>Walks forward while holding left mouse and does stupidly high DPS + high afterburn damage for no skill requirement When Valve "balanced" this shit they didn't take into account the afterburn damage aspect, now he just does stupid high DPS up close and leaves low-health classes with little recourse than to just simply run away for a health kit after being hit by a single flame particle, because if they stick around for the third, fourth and fifth (which happens in less than a second) they're fucked. Honestly if they want this class to be a high-DPS insta-melter up close combat type they should remove the salacious afterburn mechanic. Turn it into an acid-sprayer or some dumb fucking shit, because dumb fucking shit is at least better than this hot mess of a retardation.
Consider the requirements to play scout, soldier, or demoman: you have to do a lot of shit to pull off good results. For pyro you don't have to do anything. It's so stupid
Why play pyro? It's a shitty class and others do what it does a lot better with just a bit more effort, and what's more nothing about the pyro will translate to other FPS games. Why? >Inb4 "for the salt lol" cancer.
whats even the point of the detonator when the scorch shot exists >shoot floor >everyone in a 30 mile radius gets lit on fire for 20 seconds >spam forever
>the requirements to play scout, soldier, or demoman: you have to do a lot of shit to pull off good results >soldier >demoman you just suck
Jose Watson
detonator jumps and being able to hit players behind cover
Daniel Myers
>make flamethrowers overheat pyro is fixed
Brayden Powell
>nerf pyro to be even worse >fix
Ian Parker
>Valve kneels to scrubs and nerfs degreasetinguisher combos >JI ramps up Pyrocar cancer 500% for a good month or so Hahaha. Eat shit Soiders.
Ayden Ortiz
Just walk the opposite direction of the incoming flame fag lmao how do you even die to pyro? >not playing battle medic to heal yourself and capture the flag
Julian Cruz
nigga just walk away from him
Matthew Wood
they both end in turtles, there is no back and forth map control to make things exciting
Jaxson Brooks
12 years later and you still crying about pyro nigga
Camden Campbell
Pyro used to be fine. But the Jungle Inferno update fucked it to a point beyond bearable.
Jace Turner
>combo pyro is never coming back it's not fucking fair
Payload is shit because it's respawn, do some shit, die, repeat. There's no variation. Doesn't help that 99% of the maps for it are literal corridors.
Same with CTF. Same with Attack & Defend, look at Dustbowl, one of the worst maps in the entire game. It's literally just an outdoors room with some hallways. It's so shit. It either is over super quick or drags on super long.
Don't even get me started on 2fort. Why does this game's community adore shit maps?
Parker Gonzalez
That used to be a viable strat now he just melts you so quick: >Whoops you got caught for a microsecond on some geometry, sorry you died to a pyro
Tyler Campbell
okay so what are some good community servers that just play map rotations?
Adam Flores
Hitting pipes requires aim, practice and good dodging skills. Same with sticky bombs beyond the obvious trap bullshit that only noobs use almost exclusively.
Soldier is one of the highest skill cap classes in the entire game. The cap on that class is almost infinite; rocket jumping, rollouts, hitting direct hits in mid-air, zoning, learning to use shotgun properly, etc.
Pyro: lol just hide behind a corridor door and walk forward while holding m1
Cooper Moore
>rocket jumping, rollouts, hitting direct hits in mid-air, zoning, learning to use shotgun properly, etc. it sounds like you were running out of things to make Soldier sound difficult, because only rocket jumping and rollouts are of considerable difficulty for Soldier-specific skills
Lucas Bailey
Soldier is simple at first but honestly it has a skill cap beyond that of scout, demo and anything else.
Connor Hughes
>Soldier is one of the highest skill cap classes in the entire game. The cap on that class is almost infinite; rocket jumping, rollouts, hitting direct hits in mid-air, zoning, learning to use shotgun properly, etc. >you have to be godly to do well as a soldier
Ethan Harris
That doesn't mean anything. You're saying a "lol W+M1" pyro can do just as well as a high-level comp soldier
Samuel Baker
>rocket jumping the only Soldier-specific skill in that list, and most of the skills are only applicable on jump maps because standard maps are too small >rollouts each competitive class has to learn rollouts >hitting direct hits in mid-air demoman has to do this too but his projectiles arc >zoning demoman too if you're only counting splash, every other class if you're not >learning to use shotgun properly pic related
how about stop engaging pyro in close range when you can see him
Adam Diaz
>MY CLASS HAS THE HIGHEST SKILL CEILING >NO MINE DOES SEE LOOK PROJECTILES HAVE TRAVEL TIME >NOOOOO LOOK AT THE HITBOXES BWAHAHAHAHA shut the fuck up nobody cares how high your class' skill ceiling is
>recently start playing TF2 again >go to Yea Forums threads >it's all just class wars why
Liam Miller
>weakest class It is a scoot colliding with a demo-pill actually.
Nicholas Rogers
why are people mad about pyro holding m1 but not soldier shooting feet both are equally braindead
Brayden Kelly
nah pyro at least can reflect rockets and stall ubers spy is literally useless against enemy with iq above 80
Joseph Brooks
because they main soldier
Adrian Hall
Pyro used to have the puff n sting, and retards like you complained, and then they butchered it, so now he's a strict W+M1er. You made your bed, now lie in it.
