Tekken 7 on PC or PS4?

Both are fine, PC has mods to show frame data & shit which is great for training, pro's 100% use this when they are not streaming so don't feel bad

Tekken on PC has an amazing community, most people are happy to help you improve and play long set. i've made over 40 steam friends who added me through tekken.

If you want a fight stick you will probably need to spend somewhere around $150-200. You could also try pad or your keyboard.

The stick I have and still use is the Injustice 1 fight stick. And then I bought an 8 gate and ball top for like 10 bucks

Keyboard is horrible man i tried, ps4 pad is honestly the best option if you dont have the money to drop on a good stick but with the money ive spend on new pads after braking them i could have got a top tier arcade stick. i love tekken but its the only game that gets me genuinely angry

I play on PC, but PlayStation is the platform for Tekken. Is the one with the highest amount of active players and matches are easy to find. On PC, you risk waiting over 10 mins for a match

I played on a fight stick from growing up in arcades, also imported one from japan in the ps2 days. My hands are too big on the pad, feels unnatural.

The best fightsticks then are probably the Qanba Obsidian, Hori Fighting Edge, and Razer Panthera. If you get the Hori, you may want to replace the stock Hori parts with Sanwa parts.

especially with season 2 rank inflation you have green rank level layers cheesing their way up to the higher ranks

im playing Lee who is trash and cant open his enemies up. ihave to take rissks unfrotunately. snake edge is np anymore but i dont want to learn gimicky meme chracaters like lei that i only meet once evry 30 matches.

then you spend $30-40 on jap arcade parts and swap out the stock parts. you have to do some research on what brand you want and what model stick that is easily added to your mayflash or brawlstick, but it's easy to do and you end up with a ~$80 stick that is just as good as the ones costing twice as much

the hori lever is actually great. hori buttons, however, are pretty shit compared to sanwa.

Lee isn't nearly as bad as lee players make him out to be. good counter hit tools and strong punishment and great wall carry combos.

Bryan plays by his own rules. so many counter hit moves and cheap shit like his orbital that scrubs who like pressing buttons get blown up by

Use a pad (ps4, xbone, Wii U Pro or Switch Pro) or a good keyboard (8-key rollover or better).
Sticks are for people that grew up playing fightans with them. They're objectively inferior in every other way

Josie is a hard character to deal with if its a good player so many mixups, maybe the best df2 launcher and hopkick in the game doesn't make you a shitter for playing her but you definitely have it easier than say a kazuya player or something.

Rank means nothing in season 2, i dont play ranked i have like 2000 games in quick match and almost 200 on ranked but i have kazuya at seiryu. ive played red and purple rank players who have terrible fundamentals and just cheesed their way through ranks with gimmicky characters.

i badly want to try a stick but i feel it would be like learning the game from scratch all over again in terms of execution

why not try playing lee into someone that knows defense or the match up.
you will get blown up unless you outpacee him with movement and make better decisions. he is simply horrible the higher the ladder you go.

it doesnt safe you from having to improve if you want to win vs better players. sure you keep your rank. and get blown up again and again for it. great "cheat"

I never have to wait for matches in PS4 and I play in the early mornings during the middle of the week. I don't think it really matters which platform you get it on.

I don't know about another round of DLC but I think there'll still be at least a team working on keeping the game alive with balance changes and occasional cosmetics updates. It's not like TxSF is going to sell as well so they need to keep T7 running until T8/TT3
