>tfw Great Rune just is a remake of this game >Lost Kingdoms, known as Rune (ルーン Rūn) in Japan, is a fantasy video game developed by FromSoftware and published by Activision in North America and Europe. The game was released in Japan on April 25, 2002; in North America on May 27, 2002; and in Europe on August 9, 2002. Lost Kingdoms is a card-based action role-playing game where battles are fought in real-time.
A sequel, Lost Kingdoms II, was released a year later.
That game was surprisingly fun. Never got around to playing 2.
Hudson Baker
I liked lost kingdoms and think a new iteration could be good.
Joshua Kelly
Please for the love of god revive this game series
Nathaniel Russell
Based Poster. this game was too good for it's time.
David Lopez
YES PLEASE YES.
Owen Anderson
I played two for a little bit and it's not as good. A lot of the previous spell types were nerfed and it feels like devs are saying, "U PRAY GAME MY WAY!".
Aaron Thomas
Fuck I need to replay that. rented it as a kid but I'm not sure if I ever finished it.
Anthony Morgan
>someone besides me remembers Lost Kingdoms Strangely comforting. Any sort of news for the series would make me really happy.
>lost kingdoms 1 you only need two things in your deck, healing and STEEL SKELETONS (and whip worm, fucking legend)
>Lost Kingdoms 2 Man i remember exp farming runs at the Desert level with Banshees. Armor piercing and Banshee kills gave extra exp for EVERY CARD IN YOUR DECK Transform cards were cool as hell.
Lost Kingdoms 1 felt like a tech demo but 2 is my favourite gamecube game. i would fuckng kill for a sequel.
Aiden Morales
i never played it, is it good? any recommandations of old from soft games before the souls era?beside armored core, i already played 1 and 2, but i prefer ZOE.
Julian Long
> Card based Into the trash. If this is true I will be very disappointed. You would think they would know better after Artifact.
Blake Reed
Holy fuck, I hope you're on to something OP.
I have 0 interest in anything From has done outside of Lost Kingdoms. If we get a 3rd one or a spiritual successor, I'll wet my pants.
Jackson Wilson
As a kid i UNIRONICALLY jerked it to this picture due to the exposed skin just below her navel
William Jones
You fucking kid, you clearly never played the game.
Jackson Torres
A gem for that gen. I had a great time getting all the cards, and exporting them to LK2. Zombie dragon was my favorite. It's a shame that game doesn't get more love
Nicholas Ross
Man I loved Lost Kingdom. Wish I had got around to playing the sequel.
Noah Perez
I never knew this was a From game, what a fun time I wonder if I still have my copy
Juan Sanchez
I loved this game, I was autistic enough to make a deck of 28 doppelgangers+2 blue dragons for fun.
Dylan Baker
>Lost Kingdom 3 >Soulsborne monsters and bosses appear as cards
Fund it From.
Ryder Martin
from games were a lot more varied before. they can't do that anymore since the souls days, and it shows : every games they released that wasn't a soulborne (Sekiro still count as one) did a major flop, see Armored core 5, Steel batallion heavy armor or Déraciné.
Jace Flores
The abilities are in a deck. You cycle through it as you do special moves. It’s very much an action game. Don’t sperg out just because you saw the word card
Daniel King
> Déraciné Flopped because it's a VR exclusive and VR itself is a flop
Andrew Brown
oh yeah did that come out lol
Eli Taylor
look up a video of gameplay at the very least before you talk shit
Evan Long
Rented this game as a kid several times to beat it. I'd kill for a modern interpretation, but From just aren't that type of company anymore. They seem scared shitless of trying anything different from the Souls formula.
Michael Perry
Most companies are, I want fun ideas from the ps2 era to be used more. Tired of seeing boaring done to death styles
Aiden Mitchell
Lost Kingdoms gets threads from time to time. If you want to talk about a forgotten GC cardgame, this is it.
flies WAY faster, and its B arrow-rain move is overpowered
Nolan Gomez
damn, when I was a kid I didn't care bout anything below the chest. God, I was such an ignorant little shit.
Camden Price
not the same user, but japanese lterally are why i'm attracted to girls, before playing those i didn't gave a shit. so i felt almost no emotion until 8-9 years old. after that, it was too late.
Dylan Richardson
They remixed this for pso2. A pretty good remix too. I'd prefer the original settings though in that game.
Jace Allen
The best GameCube games
Carson Gomez
I remember Nintendo Power's initial previews for it. They mentioned some cards would transform the main character, but that ended up being saved for the sequel.
