What mods would you recommend for my first playthrough?
I'm looking for fixes and some minor graphics overhaul
Fallout New Vegas
Other urls found in this thread:
nexusmods.com
twitter.com
NMC's textures
Fellout if you don't like the orange tint to the game
YUP
JSawyer's mod
4GB patch + anti crash/ stutter mods
Would not recommend Millenia's weapon re textures because they fuck my shit up good and they ruin some guns, like the Service Rifle and All American.
If you have a 144hz monitor you will need to limit your in-game FPS to 60 or you will be playing the game at mach 3.
No Project Nevada?
should i get this on steam or gog, does it make a difference?
For fixes you probably only need Yukichigai and JSawyer mod. Also that one mod that fixes the rep system for Lonesome Road. Anything else is just vanity.
There's no difference
Not in your first playthrough. Even after that it's pretty shit
>Project Nevada
>shit
I disagree desu also I'm not OP. I'm thinking of reinstalling and just want a simple mod list.
What about ENB?
Play the game normally first
>Fellout if you don't like the orange tint to the game
why not Clarity?
go to the fallout general
dont bother with graphic mods, you'll never be happy and it looks inconsistent as shit, especially since the DLCs arent retextured.
YUP
anti stutter mods and that 4gb patch mentioned previously
first person camera mod. That's it
Some interior lighting mods and anything that removes the orange tint is what I go for.
Make sure you get anticrash, anti stutter and the 4GB patch too
Reshade with ultra presets is nice.
Tale of Two Wastelands so you have double the fun
also anticrash/antistutter/4gb patch like everyone had said
Got a link for that Reshade in particular? I don't know fucking anything about Reshade and nothing comes up in google other than ultra sharp and Ultra Realistic.
Not OP but /fog/ won't tell you shit. I've tried in the past. They just sit around and smell their own farts and complain about 'caitfag'.
they have pastebins in the OP
or even reddit
Even with anti-stutter mods, I still get stutters, whether its the fixed NVSR or Tick Fix
the game engine is just trash, people are lying if they say they got 60fps locked 100% time. i have a beefy rig and still get drops in certain areas with a modded game.
NVSR is outdated, though. there's a new mod that does the same thing but better.
I used to use it in my earlier playthroughs and you are honestly better off without it. It makes the game even easier than it already is with superhero bullet time and lightning speed sprinting and it ruins the flow of the gameplay. I also have performance issues with it enabled.
You are best off with the most lightly modded game for the smoothest experience
Never heard of clarity, I don't even really use fellout all that much only RWL lately, nights suck though.
I like sprinting and the cool shit like visor modes. I could care less for Bullet Time. bullet time is a meme and always will be a meme in anything but FEAR
just disable the bullet time its literally the first8rst option in the mod menu
What exactly does JSawyer's mod do?
New Vegas Uncut series, especially Freeside Open which removes all the loading screen barriers from Freeside
Mission Mojave for a ton of bugfixes
JSawyers mod is nice but makes things more difficult, you can always turn down the difficulty ingame though.
And of course, 4GB executable.
nexusmods.com
Here user.
Killable Children
Child Soldiers
Ghoul children
All you need
>Freeside Open
you're just asking for an unstable game with that.
This is important! What Mod program do i use?
Mod Organizer, FOMM, or Nexus?
based friend
Vortex
>MM
>Not YUP
No mods for the first playthrough (unless you really need it), then install mods
Vortex no joke.
But why tho
Super easy to run once you figure it out and you have to be retarded if you fuck up the mods with it since it tells suggestions now.
MO/MO2 is literally the best mod organizer out there solely because you can unfuck anything you installed and auto-sort your shit
Imagine if you could type phrases like "jsawyer changelog" into some sort of internet database searching site and get a result in the time it took you to type that question and hit reply
Easy Pete dies
this. anyone who chooses the other two are either stuck in the past or brainlets.
It's basically a director's cut of the game - a mod made by the game director Josh Sawyer that is mainly a re balance mod, but it also adds a few cut items. It reduces hp, carry weight and so on.
The majority of PN just doesn't interest me anymore, I don't care for the rebalance because JSawyer sorts me out. Nightvision and the visor modes were pretty cool, but they were a meme - I never really used them.
The sprinting in PN felt fast as fuck, I could just yeet away form everything, just breaks immersion for me, but each to their own. Exploding locks was good though.
It's weird because I really enjoyed FWE for Fallout 3.
>fixes
4gb Loader, New Vegas Anti Crash (NVAC), New Vegas Stutter Remover, Yukichigai Unofficial Patch (YUP), Unofficial Patch Plus, Lonesome Road True Faction Allegiance, Melee Reach Fix Ultimate, Ultimate Invisible Wall Remover, Collision Meshes, Tutorial Killer, Passive Startup Messages, JIP Improved Recipe Menu
>graphicals
Vanilla UI Plus, Improved LOD Noise Texture, Enhanced Camera, Centered 3rd Person Camera, Hall of Face, HD Hi-Res Worldview Weapon Textures, Clarity
>gameplay/content
JSawyer Ultimate, Uncut Wasteland, Economy Overhaul
I'd probably skip JSawyer and Overhaul your first time through. YUP is the only mod I'd call mandatory or essential, though.
Stop recommending NVSR you retards, it doesn't work anymore
freeside open can fuck your shit up royally
Nobody cares about dipshits using W10
nice!
Nevada Skies also does what clarity does but adds some more weather and sky effects.
