they designed the canvas bags to be used 10 years from now

they deserve it for buying Bethesda's garbage

They probably think that people have already forgotten all about it.
They might even be right.

Can they be sued for false advertising?

pretty sure they were sued for this and the rum

People who buy these stupid $200 collectors editions deserve it. It’s not like you’re going to get world class products that are shipped along side your game.

it’s not false advertisement if they write “may differ from final product” in fine print

Imagine preordering a Bethesda game lol.

I'm pretty sure if you advertise a specific material and give a different material, it's grounds for suing as it's blatant false advertising.

>be american
>watch TV commercial about the newest, deadliest gun coming out soon to your local gunshop
>get excited
>go to local gunshop to preorder the newest, deadliest gun
>too pumped up to read "may differ from final product" in the fine print while preordering it since reading's for fags lol
>finally get your gun a while later
>it's a crappy BB gun knockoff who only sorta looks like what was advertised
>tough luck, should've read the fine print buddy lol
I am aware preordering guns is most likely not a thing, I'm just exaggerating.

They didn't write that anywhere in the advertising

>there were people who UNIRONICALLY preordered Fallout 76

That class action law suit is still ongoing, these things takes and you might not hear about it for years
I'm pretty sure Bethesda will rather spend huge chunks of money on lawyers to tire them up with litigations instead of just admitting defeat

I don't feel sorry for anyone who pre-ordered this shit game, let alone people who bought deluxe editions.

You know everyone makes mistakes. I can understand that somebody preordered Fallout 4. But after that disappointment nobody should have had any faith in Fallout 76.

How can a single game get so much stuff wrong at once?

Bethesda, that's how

Im glad you had fun writing this post

Kino video

This is why very often people decide to just not pursue justice. Taking a company to court is just too much hassle and not worth it for anything under $€5000.

Yep. Most people will just be too lazy to apply for the suit and still cry about it, though. I ended up getting a check from Nvidia over the GTX 970 thing a few years after the fact. Getting in on a class action lawsuit is piss easy with the internet today and I suggest everyone do it for this bag shit as soon as they get an email about it.

who the fuck cares about customers? they’re cows to be milked and they’ll still come back crying for more
giving canvas to influencers was a better investment, they’ll con dumb fucks to buy the next bethesda turd anyway

>preorder gun
What preorder bonuses do you think they'd offer? If we're treating guns like AAA games.

limited edition ammo type and attachments

People who wanted the bag also got effectively doxxed by Bethesda buggy webpage so it is a serious case against them, i really doubt they can get away with this, but they will try their hardest to slow things down through litigations

>How can a single game get so much stuff wrong at once?
Because they only care about money.

A "Please Shoot Me" sticker.

>"Influencers"

I fucking hate what the internet is becoming, 10 years from now it'll be like the end of TV before the internet, basic, family friendly, dreary garbage fucking *everywhere* and fake edgy shit for the teenagers.

>"it's fictional so I can be a retard!"

Things should still make sense in universe, you fucking hack loser.

90% of the people that bought Fallout 76 will still preorder Skyrim 2 and Starfield.

It's true.
Whales are the fucking cancer of the industry, you can't ignore them either because their shitty habits alone sustain bad practice.

The word "canvas" is open to interpretation since there is no such material. Todd should come straight out and tell all of these moaning sad sacks to fuck off and enjoy their nylon canvas bags.

how much did you get

To be fair canvas is ridiculously rare. Its not like it just grows in a field.

>The word "canvas" is open to interpretation since there is no such material.
>Canvas is not a real material
Fuck off todd

Who the fuck is stupid enough to buy collector's editions anyways?

*raises paw*

$20 if I remember correctly. If you had to jump through hoops, it wouldn't be worth it. But all I had to do was fill out an online form in a minute and I got a check a year or so later. More of a principle thing for me. I actually bought it after it was a known problem, but still within the required period. But I purchased the GPU because it was cheaper after a rebate, and my rebate was denied for absolutely no reason at all, so that's how I justified it.

Such a great video, InternetHistorian makes really watchable content.

Can't have people pick up cotton, that's racist
