Tomorrow the video game industry changes forever.

I hope GOG.com and Humble Bundle survive long enough to finish to back up my game library on Blu-ray.

>330ms lag
lol

You look at what's going on on YouTube RIGHT NOW (Vox)?. Do you really want to give them more power?

I am all in for cloud gaming, it's the future no matter how stupid you are to not understand it. But giving more power to google is a great way to have a cyberpunk dystopia soon minus the cool tech

I'm kinda upset soon consoles and PCs will become obsolete.

Still though, cloud gaming won't become mainstream for years and years.

what is it?

Taking away the files from you is fucking cancer.

google cloud is down, I guess I can't play my singleplayer game today

I'm quitting video games forever if this cancer takes off.

Been here all day and you try and try again to get replies over a piece of shit service that nobody gives a fuck. Why don't you quit this garbage posting and make good threads

Same. I don't think it will but you'll never know with normalshits.

literally what?

> it's the future no matter how stupid you are to not understand it.

It's the future because nobody has standards for quality anymore.

Theres nothing but negatives with stadia. I genuinely dont understand why anyone would actually want this

Corporations like to take away freedoms to the user.

Why would you back it up on blue ray over portable HD?

This. Stop supporting giant corporations that want to own everything.

Because I can.

People who want to play console games without spending $400 on a console.

This shit isn't the future. We need to collectively go tell them to fuck themselves like we did Microsoft back in 2013. I, for one, will NEVER sign up for streaming. Even if it means I can only play indie games on GOG from here all out. Streaming is a terminal cancer that will kill gaming if we let it take hold.

Why poeple hate stadia?

The service is going to suck at first, but in the future you will be able to just turn on a tablet or notebook, may hooking it to a tv, anywhere with decent internet connection and play games at glorious 4k 60 fps, with little need for expensive hardware.

Disney wants to own everything

Cyber punk dystopia's aren't likely to happen if everyone is in a virtual world. The elite want immortality using tech, it's always been the agenda.

Attached: images.jpg (293x172, 7K)

Probably 5g internet and when internet companies stop being Jewish. I give it until 2025 since it's projected to have 5 in most of the (((Important parts))) of the world. If you have no interest or have 5g internet, you weren't the demographic they cared about to begin with.

Corporations already have owned everything, the elite already have so much power they could careless what's happening to begin with. Disney, EA and google are merely pawns in what's in store for technology.

It's like people thousands of years ago complaining *IM NEVER GOING TO USE CARS OVER HORSES* IM NEVER GOING TO USE DIGITAL OVER PHYSICAL*.

Fuck Stadia. Internet in its current state is not good enough for this to work properly.

It's gonna crash and burn just like Google Glass. Guarantee you in about a years time Google will pretend it never happened.

>game as a service
>no modding
>no mapping
>latencies
>always online
>can't own your game

Who the fuck is interested by this dumb shit? Even as a poorfag I'd rather buy a cheap PC to play custom doom wad that this turd.

kys consoletard

You just don't give up, do you Google.

If you mongs can't tell this is an advertisement and not an actual post from an user, you should truly kill yourself before you breed.

Corporations.

Because

>Flagship game is going to be destiny 2
it's dead on arrival

> anywhere with decent internet connection
And what do you think the issue is? Oh, right, even most areas in the US that aren't Silicon Valley, which these morons think entails the whole world, internet connections and services are iffy as fuck, not to mention the rest of the entire world.
Fuck game streaming, shove it up your ass.

No one here is interested in it. Both Blizzard and Google have employees make these threads as a form of free advertising.

>game as a service
no shit nigger most popular games are free
>no modding
the only thing good for modding is porn
>no mapping
wtf is this
>latencies
5G will solve this
>always online
no shit nigger what kind of 30+ year old autist players single player games it's near impossible to not have friends in this generation.
>can't own your game
no shit nigger, game stop is about to be extinct and most people prefer digital services now.

So, you're telling me that wagies are shitposting on MY Yea Forums while I try to savor my delicious bucket of fried tendies?

I seriously hope this flops, but the average consume will probably buy into it just enough to keep it going, especially considering googles endless pockets.

All the time. Blizzard is the worst of the lot, but yeah, how many Yea Forums posters do you know who make threads like:

>Hey gamers! Are you excited about tomorrow's release?

Yeah, no. Between Blizzard and Google the shilling is really bad currently.

Hi wagie, you make sure to do extra hours so your boss doesn't get mad at you, alright?

Attached: 1549186466439.gif (362x345, 3M)

Sure.

Attached: googled.png (984x2169, 663K)

I'd rather pay 400 and own the console than pay 10 per month or whatever Stadia costs and not own a damn thing + have to watch as shit slowly adds up over time to the point buying a console would have been cheaper.

sure tranny

They would have to announce games that would actually be exciting on it. Its E3 time, and Google has pockets, might be cool to see what they fund

I can't believe Americans pay for limited bandwidth in 2019, fucking hilarious.

No way in hell it's gonna cost only $10.
$19 minimum.

What speaks in favor of streaming is that people are retarded and don't have good memory. Some redditors will finally yield, don't buy a funkopop that month and buy into Stadia. He'll rationalize it with convenience. Soon enough he'll have forgotten what quality gaming is.

They always forget, quality is not a constant, it's always under threat.

>wanting good products instead of another Jewish scheme is being a trannypony

It's not how it works wagie, you got it all wrong.

as long as the services sucks, peole will buy hardware, consoles and gaming pcs will keep ruling, its not like you will be legally prohibited to play games in another way over night, just because stadia was launched.

I am talking about natural evolution, someday peole will have services good enough for it to be viable and buying hardware will fall out of popularity, I am not saying this will happen today, or in the next year, but that must start somewhere.

Just look at video steaming services, if you talked about it 20 years ago, people would just say "b-b-but the world is not silicon valley!!".

Its also very unlikely that google will have monopoly, once games over stream start being good, more companies will jump in to the bandwagon.

It wont catch on. You underestimate the gaming community as a whole. The average "normie" equates gaming with Candy Crush and Mario Cart. And, they can get those "games" on their phones. The true target of a service like streaming gaming is the actual legit gamer who isn't going to buy into it.

At first I thought the white dude was feeling sick and dark man was comforting him.
Whats the story?

>latencies
Yep. Stadia can't overcome the laws of physics when all the information is being delivered a 100 miles away compared to a local device which is delivering information centimeters to a screen. Even now we have problems with lag and because of the laws of physics it will never be as responsive as a local device.

Attached: Google Stadia - Trigger Latency.webm (406x720, 1.81M)

Naw.

guys hear me out
imagine if you could press a button and restart an industry

Attached: ouyabelieve.jpg (620x463, 34K)

This could be the biggest laughing stock ever, man. What the fuck is Google thinking? Pouring millions of dollars into creating this thing that CANNOT work.

What the fuck even was the Ouya or it's purpose?

>the future is a model of computing we gleefully destroyed in the '80s once it was feasible for people to own their own computers so we can give more power to monolithic tech giants
Um, no sweetie.

>GAME STREAMING WILL WORK THIS TIME FOR SURE

>5G will solve this
>greater bandwidth will solve latency issues in interactive services
Are you retarded?

>see other people make plane
>it crashes
>try to make my own plane
>everyone calls me a retard and says it will never fly
>mfw my last name is wright

it entirely streamed games online.
the tech wasn't there and it still isn't. this boiled down the software potential to flash games and tv background software like nothing but raindrops.
The controllers were bad and had huge delay input anyway. it was such a failure that the ceo stepped down.

Because I don't want to exclusively play cinematic experiences where input lag is a feature.

Oh, so it's another case of this industry never learning anything, as the jingle goes.

Are those the same people who would pay up for the up/down speeds required to stream this well?

The issue that everyone in the game industry is making is assuming they matter. You see tons of big names in the industry saying that this will never work because it won't appeal to gamers. It's absolutely retarded. It's not designed to appeal to gamers, it's designed to appeal to non-gamers or normies who couldn't give a shit if there's 1 ms delay for their glorified skinner box.

You think a teen gives a shit about how many ticks or latency he gets for fortnite? He doesn't. These are the people streaming is meant to appeal to.

It will make billions and the company that pulls it off will become the next netflix

Gay

My face tomorrow probably

Best believe they’ll lose millions during literal any power outages

google stadia is going to be the same thing, except it doesn't matter if its a commercial failure since its fucking google.
they don't even have to learn. Even during the reveal, there was obvious tech problems like input delay.
they made a box and put matpat on a stage just so you can play subway surfers and clash of the clans on your tv

>1 ms input lag
>on the average household internet connection

>make a “console” for mobile games
Sounds even worse

Why doesn’t google just be a regular game dev?
Then again AAA H game would never be approved by the suits even though everyone has used google for porn

>itt: people who don't understand google's business model of having infinite money to throw at projects and hope they strike gold, withdrawing and closing the project if the prospect falls short
Google will literally always have money until people stop using the search engine (spoilers, they won't). These risks and "mistakes" are all planned. They're not accidents.

The gameplay of any turn-based game on PS2 is more dynamic and fluid than Stadia and that shit streaming from Apple.

>normies playing DOOM ETERNAL with 200ms of input lag
Yeah, that ain't it, chief.

Wagie wagie get in your cagie

Attached: 6D3EB42D-8345-4832-A5AB-A7C865B57637.gif (250x385, 679K)

this, even normalfags will notice when their button presses aren't lining up with their actions, msot household consoles aren't even hard wired to their modem and will be subject to things like 4-6 other devices all on the same network at the same time.
The eggheads who want streaming to go big only know that it can work in a completely controlled environment and are detached as fuck from reality

If you look at the comments for the ad on youtube its a bunch of third worlders hoping for it.

Attached: 1559613807698.png (1023x968, 610K)

Doesn't mean I can't call the game "journalists" retards for thinking this will work in anyway.

I've seen more journalists desperately trying to make cope articles and cope tweets about how this MUST fail, usually by ones who have some vested interest in the video game industry that would be threatened by this project succeeding.

why the fuck would you think that shit is the future

Attached: Culture Wars.gif (359x202, 3.75M)

It won’t the tech isn’t here yet
Hell I had to buy a second cell phone just to make calls in the woods because my iPhone has 0 service where I work

Fuck Google, I know this shit is going to fail.
>selling products as service
Any company that does this deserves to get shot up.

Do you realistically think any hopes you have for this industry is going to go the way you think it will?

No it will not obviously.

Just another step towards the literal singularity, chief. We've ceased being humans and have become data creatures. It's only a matter of time before the brain-machine interface breaks the final barrier between technology and biology.

What is this again? I remember hearing about it, but it wasn’t that memorable, I guess.

It’s like an online Ouya, right?

Have sex.

>You think a teen gives a shit about how many ticks or latency he gets for fortnite?
Of course they do you retard. They want to try and be pro like their favorite streamer so they want any advantage possible.
You're such a dumb nigger if you think all zoomers are that retarded.
When I was in high school I had a lan cable going from the family room to my PS3 to get a slightly better ping. I'm sure kids today will do the same shit.

Ouya's downfall had a lot to do with the fact that it was a separate platform that required people to code entirely new games for it, on top of it having very lackluster firmware and hardware. It died out due to the lack of developers.

Stradia doesn't really face the same issues. It's disingenuous to claim otherwise. The main roadblocks to Stradia is securing people willing to license their games, but that's way easier than trying to encourage and excite people to code entirely new games or port them to your linux-based console.

The ouya ran android zoomer.

Google should pay ubisoft for some tips on how to shill.

Android is a derivative of linux. Still doesn't have a killer app. Anything on a mobile platform is all gacha shit.

Ridiculous Fishing is fun.

The point was any game engine that can build to android (unreal, unity, gamemaker, etc) can also build to the Ouya.
And linux is a very common platform that a lot of game engines can also build for.
You're a dumb nigger.

Attached: you-are-the-blackest.jpg (1294x478, 115K)

Because the awful corporate hell dystopia of cyberpunk is the only logical future at this point.

My story:
>poorfag from a third world country
>always wanted a PS2
>time passed and the PS3 appeared (news about the PS4 started), so, old models became cheap
>I bought a PS2 with tons of games
>can't play some mission on the first Monster Hunter because the servers died a long time ago
>this made me hate online gaming

>couldn't afford a decent PC, no internet in my slum and the energy here used to disappear for some hours every week
>time passed
>got a good PC by 2012 standards and a controller for Xbox
>downloaded the first Dark Souls
>couldn't use the controller because Microsoft deleted the app to force people to use Windows 10 (my PC is W7)
>had to download from another site
>now I have it saved here is any case
>this made me hate everything that is in the cloud

>got a job, so I could pay for useless stuff like books and games
>start to read (books)
>suddenly, economic crises in the country
>almost a dozen of publishing companies bankrupted since the crises started
>it was so bad that even the digital version of some books disappeared
>tons of old books and translations can't be found anymore
>a few books that I have here basically don't exist anymore
>two titles that I wanted to buy but were too expensive (35 dollars and 40 dollars) disappeared completely
>this made me hate everything else
If you don't own a physical copy and have 4 or 5 copies saved in different hard drives, than you don't have it at all.
Remember Megaupload?

Why the fuck would any developer choose to make games for a niche indie console instead of PC or sony/nintendo/microsoft's console? They all have bigger market share and getting a license to sell your pixelshit indie game on the microsoft store wasn't really a difficult task.

If you're going to develop for android specifically, why cater to a shitty console instead of tapping into the larger normie smartphone market?

There was no reason to develop games for the Ouya. The hardware was lackluster and the entire project was managed by an idiot. Google (aka Alphabet) is a multi-billion dollar megacorp that has made one of the most successful smartphone lines on top of being the primary competitor mobile OS to Apple's iOS.

Trying to compare Ouya and Stradia is retarded. Their victory or failure conditions are so drastically different.
