Hmm, good question. Based off only Bloodlines, (since I haven't touched the source materials or other lore books in the franchise or the ttg), I would say that it depends on which one specifically. Nines probably doesn't exactly care about the Kine, and more so about Kindred. He could probably be sympathetic, I mean, even Jack is to an extent, but not to VV's extent.

As for Damsel, she was sympathetic, but she cared more about the Plaguebearers spreading the plague around and bringing the CDC to LA, which could possible destroy the Masquerade.

Obvious something aside, I don't think unofficial patches should be adding content to the game, just restoring it.

Hmm, I think it's a blurry line between adding content and restoring content. Some stuff has to be "added" in because it's not really there completed in the files, like with the library quest. On the other hand, you can just restore stuff that's been removed.

There was one user that mentioned having three versions: one version for bug fixes only, one for bug fixes and restorations, and the final one for the extra content included. I like that idea as it gives people more choices on what they want.

Depending on how the old characters are written in Bloodlines 2, they could be written horribly and ruined, or could see improvement. It might be safer to just leave them in LA where they should be. For example, I think Gary shouldn't be in Seattle. It makes far more sense for him to stay in Hollywood. Same goes for Issac.

They're set up and have their lives going the way the like it. Now, they could always introduce some big event or something that pushed a character or characters to Seattle, and it could make sense if written properly, but as it stands, I don't see any old characters returning save for Jack and maybe LaCroix if we get Punished LaCroix (which would be hilarious)

CQM pissed me off on my last playthrough. I sided with Hazel on my last Sabbat run, and I was gonna choose Alexandria, but you can't diablerize VV unless Hazel becomes the Bishop of East LA, and if you're roleplaying as a diablerizer and want to diablerize Issac, you have to consume both VV and Ash to fully break him. Very annoying. Also, I have no idea when you're allowed to embrace Yuki or Heather when you go Sabbat, or before since he never includes it in the documentation.

I really hope they get Gangrel's clan weakness right and not some half assed shit like the first game. Also make it permanent for more fun

One of the things I remember reading about is that Kuei Jin consider the rise in numbers of Western Vampires in East Asia as being a sign that the end of the world is coming, much the same way that Kindred freak out over the rising number of Thin Bloods. That should give you an idea of Kuei Jin and Kindred don't mix so well.

No it was in the original release. I remember the mod author himself mentioning about it during his playthrough of the mod. You have to have very low Humanity (like 3), and you have to really buddy up with Andrei throughout the storyline in order to fully convince him at the end of the game.

Be warned however, that if you roleplay as a diablerizer and you plan to soul suck as many Kindred as possible, you're gonna need to manage that last point or two points of Humanity. I think you need to keep two dots at all times as a Just in Case situation so that if you lose a dot of Humanity, you don't go insane over it and lose the game.
My boy, I also diablerize Tourette, VV, Pisha, and even Jezebel Locke. I have a whole harem of bitches under my control.
It's possible you might've chosen a line that didn't line up like you thought it did, or you didn't have low enough Humanity.

I'm gonna be honest, playing through the game with low Humanity really showed how flawed the game's writing is. You don't actually get to join evil groups like a low Humanity player would want to. The PC even expresses how he/she wants to join the Brotherhood of the Ninth Circle if you're low enough yet all three just decide to keep talking as if the PC said he/she was gonna kill them.

Jack, Beckett and Lacroix are canonically dead afaik, don't know if they decide to go by the books tho.

Low Humanity doesn't necessarily mean you'd want to join the sabbat or something like the brotherhood, just so you know. You're more likely to find them appealing because you won't find them reprehensible on a conceptual level, but there are plenty low humanity camarilla.

First few times I tried playing low humanity I noticed that as well with the Brotherhood of the 9th Circle quests.

It was honestly pretty hilarious to me the kind of dialogue options you could choose as a Low Humanity vamp, especially with the 9th Circle quests. The sudden refusals those cultists give after you talk about wanting to join them reminds me of an IRL Storyteller backpedalling hard in an attempt to keep his game from going off the rails.

How is that a writing problem? Do you have any idea how much shit they'd have to do to incorporate you joining them into the game? In a world of endless time and money I'm sure they'd have loved to indulge every retarded fantasy you might have, but the game had to come out some time and no budget lasts forever.

On my last CQM run, my player had definite lines of dialog where he wanted to join and asked how he could do that, and all three keep talking as if he said he wanted to kill them. Also, it doesn't matter if it has a future or not, I just wanted more content.

They wouldn't have to do much, they could just give me a quest or two and be done with it. It's a writing problem because they got my hopes up then dashed them. They could've written the lines a different way instead of having the PC express interest in joining.
Yeah, she's worth it. Just keep in mind that you have to wait until after you join the Sabbat to do it. Then you can go and kill Bishop Vick, however I believe the quest gets stuck in your log forever or it gets cleared. I don't remember.

She also, coincidentally enough, is implied to be the one in control of Fu Syndicate, which you can find out if you hack one of the office computers. The secret name in the email is Head Priestess (or something Priestess), and the owner of the Red Dragon calls her that earlier.

Honestly, I think it's just some kind of power unique to the Kuei-Jin, specifically to Ming Xio maybe. Each and everyone of them have their own freaky powers and abilities, and I assume that they also have general abilities they can learn.

If we went by Kindred of the East lore, Ming Xo is essentially the East Asian version of vampire elder who has a high morality rating on a Dharma (Path of Enlightenment). Depending on what morality system she observes, its likely she sees western vampires as being little more than demons to be manipulated and/or destroyed as she sees fit.

Doesn't seem like any of the new writers want to try their hand at using Kuei jin yet.

He is killed by a Nosferatu named Okulos who was disguised as a vampire named Samuel; Jack let himself be killed to ensure that the thin-blood movement he helped start and raise would continue to fulfill Gehenna

The new writers are trying very hard to press the whole Camarilla vs. Anarch angle that they had going way back when Vampire first came out in the early 90's, and to do that they had to shove a whole bunch of other aspects to the setting aside. I kind of agree that the way they went about trying to do this is pretty forced.

It just seems very contrived to suddenly move back to that yet have the Second Inquisition rabidly chasing down every Kindred they can find.

Hmm, well, I'm not sure how the SI is handling the Kuei-Jin. I don't have any V5 source books, so all I can say is that they'll probably be hunting them down if the learn about them, but considering how the Kuei-Jin can more easily hide in plain sight, similar to thin-bloods, I doubt the SI will be as focused on Kuei-Jin like they are on Kindred. Tbh, I don't really see why people would stick with the Anarchs considering how much of a threat the SI is.
