No more "personal house looking area" when you log in (which was the "newest addition the last time I played, with it originally looking like some dark castle area in late 2017)
I try to make use of the new "favorite world" feature and assuming what I can remember still comes up, it's been completely gutted in terms of how big it was.
Keep seeing all this "quest compatibility" shit which makes me think that knowing how the oculus quest is some "underpowerd and cheap vr" may be right, in terms of what it's doing to the game.
Luckily I didn't run into any trannies/furries, but then again I didn't try to go looking for them, so while I maybe lucked out, it wasn't so bad in that regard.

I haven't felt like hooking back up my Vive in awhile (which I got "owned-but-never-opened" from a friend for half the price back in late 2017, because otherwise I wouldn't have bought one)
But FUCK playing on desktop, some people have apparently been living on it through that way for well over a year at this point, but the game is a million times less fun and interesting without any form of VR.
It also doesn't hide everything that's broken as well as VR does.

The CV1 actually has a pretty good mic. from what i've seen Rift S still has a better mic than Vive.

I couldn't get into SL.

I got completely overwhelmed by menus and maps that either had shit loads of fuck and colors in them or barren maps with nothing in them. Plus I felt so out of place having to use the default loser characters among a bunch of other players who clearly put hours upon hours of work into their entire oc.

It was a lot to take in and I felt like I had no business playing that game without at least having a basic knowledge of scripting and character modeling.

The close group suffer constant apathy because of the conditions of testing. You get in, do the test and report about it, you do not get any free room to speak about about external bugs or bugs outside of the domain of what they are testing. Close beta is integration tests of new things. The new stuff has to function in the official maps. If you go above a certain number of dynamic bone elements other clients will disable the simulation automatically. Allthough this has proven to be an artificial low limit and doesn't improve performance at all.

I did try VRchat a few months ago on my shitty laptop. I thought I would have no problem talking to people but everytime someone tried talking to me I just froze and didn't know what to say. And even if I did, I couldn't get the words out of my mouth for some reason. I don't even have these issues irl.
