I actually like the rail shooter sections. Only kamiyaism I hate is Operation 006 in TW101 that's underwater, the camera angle makes it awful. Helps that Mundus 1 and Spacer Harrier sections are accompanied by great music.

I liked the pacing of Okami, it was part of what made it a COMFY adventure that really let me take in the folklore, i mean the very end was kinda rushed and unnecessary, but by then it felt like i had gotten like 2 full stories each with a satisfying climax (Orochi and Ninetales), but i can see what you mean.
