They are coming for PS4 and Xbone too. If Switch versions have touch screen support and redone UIs to support it they might be best out of three, but I doubt it.

They added a few shitty OC donut steel tier quests and companions that were literal garbage, tried to fix some bugs, added even more bugs, censored some dialog here and there if memory serves.

It works and everything and it's not the worst way to enjoy the games, especially if you just want to get it running fast, but only ever play it on PC where you can mod it.

Beamdog didn't just port the game, they "enhanced it". Changing the content was the entire point of the project.

They have been selling the game for ages without worrying about censoring it, and they know people would tear them a new one if they even dared removing a bunch of content, especially without heavily remastering most of it.

I got all of these games on my Steam and I couldn't finished them because I gotta zoom zooom. Might pirate this on Switch and I actually see myself finished them this time. Some games just don't feel right to play on PC, felt the same with Hollow Knight but completed it on Switch.

I bought Icewind Dale for my iPad a while ago while it was on sale, and it was utterly shit on a 10.5" display, i don't know they'll get it working well on a 6" display.

I mean the publisher can keep them. I'd actually buy some of these again for the Switch if I could play the original versions.
