man, i would love that for steam. for some reason, mine downloads for steam are capped at 1.7MB/s, it's so fucking slow. i did a speed check and i should be getting 15MB/s. i've found that quite a few other people had this problem and there was no real clear answer on how to fix it

for all the non-burgers who have fast internet, wondering why america has slow internet despite being first world, the answer is pretty simple actually: big ass country, lots of spread out suburban areas, and also the big phone goliaths still basically run everything when it comes to communication in the US. This isn't a meme. Big phone corps don't give a shit about your internet speed in a lot of places because simply put, they're the only ones who can provide you with a connection. They can charge you a hundred dollars for 20mbps speed and you basically have no other options unless you want to move. There isn't much competition either, so they don't have to adjust their rates to give you a better deal over the competitors; although they will still try to make it seem like they are.

some germans might correct me but what i've heard some people did try to sue but they got rejected because it's "up to" 100 mbit/s and the provided speed should be enough for you
