I'm playing it right now. Probably the best game these guys have ever done. Owl (father) is too goddamn hard, but Im having a blast with the game.

Same, I picked it up kinda late because I was too busy with MMOs and DMC5. Having a blast, it's like picking up a new souls game for the first time. The story/world also have me hooked because it's a breath of fresh air but with familiar good points.

By the way, is there any news / possibility about a DLC? I'm not sure how it would work, since the whole thing is quite closed and focused, but I'd love to be a little longer in Ashina

At any point, are you supposed to use direct combat on any of the mini-bosses. I started this the other day and the base katana did piss all in terms of damage against General Naomori. If it weren't for the obvious stealth route behind him for the free fatal blow, he would've been a real boring pain.

Stealth and dirty tactics (prosthetics, objects) are encouraged. You're supposed to win, no matter what.

Give a sequel set in China, create it in two years with the original team.

he's not that hard once you get used to the game. i made it a principle not to cheese any bosses. i was absolutely hopeless at it but by facing each enemy head on i got better after about a million deaths

Deathblow is not cheesing them. Sure it's sort of a built in "easy mode", but it's a mechanic and it's encouraged, so not really a cheese.

Kinda. I had fun playing it, but it's sort of a one and done type game. It doesn't have the replayability of the Souls games or Bloodborne.

one of the best games i have ever played hands down. if more games approach the concept of difficulty in this way it would make all games more rewarding.
this game made me mad at casuals for the first time ever because now i understand what we could have but dont because games have to pander to them

I assumed as much. The rest of the area did extremely well to teach that you're meant to run around rooftops, sneak through grass, and always be on the move when trying to take out enemies, it's just that I wasn't sure if the mini-boss also required you to be as sneaky and underhanded because of where he was and how he sort of pushes you into an up-front encounter.

Divine Cunny of Rejuvenation!

well whatever you want to call it, i didnt do it. i definitely will be using more shinobi-like tactics on my second playthrough however

Its a good game but lack of online means theres not much to talk about

You're looking at the game in the wrong way. The real hp bar is the posture bar. You shouldn't care at all about the red bar

Any hint for DLCs?

i wish we could unlock different outfits for the MC. not a fan of his design und being able to unlock diff outfits would give an incentive to replay the game. they dropped the ball on that one

Yes. Sekiro is a boring trash with 0 replayability.

>not a fan of his design

King of shit taste

Some sort of customization would have been nice, but it's obvious it wasn't part of their design.

I would love a sort of "non sequel" with another MC. Like they could use the "shadows die twice" motto instead of Sekiro 2.

i really hope the people who are making ghost of tsushima take notes on combat difficulty from Sekiro and adjust their own gameplay accordingly. i dont want to breeze through enemies that's fukin boring.
sekiro gave me a real boner for samurai/ninja style games, any body got any other recommendations?

Attached: GOT.jpg (1920x1080, 221K)

Of course. It's a shitty game that only dumb normalfags enjoy.

i think customisation would have been too much but different outfits isnt asking too much surely, even just 1 or 2

>sekiro gave me a real boner for samurai/ninja style games, any body got any other recommendations?

COMPLETELY different vibe, but I enjoyed Way of the Samurai IV (the other parts are probably good too, but I couldn't bother finding them for PC). It has a whimsical comedy tone and a weird gameplay structure (short game meant to be replayed multiple times, there are so many endings), but there is very interesting customization of swords/combat styles.

>that faggot scarf
yeah, no

It looks like it's gonna have some boring gameplay. I have some interest in the game, but not a lot of high hopes.

Compensating for something macho boy?

The PS1 Tenchu and Tenchu 2

i really love the music in the trailer when he's riding through the field on his horse. the atmosphere seems great and i like the fact that there are no fantasy elements in the game. but yeah i wasnt a fan of the slo-mo teleport combat at the end of the trailer

yes, my tiny penis. well done

How do I beat daddy (Owl (Father))?

ah yeah i heard of this a few times, might have to give it a look

With some bosses, it might easier to drain the health bar to like halfway first, so their posture doesn't regen so quickly.

What is this and when is it coming out

It might be useless to deflect at first but eventually you'll get a few hits in so really if you're playing against posture their HP bar will go down too. Bosses aren't aggressive enough to purely defeat them through blocking (unless someone did a no R1 [except for deathblows] run and I haven't seen it yet).

Lone Longswordsman becomes a normal enemy later so you should learn how to beat him by staying in his face, mikiri his kicks, and punish his sweeps. But yes, everyone that isn't a mook is a damage sponge.

Costume mods are the main mods made for this game. Get on nexus. Better than them going the microtransaction route.

yeah but official unlockable outfits would feel better. a reward for completing with the bell demon equipped or something i dunno

isn't WotS 3 also available on Steam? It's way more serious.

no I am fighting the dude who chopped my arm off.
this guy makes me made how he can respond so much faster than me. Like I feel Okami's basic attack speed is kinda slow for a ninja. any one else feel this way?

this, this is what I wanted. like a black ninja out fit, or anything that conceals identity.

Not word as of yet, but there are plenty of hooks for one. Especially regarding Takeru/Tomoe.

Fashion dies twice

the doctor (Emma's mentor) too, right?

exactly.

Dogen, maybe. I get the feeling it will be a "Trip into the past" style of thing using the Buddha statue and we will meet a bunch of the characters that are only mentioned (Takeru, Tomoe, Dogen, Kingfisher, etc.) and see other characters when they were in their prime, like Owl or Orangutaun.

It makes sense. Flashbacks idols have already been introduced, so it would be the most sensible option.

I just beat Demon of Hatred using the cheese and now I feel like a piece of shit. Shouldn't have done it.

No and you keep saying I forgot about it every single day.
Only Mario Maker 2 and Death Stranding have chances of topping it as my GOTY.

Genichiro is the tutorial boss. Learn how to deflect and mikiri.

Always felt his counter-attack (attacking after dodging) was too slow so I never used it. Really dodge feels extremely underpowered to the point I never use it unless necessary. Everytime I dodge I get hit.

you can take half his life in one go if you stealth up to him
different user than the one you're responding to, but while you shouldn't exclude yourself from using your tools, you'll definitely want to get used to the deflect mechanics as well as for some bosses and minibosses, deflecting is the best or only strategy

ashina cross is a better dodge counter and it's super fast

Don't forget Journey to The West via Return Ending. Would be baller to fight enemies and dragons from Korea or China.

This. Genichiro and Ishin are both /fa/ as fuck.

Or just run around him and attack when he finishes his combo.

You cant make bamham combat hard without using artificial diffiulty

I’m one playthrough away from the platinum, but I got distracted with MK11, and I’ve been playing Shadow of War since it was on sale. I kinda just want to get it over with so I can replay DS3 or something. DLC news would be nice though.

I just beat u and desu I never wanna play u again. You were alright while u lasted and your combat was amazingly innovative, maybe even the best melee action combat ever, but I'm done now thanks.

Not until I finally beat old man Isshin.

playing it right now

Shogun 2 Total War.

This but for almost every single boss.

Who?

Picrelated ending with the great Lady Butterfly fight is the best level I have ever played in a videogame

Attached: 2019-06-03_10-39-33_AM-myxu1eq1.jpg (3840x2160, 708K)

Methinks there might be one where you play as Genichiro

If you dislike Sekiro you hate video games

Why is if people cant just enjoy a game and move on, why does OP expect every game to have to be next big thing to be good? It was just fun game for the time I played it and that's fine.

nah
played through it at least 5 times, it's a good game
i hope they stick to this combat system, it's miles ahead of the souls games (exploration and character progression were awful though)

i don't think about you at all
>no, i ravaged you through and through 100% in like the first week of our relationship, got what i needed and decided you had nothing left to give, and abandoned you

Level design was amazing, shame about exploration making not a lot of sense.

Its an action game not RPG character progression is not the focus.

How the hell am I supposed to fight ghosts? I got some anti-fear consummables as well as the prosthetic anti-ghost blade, but I dunno I don't have that many stuff and the few ghosts I tried to fight were cancerous af with big glowing balls everywhere
I'm not talking about a specific big boss yet, but there are 2 ghost "mini-boss" I've encountered so far

still waiting for a sale so I can ignore it but on sale

Wait till you're a bit more advanced, then they become a walk in the park. Divine confetti and just R1 the shit outta them.

>ONE

Attached: ONEowl.jpg (1280x720, 138K)

Yup

Tried to play it 3 times and forced myself to actually enjoy it but nope, is boring as fuck.

>Everything dies in 1 hit.
>Cannot take more than 1 enemy at the same time
>Boss fights are probably the worst experience in any soul-based game.
>Any encounter with a boss is hopeless the first ten tries.

Boss fights are so fucking bad in this game, I mean if you don't glitch them or watch a guide is literally impossible in a reasonable time.

also

>No stats
>No builds
>No different ways to fight bosses besides glitch them
>Same weapon all the game
>Same clothes

I loved and finished every single souls game including BB and Nioh but this shit is fucking awful. The map and world is kino but everything else specially the boss fights are just trash and no FUN.

>Everything dies in 1 hit.
What?

Nope, can't wait for your DLC.

In which E3 conference could they show something? XBox conference?

Stay aggressive (as you should with every boss) and when he does his reversal combo into firecrackers, dash forward and slightly to the right instead of away, you can slip through and get two hits in while he’s still posing.
When he’s charging his big telegraphed overhead, don’t run, he can option select into a chasing move that you don’t get anything off of. Stand there and wait until he yells, then side dodge and attack. One of the more reliable and readable openings.
In second phase, whenever you drink he will try and do his fire blast stand attack. Just jump, it’s vertical hitbox is deceptively smaller than it seems, and he will always follow up with a long range shadowrush, which you can mikiri for big posture damage. Just spam dodge as soon as you hit the ground after jumping.

Attack attack attack deflect
Attack attack attack deflect
Attack attack deflect
Deflect deflect, defledefledefledefle, (jump, headstomp) [second healthbar: mikiri counter, attack]
As for lightening phase just jump, wait until you get hit by it, then attack, dot try and do it at the same time, and instant mikiri after drinking
He’s the most solvable boss in the game now that they nerfed corrupted monk cheese

I’d say Butterfly is more solvable
You can reliably train her to never jump on her wires and just repeat the block into counter sequence endlessly until she posture breaks with 90% health

Man, Owl 2 might be the hardest boss, he gave me more trouble than saint sword isshin but I finally did it. Right now I can't remember if there are other games that give me the same feeling of accomplishment and success as completely dominating a boss with almost no damage.

Such a mechanically perfect fight, he felt impossible the first 5 to 10 tries but then it "clicked", my god. Also my fucking face when he mikiri'd my thrust

Beat the guardian ape and lost the will to keep playing

I am stuck at NG+2 Owl and I don't wanna continue for the plat trophy

Games set in Japan made by Western pigs will always be shit. Prove me wrong.

I did. The point of FromSoft games is that you can spend months afterwards just coming up with lore theories, or trying to find little motifs in-game. You can't do that with Sekiro.

>Did you forget me Yea Forums?
Once I'm done with AT Nerg, there will be NOTHING to do in MHW. I'm going to play Sekiro after that.

Finally a fast paced game with fluid combat and not clunky ass unresponsive shit such as MH.

got all the way to sword saint isshin 2nd phase and just couldnt beat it, got bored of dying and havent gone back

Patch some prosthetic tool costs, then we can talk. It's stupid that the flaming spear costs twice as much as the normal one. Also, buff spiral cloud passage.

Nigga, I beat you two times already. I'm done with you, but I had one hell of a time.
The second Owl fight in the memory was quite possibly the most frustrating but satisfying fight I've ever had in a video game (only to be surpassed by the spear chucking Isshin). Worth the amount I paid.

worth the amount I paid too ($0)

Protip: he hasn’t actually gotten very far in the game and he’s just a seething Barbie dress up tranny

BASED PIRATECHAD

What are the best farming spots in the game?

Yes
no replay value.

I just finished it and surprisingly I loved it. At first it was just kinda meh, but something clicked for me and I ended up having a lot of fun with it. I was worried about it not having replay value too, but as soon as I beat it I wanted to go back and play it again. I'm a little disappointed in the difficulty though, I was able to beat Owl Father and Sword Saint Isshin in two tries each for some reason. They seemed like cool bosses, but I feel like I missed out on the reward that comes from taking a while to beat a boss

lmao

game gave me tinnitus

Just finished Genchiro. Lightning reversal was absolutely broken as fuck. It was wayyy more efficient to take the hit and dish it back then to avoid it.

Still, this game is a bitch to play.

>Lightning reversal was absolutely broken as fuck.
it's lame in every single fight that has it and never feels like it isn't cheesy.

Lightning Reversal is a missable ability, isn't it? You have to kill an optional miniboss for it.

Whats the best prosthetic and why is it the flame axe?

you don't need anything, it's just something you can do, unless I'm remembering wrong.
there's a little scroll hanging on a wall that tells you how to perform it in the upper area of ashina castle, but that's it.

You do? I don't know. I've been fighting everything I could see. Did some exploring before I finally went to the roof by accident.

Although now that you mention it, I think I got it from fighting the mini boss right under Genchiro. I didn't pay much attention at the time because it seemed like it was out of fucking nowhere and how the fuck would I even know how to use it.
