we're in a point now where just short of being a video game character there's NOTHING that can disqualify someone from being in smash. A better question would be, "why not?"

There are 7 Mario & Luigi games, 5 Paper Mario games, and one lone game that started these two subfranchises. All are popular and expanded the Mario lore in interesting ways. The only representation for all of these games in Smash is 1 stage, 10 songs and 19 spirits. I say there should be one playable Smash fighter that originated from the Mario RPGs and Geno's really the first character that sticks out for being a unique, striking character in the RPG that started it all. Of course, Paper Mario and Fawful are both viable candidates as well. Sorry Mallow.
