>Lost Kingdoms, known as Rune (ルーン Rūn) in Japan, is a fantasy video game developed by FromSoftware and published by Activision in North America and Europe. The game was released in Japan on April 25, 2002; in North America on May 27, 2002; and in Europe on August 9, 2002. i hope so

That game was surprisingly fun. Never got around to playing 2.

I liked lost kingdoms and think a new iteration could be good.

Please for the love of god revive this game series

Based Poster. this game was too good for it's time.

YES
PLEASE YES.

I played two for a little bit and it's not as good. A lot of the previous spell types were nerfed and it feels like devs are saying, "U PRAY GAME MY WAY!".

Fuck I need to replay that. rented it as a kid but I'm not sure if I ever finished it.

>someone besides me remembers Lost Kingdoms
Strangely comforting. Any sort of news for the series would make me really happy.

>lost kingdoms 1
you only need two things in your deck, healing and STEEL SKELETONS (and whip worm, fucking legend)

>Lost Kingdoms 2
Man i remember exp farming runs at the Desert level with Banshees. Armor piercing and Banshee kills gave extra exp for EVERY CARD IN YOUR DECK
Transform cards were cool as hell.

Would be cool

given how huge single-player card/deck building games are right now, i feel like a re-release would be super popular.

I liked using the distraction tree and black dragon.

Post your favorite card, assholes.

>tfw Great Rune just is a remake of this game
What do you mean JUST a remake? Lost Kingdoms is the shit.

Lost Kingdoms 1 felt like a tech demo but 2 is my favourite gamecube game. i would fuckng kill for a sequel.

i never played it, is it good?
any recommandations of old from soft games before the souls era?beside armored core, i already played 1 and 2, but i prefer ZOE.

> Card based
Into the trash. If this is true I will be very disappointed. You would think they would know better after Artifact.

Holy fuck, I hope you're on to something OP.

I have 0 interest in anything From has done outside of Lost Kingdoms. If we get a 3rd one or a spiritual successor, I'll wet my pants.

As a kid i UNIRONICALLY jerked it to this picture due to the exposed skin just below her navel

You fucking kid, you clearly never played the game.

A gem for that gen. I had a great time getting all the cards, and exporting them to LK2. Zombie dragon was my favorite. It's a shame that game doesn't get more love

Man I loved Lost Kingdom. Wish I had got around to playing the sequel.

I never knew this was a From game, what a fun time I wonder if I still have my copy

I loved this game, I was autistic enough to make a deck of 28 doppelgangers+2 blue dragons for fun.

>Lost Kingdom 3
>Soulsborne monsters and bosses appear as cards

Fund it From.

from games were a lot more varied before.
they can't do that anymore since the souls days, and it shows : every games they released that wasn't a soulborne (Sekiro still count as one) did a major flop, see Armored core 5, Steel batallion heavy armor or Déraciné.

The abilities are in a deck. You cycle through it as you do special moves. It’s very much an action game. Don’t sperg out just because you saw the word card

> Déraciné
Flopped because it's a VR exclusive and VR itself is a flop

oh yeah did that come out lol

look up a video of gameplay at the very least before you talk shit

Rented this game as a kid several times to beat it. I'd kill for a modern interpretation, but From just aren't that type of company anymore. They seem scared shitless of trying anything different from the Souls formula.

Most companies are, I want fun ideas from the ps2 era to be used more. Tired of seeing boaring done to death styles

Lost Kingdoms gets threads from time to time. If you want to talk about a forgotten GC cardgame, this is it.

Absolute retard

The announcer just needed more energy in this game. The soundtrack was absolute god tier.

>tfw I did the same thing, but to the protagonist from 2
That belly was a thing of beauty.

I knew they had a bunch of different games but played that at a time when I didn’t know or care about developers for the most part

Everyone would just spam Guardian Ape.

This game was the shit too. I feel like Lost Kingdoms was way crazier and experimental though though.

I listened to so much fucking Queen while playing PSO3.

youtube.com/watch?v=27mQ9m9T518
PSO had some banging music in general.

The evolution of the Birdman, the Garuda in LK2

flies WAY faster, and its B arrow-rain move is overpowered

damn, when I was a kid I didn't care bout anything below the chest. God, I was such an ignorant little shit.

not the same user, but japanese lterally are why i'm attracted to girls, before playing those i didn't gave a shit. so i felt almost no emotion until 8-9 years old.
after that, it was too late.

They remixed this for pso2. A pretty good remix too. I'd prefer the original settings though in that game.

The best GameCube games

I remember Nintendo Power's initial previews for it. They mentioned some cards would transform the main character, but that ended up being saved for the sequel.
