gungeon has improved immensely since release

I never liked "enter the Gungeon" much anyway. In my opinion it scraped juuuuust past being a good roguelike
The main issue are the weapons. If you don't get a good gun pretty soon, your run is just ass. And that makes a lot of the runs unenjoyable. "But, RNG is part of roguelike!" yes, but so is having viable options. In other roguelikes you might not get what you want, but chances are you can make it work. In Gungeon if you get a bad drop, you feel like you might as well restart.

For a good combination of shooting and roguelike, I'd recommend Ziggurat: gog.com/game/ziggurat

The Steam drone is employing what we call a "strawman", using themselves as a baseline to think anyone defending EGS is just as insanely fanboyish as they are as they actually do think Steam is flawless

Gungeon takes a little bit to get going, before you get unlocks and can get to the "hidden" floors reliably, its pretty grindy and you just dont have alot of tools to your disposal. Fucking love ziggurat though, shame it didnt get any real post launch updates to keep my playing
