PS3 and Wii both had similarly sized libraries with a couple classics each, they were both worth owning in the end while the 360 lost most of its good exclusives and floundered throughout the second half of the gen because MS wanted to focus on gimmicky Kinect shit.

Saturn got very little shovelware, it wasn't nearly popular enough for that, however it did have an absolute ton of hentai because SEGA hadn't banned hentai from their games yet, therefore it's objectively better than the 64.

From what i remember: Wii was dominating commercially due Casuals but the actual quality of most games on it are arguable because Success breed Asset Flips, 360 dominated the "Dudebro" Casual-But-Not-Grandma "I got a console because a gaming PC is EXPENSIVE" Cawadoody audience that may or may not be 12 and didn't actually play anything exclusive except maybe Gears of War. PS3 was a Weeb and Movie Game machine with the Weebs and GAMES ARE ART fags as the audience.

When I was a kid, I knew so many more households that owned a Genesis over the SNES.

The N64 still has tons of shovelware, shitty license games, bad racing games, and all of the sort. The only difference is that unlike with Saturn and the PS you can't go out and find hidden gems, and you are forced to play basically one to two games per genre and then overhype then to justify why you are playing the same game over the whole fucking year. This is how mediocre games like Banjo gain massive cult status, though some games were so bad not even 64kids could overhype then, like Quest64

Yeah, dating sims and VNs, also known as the most chad genres, on the other hand the N64 has nothing but 2 Zelda games and Mario 64.

And how many of those 400 N64 games are trash user? The percentages stay similar, 80% of the PS1 library could be total trash and it would still an upperhand on the 64.
