I WANT VILLAGER PERSONALITIES TO BE EXPANDED
The 10 types we have now are pretty different from one another, but all villagers from one type say the same things, like the same things, wake up and go to bed at the same times, and are basically just carbon copies in different skins with different catchphrases.
I'd like a component system, where each villager's personality is made up of several parts. For example:
>Base personality
Which would be those ten types, maybe two more, to serve as a base.
>Age group
Variations being young adult, adult, and elderly. For example, elders might wake up earlier and go to bed sooner, and young adults might be more likely to visit whatever revenue K.K.'s up to in the new game
>Species
What it says on the tin. Things like wolves and hamsters being nocturnal, cats eating fish, dogs and cats being more likely to get into fights, etc.
And then lastly, one or two or three interests, things they're more likely to talk about.
Maybe one jock could be really into fishing, while another would be into, say, boxing. It wouldn't really change their behavior much (except for interests like fishing, bug-catching, that you can actually do), but provide more flavor text.
Lastly, some variations in the body model between villagers on one type would be nice. Just so that every mouse isn't the EXACT same height.

Maybe some form of sandbox aspect to the game. Not survival because that would be awful but a larger sense of a sandbox for making your house and town. Maybe farming and house exterior creation on a larger level. Maybe cooking and more locations. Most definately doing something with gyroids. Ever since they stopped being mailboxes, I loved collecting gyroids. A different use for them maybe something with multiplayer would be nice.

Back when I was a kid, I bought the game on GC. It was fun for a bit, then I got sick of farming and just used cheat codes to get max money and upgrade all my shit fully, and play all the NES games.

I'm far more interested in the next Rune Factory, which is the same shit except there's combat and you can marry bitches. Animal Crossing has always felt like a shitty kid's version of decent life sims to me.

I've played the fucking shit out of Animal Crossing. I've been holding out on buying a Switch entirely until AC releases just for the possibility that they might release an AC themed console and that because no other game it has to offer at the moment seemed worth my money.

AC is about having a chill time and not feeling like goddamn work, which is why farming is a fucking terrible idea. You fucking know it would work like it does in Pocket Camp, these developers love reusing old ideas for new installments. It was not fun, it would not be fun in a mainline game either.

It's not fucking optional if it's a huge new feature. Farming is not a feature in the game right now, so if it was added it would be shilled to hell and back as a huge part of what makes this new installment worth playing.

There is no way farming could be added in a way that it wouldn't end up being fucking mandatory. Adding farming features would take up a large part of the development that I think should definitely be put into things that are actually fucking fun and doesn't feel like work.
