man i can never be fucked to slog through 3. it's terrible throughout

The atmosphere and soundtrack of ME1 was so damn good. Wish I could go back, but I played 3.

way to retroactively ruin everything in this conversation

if they didn't tie main mission stuff to your teammates happiness i wouldn't have had anyone
such bullshit and such lazy writing
i remember in KotoR i straight up left the wookie on kashykk and pissed mission off enough for her to leave because i was dark side and the only people i got along with were droids and thats all i needed
but come mass effect it's like Fisher Price RPG time and the best you can do is be a silly billy that hits people or kills them outright
great writing
psyche these games fucking suck and OP is a massive faggot

have sex

>Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh, you touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
ME1 was awesome.
I like both sequels, but I really wish they had kept with the style of the first. It had a really cool atmosphere, and it was kind of eerie at times. Sequels are much more standard action stuff + aliens, and even the soundtrack loses a lot of its charme.

just look at this. Closest thing in the sequels was Tuchanka, but they don't ever let you take your time in ME3

>but they don't ever let you take your time in ME3
Even en-route to Ilos the whole team was relaxed.

Entire thing doesn't make sense. Killing a single sovereign-class reaper would make the entire thing pointless because they just make one big reaper per cycle. I guess they killed all the earlier races without losing a single ship.
Also:
>We aren't /robots/ we're just /machines/ built with organic AND synthetic material. It's different I swear!
As if making a robot out of wood somehow makes it not a robot.
I bet the writers didn't even think about the reapers' motivations when they wrote the first game, seems like they just improvised with the sequels.

>I bet the writers didn't even think about the reapers' motivations when they wrote the first game, seems like they just improvised with the sequels.
They did but it got leaked and something about peoples reaction to it made them rewrite the whole thing.

This cycle was unique as the protheans disabled the mass relay in the citadel. In other cycles they just snuffed everyone without them being able to bring their armada to bear to take the reaper down.

And yeah its pretty obvious they didnt have it all planned out. Like they had the dying sun plot hook. In the end they were kinda stuck. You either explain it and sovereign lied about it being too big to understand. Or you never explain it and people feel cheated for not figuring it all out

>In other cycles they just snuffed everyone without them being able to bring their armada to bear to take the reaper down
Centuries of war and the Protheans - or any of the previous cycles - didn't manage to kill a single one? Seems implausible.
But yeah, they really just seem to have written themselves in a corner. They should at least have had a basic outline, it was always intended to be a trilogy. The games' focus shifts wildly with the second game for no real reason.
That was the dark energy thing, right? I think even the lead writer of the first two games said it wasn't super fleshed out and just one of the things they considered

Imagine making a trilogy for the sake of making a trilogy and not planning for it.

the original trilogy of Starwars wasnt planned and it worked out fine.

If you have a good groundwork you can just work it out as you go along. The problem was that with EA they suddenly upsized massively, had to make a bigger game, and make it more easily digestable for a larger audience. You can make a decent story on the fly, but not if you are forced to crunch it out in a year with a bunch of new people

you called?

The first time they were making a scifi game, the second time they were making a "hit".

A bioengineered thot or a racist slut. Dunno lol
