So after his becoming a counter guardian he doesn't really care about her, instead only focusing on killing his past self. This is why Fate Route Shirou reaches Avalon instead of becoming a counter guardian, he did care enough about Saber to keep his focus on her after she was gone.

Sparks Liner High is a proper Saber ending for HF and it's the only time Shirou ever figures out Triple-Linked Crane Wings, which I think is his coolest move. I mean, I don't want to disagree with you on this since Nine Lives Blade Works is an incredibly hype moment that's definitely the coolest thing to happen in the HF route if you're not counting bad endings. It's really a shame that the Fate route has to be used to set up the basics of the grail war and how Shirou can project, the only cool things he does in that route are caliburn, giving Saber avalon back, and the azoth dagger punch. All of which are undercut at some point by a cooler version of them happening in later routes, Shirou vs Kirei in Fate Route is weaker than Shirou vs Kirei in HF.

You are a gentleman of taste and a scholar to boot, I loved how it gave a narrative purpose to a random bunch of slice of life scenes with characters you were familiar with while weaving in a genuinely interesting mystery narrative that involves a new cast. I firmly believe that if you've read F/SN you have to immediately follow it up with F/HA. And the identity of Guy A from the horror story at the start being used by the writer of Strange Fake as a Master is immensely pleasing to me.

Just watched the first episode of the new Gainax show. God, the animation just looked so shitty. Nobody's gonna remember Gurren Lagann after the year's end.

It's stand out among other entries lately and even in Prisma. It's a completely different tone than prisma normally goes for. The author unabashedly decided to make a real fate story within the constraints of prisma's card system and still tie it into the prisma story properly.

It's extremely poignant as a thematic culmination to what was explored in the previous two routes, especially UBW. It's Shirou making the same decision people applauded there in a situation where it's heartbreaking. He truly manages to keep his promise to his father, only to suffer the same pain that broke Kiritsugu. The details don't matter, what matters is that we get to see where those ideals he's been touting for like 100 hours will inevitably lead. Taiga even says that it's not really a bad end or the result of a mistake, that's because how you take it depends almost entirely on how well Shirou has convinced you of his ideals up to that point.

One of the best parts about F/SN as a whole is the thematic buildup throughout the routes. In Fate route, he sees Saber's selflessness and thinks she's dumb for it. In UBW, he sees himself, and sees his path ends in despair, but continues to fight. In Heavens Feel, he realizes it's not worth to be selfless if he cant save the one he loves, and decides to abandon everything and chooses to save the one he loves, leading to the ending where he "dies".

Taking a single route by itself is kind of dumb when you don't see the character progression and the monologues he has. It's why the animes can't really rival the VN.

F/SN uses a multiple route structure better than any VN I've read. With other VNs there's usually a single route which obviously contains the main story, and then side routes that were added just because it's a convention, FSN tells it's actual story across multiple routes , and that's very rare for a VN to do, never mind to do well.

Who else are you supposed to think she is after she whips out Bellerophon? You know she can't be Bellerophon himself because she names her pegasus that.

Well if you haven't seen the Heaven's Feel movies then those are pretty cool. If you want more Fate then you can check out Strange Fake. Fate/Apocrypha is something most people don't seem to care for except for some of the characters. You could try Extra but that's a whole other rabbit hole you should only get into once you're done with the VNs. Also if you're into loli then there's Prisma Illya.

For non-Fate stuff there is the Tsukihime VN which is pretty good (personally I don't care for it as much as Fate but that's up to the person). Watch that and then you can watch one of my favorite shows Carnival Phantasm like the other user said. There's also Kara no Kyoukai which are a series of novels and movies that are my second favorite. The MC of KnK is also in Grand Order if you have her.
Really though take your time if you want to get into this stuff. There is a lot but translations are not exactly speedy for us.
