simply essential! Now if only it was essentially simple..

Fuck you, Dawnguard was fabulous. Only DLC that ever fell completely off was Fallout's shit.

The pandering work less for me because it was so very lazy and superficial

>action RPG passable
In what sense? The combat isn't particularly good, and even a game as broken and bland as Oblivion managed to do the RPG aspect better.

And I just said I would prefer more RPG mechanics to less, regardless. Skyrim works for what it is though, and is plenty of fun even without them.

another victim of wifaiu bait

And what better way to appreciate this than by supporting the series and purchasing three additional copies of Skyrim for the whole family

I was disappointed when Split was just the result of some curse. I was hoping it would just be a weird town with two of everyone, not something you had to really deal with as a problem

Not just about Serana, the new lore was awesome.

Dawnguard fucking sucks
At least Dragoborn gave a big open new area to explore

>Just giving my opinion
Yeah, and you're being judged for it, smoothbrain.

Skyrim felt like such a letdown but it wasn't that long after Shivering Isles
Is it possible TES VI returns to form and feels like Oblixion/Shivering Isles? Or is it just a straight descent

Fuck that, DG gave tons of lore on vampire history, snow elves, soul cairn etc plus DG actually gave decent new abilities and changes to existing ones like Werewolves. Shouts in DB sucked balls. Except maybe cyclone which was still just a glorified unrelenting force. And not a single character was memorable in DB except for the one guy who you kept having to give money to. Even the antagonist himself sucked balls compared to Harkon. DG had Harkon, Serana, Valerica, the most based redguard in all of Skyrim Isran etc. DB was good because of the cthulu shit, that's it.

Oblivion just can't match Skyrim's world period. It's be several years since Skyrim, and it's still one of the best designed maps and terrain in any sandbox RPG.

Look I agree that DG was great but I think you're selling DB short, a lot. You're forgetting Neloth for one, as well as the callbacks to Morrowind.

TES VI is going to be absolutely amazing desu.
