I like the game too but I'm not going to say to anyone that it's anything above a 3/10. His love for the combat system specifically is one thing I take huge offense with. The characters were great, music was amazing for the most part (poor implementation), and the story/world had massive potential but hell Tabata really took a machete to it.

You have yoor reasons them. To me, FFXV ending was one of the best that i've ever seen in a video game, and it stayed with me far longer thanit should. I'll always have a special place in my heart because of it. Things like the last bonfire scene and the "Walk tall, my friends" were such great moments that made me hate the new added stuff in Dawn of the Future.

Tabata did what he could. Its extremely difficult to do a AAA game, and even more to do one in 3 years in one of the worst game engines there is. I even liked how open he was with discussing the game and accepting feedback. Things that Nomura don't do.

That would be vanilla Persona 4 Arena. Granblue was ok, but when it goes bad, its really unplayable.

The ending is indeed amazing but it is so in spite of the fact that 80% of the proposed story is missing. There are giant plot holes, clearly cut gameplay segments, and nearly the entire cast is underutilized, if even included at all. The main heroine is reduced to a couple minutes of screentime and her entire role in the story is basically gone. Hell even from the villain side of things the empire was gutted and Ardyn has to carry the game alone.

Again there are some good things to the game but overall it's a complete and total failure.

I used to like Max more, but throughout the years he has just become a shill. The guy used to exclusively make content about games he was passionate about. Now he does epic reaction videos to literally everything related to a fighting game and then "plays" them for like a week before dropping them and moving on. It is blatant and feels wrong to me, especially when he basically is lying about how much he likes a game or how excited he is. His content where he is playing a game he really likes (Like RE4, RE2Make) is still fine, but it has hurt my ability to enjoy him. I avoid 90% of his videos now and only watch a select few.

Also the whole MK11 debacle really opened my eyes. This guy got invited to NRS, and then immediately started to say leaks for MK11 are wrong and he won't cover them (yet he makes videos on every potential leak for every other game), and he did his best to run damage control for MK11's fucked up state at release. On stream, he seemed to get upset, but then immediately went and made a video (that was viewed many, many, many more times) apologizing for NRS and saying that they're gonna work on it and such, and that you shouldn't say bad things about the game.
