Two was already a bit of a looter but get where you're coming from. There has been so many mistakes in the "genre" that it's pretty much trash for most people. So let's just label it as a game where you play as all four horsemen as they ride together to bring war on heaven, hell, and everything else gets in their way.

The franchise got screwed because of bad business management, then got bought by a sub-par company and is now alive because for all it's experimentation, it's a unique and interesting franchise.

The third game did well enough in the market.
They already confirmed Darksiders 4 and gave a green light to develop a spin off.

A single player adventure where switch between horsemen to solve puzzles and advance through the scenario sounds much better to me.
Combat could also profit from having several horsemen on "standby" to use as specials and the like
Lets not turn it into another shitty MMO

Strife will still get his gameplay in 4. Fury was more of an experiment for revitalize the franchise by making another game. I'd guess they thought about going for the feminizm bullshit, thinking it'd be more marketable. Good think they backed off that shit in time.

is Darksider 3 good? Combat feels like Souls lite opposed to combo heavy game in the first DS.

There is an option to switch combat to be more like in the previous 2 games. Game is okay but make sure you wait for a sale before buying it.

The one with Fury? That was a few years ago.

IIRC they started with mechanics similar to soulsborne games but toned it down after a few patches.

Perfect type of game for Darksiders. Darksiders 2 was already going in that direction.

Why ? Literally everythinf I've seen of Fury makes her unsufferable, with a "redemption" in the last quarter of the game, a pep talk to the humans, and that's all.

Yes, but the pacing is shit. It's got a shitload of optional content, but the leveling system makes every boss off the beaten path artificial difficulty and requires you to come back much later in the game.

I haven't played it but this new isometric warhammer game that came out a couple of days ago seems all right.
