Its good (great art, atmosphere, depth, writing etc.) but it tries too hard to be "hardcore" and alot of the game just feels like a slog to get through.

Get Salt and Sanctuary or Ori and the Blind Forest instead. They're actual good modern Metroidvanias, unlike Hollow Shite

The map is awful though, so be prepared to get lost and backtrack.

i'd gladly pay 30$ for it, it's crazy that it's as low as 15$ for the amount of content.
given it's 8$ on GOG i'd stay it's an instant buy

Haven't played Salt and Sanctuary but both Ori and Hollow Knight are great games! Hollow Knight has a lot more playtime and depth though
