Maybe saying "detail" isn't right. Details, like the signs, different flowers, and overworld pokemon are nice. The problem here is the textures being too noisy

Even then, if you put this shit on a super nintendo or genesis it would also look like shit compared to the contemporaries. I think Gen 3 was still really good, I loved Ruby and Sapphire. But yes, Gold-Silver will always be the best for me.
