Massively revamped combat. Now plot progression built around taking down a criminal empire. Overhauled stealth. A focus on trying to recreate the atmosphere of the time and place, LA Noire-style.

Mafia 3 is just as good as Mafia 2. They both have serviceable gunplay and driving, but tedious, samey, repetitive gameplay. They're both just as good as each other. Because they're both crap. Daniel Vavra shat on this series long before anyone decided to put a black guy in it.

The first town district you play in, there 's a brothel where evil white gangsters specifically prostitute "our young sisters", that you later turn into a black community theater. The ongoing media plot in the background is about two blacks getting shot for entering a white man's property and then you kill the judge presiding over that white man's trial. The whole first DLC is just a black panthers fantasy, but with car chases. Even when the game has you fight an evil death cult, it's an all-white death cult that specifically targets blacks.

I played for a week or so before stopping due to too much grind. Started and finished a different game, came back to it, got pretty into the story and played just for that. Mixed with liquor it was a good combination. Luring enemies with the whistle was a little too easy but fun while drunk

Core gameplay felt good and I've enjoyed the plot and the characters, even though it got a bit too wacky in places. Before you go full retard, I've finished Mafia 1 at least five times as a kid before 2 even came out.

3's biggest problems were that it was repetitive as fuck and had serious optimization problems/bugs.
