Bad
Verse IS a good wife!
They play alright. The storytelling went to shit
OS2 is better.
tyranny more like trannys made this game
I think I remember Yea Forums hating it for some “much sjw” reason.
Was it actually bad or was it simply Yea Forums autism again?
How is POE2?
It's unironically bad, funny enough I'm not sure what reason there would be to shit on it for SJW reasons as the only thing I can think of is women do shit on land while men were typically seafarers.
Not terribly great either, mainly because the story gets in the way of the little gameplay there is while being fairly dull.
How is the story then?
Ok what about Pathfinder Adventures?
I’ve played all the others
It’s a mobile card game forget I asked
Pathfinder Kingmaker IS good! You SHOULD romance Valerie!
Is the enhanced edition out yet?
Tyranny? Okayish, forces you into certain scenarios way too often for my liking and it's highly unlikely to get the route that allows you to go to all the areas in the game as it requires you certain events before you can even control your PC.
PoE2 is downright awful though, with maybe two exceptions every NPCs are unlikeable at best, EVERY faction is horrible, and you're chasing something the entire game with no real reason given to why it's doing what it's doing until near the end of the game. DLC is supposed to be pretty good, but I quit after a point of no return and didn't feel like going back a few hours to see it after it came out.
There's a card game and a proper CRPG, the CRPG is pretty decent but still has numerous bugs, the biggest one is that loading times become horrible the longer you play the game. If you do play it, I'd highly recommend the fast travel mod, as you have to go through the town you build every time you need to do shit with your kingdom.
It IS out TOMORROW user! Romance Enhanced Edition Valerie!
I have Tyranny and Original sin 2.
In Tyranny I've gotten as far as raiding that first town.
In Original Sin 2 I've only just gotten off the starting prison-boat.
Which should I finish first?
Original sin 2 is very fun combat and world but it just kinda bored me.
Tyranny kept me intrigued but it is very boring as well
user you can shit on the sjw shit and story all you want but "Poe2 didn't have enough gameplay?
Why are you actually lying Lol
They're all shit, also D:OS1 and 2 aren't proper crpgs either so I don't get why people are talking about them.
Gonna try Pathfinder soon since the EE comes out today
Tyranny is real enjoyable
It gets a bad rap here because "dude Tranny lmao" but despite its actual flaws I've spent a good amount of time playing it
os2 first act is the best 1
the 2nd is alright but goes on for a little too long
and the third is p good
Tyranny is alright but the other user is right it does get boring after a while
>if they don't just follow D&D rulesets they're not REAL crpgs
literally kill yourself
It didn't though, look at Kingmaker for a game that has an adequate amount of combat. Fuck, the first two major story areas have a grand total of ten total encounters, and that's being generous.
OS2 is leaps and bounder better than any current obsidian game. Story isn't really anything to write home about but gameplay-wise it beats the living fuck out of Tyranny.
There IS too much combat IN Kingmaker! I do NOT want combat!
>different amount of party members
>different ruleset
>different combat
>no classes
I'm not saying that they're bad games, only that they're not crpgs.
maybe your just blood thirsty user, but theirs more than enough combat in poe2 and 1 of its 3 dlcs is literally nothing but encounters
Haven't gotten around to kingsmaker yet. Kind of broke. might pirate it for now and buy it later or something
all of the praising reviews is getting to be too much for me to not check it out
so fallout 1 and 2 aren't crpgs. gotcha.
I liked it a lot at first, and I definitely don't hate it, but I did take a break after so much filler combat and dungeon crawls that didn't feel like they were advancing the plot forward at all.
Combat in particular is just not very interesting and I often just let it go on auto rather than trying to micro since the end result didn't seem to change much.
Oh, I"m retarded and didn't see that you were asking about the non-Tyranny games as well.
I only have Pillars of Eternity, and I've barely played it. The world seems interesting in both of them, but Pillars does this thing where enemies are limited in how much xp they give to you, and that kind of heavy handed grasp on player power means that the game is going to end up pretty dang linear since you're only so strong enough to fight certain enemies at any given time, and I just don't go in for that.
Oh, and the story of Pillars felt like another "oh magic chosen one" nonsense, and I'm getting really tired of these. Tyranny had that too, but there were always larger players than you could interact with, so it at least felt like the story was revolving around you less than it inevitably was.
D&D is shitty system for vidya and it's shitty system for tabletops, it's a curse that it is so famous among neckbeards.
