Has there ever been a video game remake which accepted the original's "flaws" instead of replacing them with whatever generic style was popular at the time?

Yes.

Okay thanks

Your welcome.

Images like these would actually have a point if they were based on actual things the devs did.

oh fuck that nigga on the right wearing different clothes

Middle is fanart based on the malformed Morrowind models which embraces the technological limitations, right is how Crassius looks like in Elder Scrolls: Legends. You can infer that they'd use the art on the right as the base for a 3D game/remake of Morrowind rather than the middle based on the twelve million remakes which did the exact same thing.

Right one actually look like a deviant pervert.

Brainlet tier character design philosophy

How so?

He looks like John Wick

Cool, Keanu Reeves is pretty nice.

why use such harsh words against Uncle Curio?
he just likes to play is all, it's all in good spirit

Yeah, I know what sort of "play" he enjoys.

Morrowind rebelled when they found the Dunmer children buried under the floorboards in his mansion.

it's literally the same shit, he's just wearing new clothes

You didn't like The Dance of the Three-Legged Guar?

You know, I was going to say Left 4 Dead 2, but a lot of L4D1's gameplay was changed by L4D2's additions
>Melee weapons made hordes not scary
>Spitters alone removed 99 percent of the good holdout spots in L4D
>Bile lasting fucking forever makes rushing certain segments of the map possible, pretty much removes all common for a minute
>Ammo never a problem because weapons litter the map like candy
>Tanks aren't scary because their AI was changed to not focus survivors until death, instead swapping targets after downs
>Chargers killed chokes
>Some Jesus rooms patched out, skips patched out (like the No Mercy chapter 1 skip removed)
Seriously though melee weapons fucked L4D2 so hard

>DSP: Wooowwwwwwwwww

Fuck man I hope game devs pay attention to this. I love these threads and the images people make on this subject, it's a relief on it's own that people feel the same way I do.

L4D2 dropped a lot of the pretense of being a co-op horror experience. It kind of fits how the zombie trend changed from being about survivalist fantasies to power trip fantasies.
