Is fable 2 only on the 360?
>Is fable good
Not really but it's the only life sim/action RPG on the market which is a god-tier concept
>which one is the best one to play
1 has the best gameplay and RPG mechanics, but still they're pretty meh. 2 has the best world and main campaign. 3 is like 2 but not as good but the being king gimmick at the end of the game is kinda cool. People usually like 2 or 1 the most depending on their preferences, nobody really thinks 3 is the best.
yes
It’s shit. I played it back in 2013 and it was mediocre and basic in every god damn department. Only thing it exceeded or “revolutionized” was that you could go around doing emotes for basic responses.
Play 1 and decide whether or not you want to play the others.
Haven't played 3 but I know 2 rehashes a lot of old concepts from 1 (werewolf town, gladiator arenas, troll introductions, etc)
It's pretty basic. Felt like a single player MMO with a placeholder story about a chosen hero blah blah.
But it literally was babby's first RPG for xbox kiddies, hence its relative popularity.
Why did they make Fable Anniversary look so fucking lifeless compared to the original version of the game?
If you are a big fan of British medevil folk lore you'll probably love it, thats what I like the most about it.

Pretty much this
fable the lost chapters is the best in the series
this. isnt it like 5 bucks on steam? worth it
The first one was pretty good when it came out, the biggest flaws at the time (memes aside) was that they did do a lot but it was all really quite shallow. I still found the gameplay and stupid story fun enough for what they are but be aware that they are literally designed to be impossible to die in so there's never ever any sense of danger or challenge.
Many people played the first one when they were young teens or even kiddos and remember it fondly
It's one of those games you love until you decide to re-visit it 8 or 9 years after you first played it
yes
fable the lost chapters
1's the best one and it was pretty good but it's definitely aged a bit. I have a lot memories with Fable so I like it but it's kinda hard to reccomend.
Pretty much what this guy said
Tip:To enjoy better fable do not put more than 4 points in physical attributes also don't take mana shield it's broken
Recomended also not to use best sword (Solus) and bow (Skorm)
CHICKEN CHASER
arsehead
Not an argument.
Very mediocre series, but fun in their own right. Light hearted, very nice aesthetic, co-op but its tethered, the combat/controls worked well enough but needed more depth. 2 has one of the worst endings in all of vidya.
The rumors for this new Fable seem okay, but its going to really take a new look at the combat and world design to make me care. Co-op is a decent start but I guarantee its tethered.
I will be forever angry that 2 isn't on PC
Why is that?
Why do you think, you dumb fucking retard, how stupid can you be.
I meant, why hasn't Fable 2 been ported to PC?
This
On PC at least, the best one is Fable: The Lost Chapters. Just buy the original and ignore the Anniversary edition. Fable 2 is sadly not on PC and Fable 3 is mediocre compared to 2 and 1
Agreed desu, it's simply outrageous that they never ported it, and yet we got a port of Fable 3.
At the time, Fable 2 was one of those "Only on Xbox!" exclusives, and they never ported it afterwards.
fuck off 2 is shit and its like 3 hours long
HD remaster is awful, only play it if you NEED to use a controller.
YOU ARE NOW EVIL ENOUGH TO USE THE VULLLGAAAR THRRRUST
>Only thing it exceeded or “revolutionized” was that you could go around doing emotes for basic responses
that is the most basic feature you could've picked out, faggot
>ignoring physique, guile and magic skills progressively affecting your appearance along with dynamic food and karma systems based on almost everything you interact with from food to haircuts and clothes you wear
few rpgs even have strength, dex and int that does anything besides inflate damage numbers
god you're such a faggot with a retarded opinion I hope you never post again
I just like the classically whimsical but dark fairytale setting
They're all pretty shit
I played it for the difficulty setting, it was still too easy.
>Played Fable
>Played Fable 3
>Heard it was basically Fable 2
>Wait 8 years
>Play Fable 2
>It's fun
You fuckers lied to me
Whoever told you 3 is on the same level of quality as 2 is an idiot.
Play The Lost Chapters and/or Anniversary depending on if you can handle dated graphics or not. Play 2 if you have and 360 or an Xbone. Only play 3 if you really liked 2 and want a shittier, shorter version of it.
It was more that 2 was the same as 3, both shit.
I went in expecting an underwhelming mess of a game and ended up enjoying it.
lol
1 >>>>>>>> 3 > 2
Same.
I replayed TLC recently and got a raging nostalgia hard-on for Fable 2 (which was the one I played first and the most) only to find out I can't play it.
Would Fable 3 satisfy me in the slightest?
Did anything but physique even affect your appearance?
1 is very solid. My only real complaint is that it's too short.
2 is huge in comparison and improves on a lot but takes a big step backward in simplifying the combat and removing ALL difficulty from the first game. The remaster is alright, I prefer the original graphics.
Skill made you taller and will gave you those glowing blue marks all over your body.
The only real thing Fable 3 had over Fable 2 is the Co-Op online not having to share the split screen anymore and actually being your character.
The best sword is a masterwork greatsword with two sharpening and a piercing. Try playing till completing the arena with no exp spent at all.
more like
1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> shit > 2 > 3
>removing ALL difficulty from the first game
The first game had no difficulty. Resurrection phials shouldn't have been added and enemies don't do any damage at all.
When the devs "asked" the community what they wanted, the community said "maybe not so many lists".
The devs knee-jerked and removed all lists, and coincidentally, most of the smaller items, flavor text, weapon types, books, quests and pretty much everything else that made fable 2s glasses rose tinted.
Fable 3 has piss colored and scented glasses.
Fable 1
>really fucking great atmopsphere
>like really fucking great
>strange but rewarding combat, lots of weight no matter which type of character you decide to play
>story is pretty decent for it's age
>music is comfy as fuck
>towns are comfy as fuck
>kind of dated
>pretty linear
Fable 2
>more polished than the first game
>combat is better and worse, lot more options and better flow but it's piss easy, even moreso than the first game
>story tries way too hard
>tries to capture essences of the original game and succeeds and fails in different areas, overall pretty cool
>more side content/lite RPG shit than Fable
>lots of dressup if that's your deal
>still pretty linear
Fable 3
>even more dumbed down than the last game
>seriously the combat is some of the easiest I've ever seen
>terrible inventory system
>really bad writing/atmosphere, feels very janky and unfinished
>game post-cliffhanger
>really fucking interesting
>combat gets slightly harder but not hard at all
>immersion sets in
>atmosphere sets in
>story actually becomes interesting
>by the time you start to enjoy it the game is over
I didn't play any of the DLC for 2/3 but from what I've seen it's bad
>>H I T S
HITS
Blue marks showed first in Fable 2 and I don't recall ever getting tall from skill in 1 either.
>360
It's BC on the Bone as well.
I didn't imply it was difficult but on a first time playthrough you might actually die a few times with no planning. Fable 2 decides to just not make that a factor, which is unique I'll give them that.
You need to replay Fable.
Those Fable 2 item descriptions kept me up all night reading them
You're more of a crack-pot than a crack-shot.
S H I T
..............................................shit
1 is the best one, but I'd still say it's "just" good game.
I liked 2 story, but combat was dogshit.
Fable 2 is the one you should go for
Keep your generic medieval shit, the enlightenment is where it's at
>that resigned, disappointed "...shit"
>Loads of Balverines immediately attack you
Still gets a hearty laugh out of me, even now.
>muh setting xDDD
gameplay is king you faggot
1 >>> trash > 2 > 3
If you think gameplay is all that matters go play fucking tetris faggot, setting absolutely matters to anyone with a brain
Music box reapearing at end of Fable 2 and "perfect world" were kino, but everything was ruined by shitty choices at very end.
>muh iq is superior for thinking setting matters even the slightest when gameplay(combat) is fucking trash
Play 1 and 2. Forget 3 exists. Seriously.
So do you guys think we're getting a Fable 4 announcement at E3 this year?
I would rather them do a complete reboot of the series. Looking at Halo, having 343 continue what Bungie did wasn't a great idea.
I don't want Fable to end up doing the same.
I think we'll see something, especially if they announce a new Xbox.
i literally couldn't believe fable 3 was so short. by the time it ended i figured i was about 1/3 through and i started looking online to see what the hell was up and how to keep playing the game.
youtube.com
Dat Oakfield
>not mentioning the spells that let you fucking stop time or 1 hit literally every boss/enemy in the game with a billion arrows
>Solus as the best sword
Actually laughing at you. You can play the game without spending xp and it's still easy though.
fpwp
Fable 1 is still the best
I did, not even a month ago. I had mana and a handful of spells maxed out, no blue lines.
ive played and loved the first one but magic is op and it ruins the experience.
>I did, not even a month ago. I had mana and a handful of spells maxed out, no blue lines.
Has to do with your alignment iirc, in fact I'm like 99% sure. Good boy got angelic blue glow and bad boy got red stink and devil horns.
Magic was OP, too bad the OP magic were all support skills and actual offensive magic was piss weak compared to everything else.
Lightning was ridiculously good for getting combat multiplier at least.
I replayed it a couple years ago and it's still great. Much shorter than I remembered though.
