It didn't catch when Onlive was a thing.
It didn't catch when GameFly started doing it.
It still hasn't when Playstation started doing it.
And it will continue to miss the target well through and passed Stadia's presence.

it's already been confirmed that stadia has 100ms+ latency. It's dead jim

PLANES WILL NEVER CATCH ON

LOOK AT THESE FAILED ATTEMPTS, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK WRIGHT BROTHERS CAN DO IT!

See Streaming is inevitable, regardless of timescale. Everyone on this board has already accepted it.

Internet speeds will improve. Just you wait.

We already have airplanes, why the fuck would I want to ride in an airplane that makes me even more nauseated?

Seems like a lie. I don't trust it.

You're retarded, console and PC has 100ms+ latency on ass creed too

If they released it to the world so that you could play in your browser from anywhere day one then yeah Stadia would catch on. The way they're doing it now (requiring a Stadia streaming system or a Pixel 3) is killing it before it even starts

True about the planes.
But we do not have the technology to do streaming games. And even if we did. It's not remotely readily available for consumer use due to Greedy and Cheap internet providers.
This is currently a pipe dream for at least another 10 years.

I mean shit. Less than 25% of the US has Fiber. and that shit's been around for years.

You'll learn to play around it. It's already meme that terrible players use as an excuse for why they lose.

>google couldn't even beat ISPs when trying to make google fiber a thing to the point where they ceased expansions
>but somehow ISPs will suddenly quadruple their speeds in order for this to actually function

It's still terrible lag

>quadruple their speeds in order for this to actually function
Retard

This.

At the very least, everyone agrees that it's inevitable. Game streaming will become the standard soon no matter what deniers say.

>still hasn't when playstation started doing it
it's incredibly popular. Just not in the western world where internet speeds are absolute shite.

>Internet speeds will improve.
Hahaha not in America

This man is right. Games are fine no need for this streaming bs

The failed attempts have to do with the architecture of the country and the ISPs and the cable quality.
Being able to stream in ideal settings is not the same as it being consumer ready.

>Internet speeds will improve
latency has very little to do with internet speeds/bandwidth.
this wasn't for just asscreed, this was a minimum latency for any game played in stadia.
for genres that rely on reactions times it's cause a big problem and in some cases would make a game unplayable (especially rhythm games and fighting games). On top of that, you have bitrate issues to tackle with degrading video quality, and there is no perfect solution for that either.

You're acting like this is an innovation rather than a nuisance.

The heat death of the universe is inevitable. Just because something is inevitable doesn't mean it's coming remotely soon.
Right now it's so far off that video games might be a shallow shell of what they already are when we finally get competent streaming for nearly everyone.

Nice data cap, America.

Doesn't matter to me. If a game is streaming-only, I simply won't play it.

This. Also forced transgenderism and ponification is the future and is gonna catch on.

Game streaming will catch on eventually
It just won't be any time soon, especially with how shitty the internet infrastructure is in the US, the innate speed of information down traditional wires and the number of signal boosters and routers that the signal has to pass through

Thanks Trump! He’s the best at Cyber. Everyone tells him he is!

And because 5G was also being developed which is pointless to run millions in Fiber so the incels can whine about Youtube on a Chinese knitting board

Is this primarily an outside-of-US product? Surely they understand how fucking garbage our internet service is, even at best.

>Internet speeds will improve. Just you wait.
HOLY FUCK

Yeah and Microsoft will share their technology with Google.

But thats Microsoft tecnology
