Lunches were my favorite
I could go for a lemon-lime soda right now.

The GEP-gun is the best way for a silent approach
Harley Filben is whacked out paranoid, watch for boobytraps
I take it he was agreeable?
I can't get into this game for some reason. I was bored halfway through the tutorial and when I started the actual game they threw a bunch of names and info at me too fast to comprehend. the controls are kind of weird too
you can rebind the controls silly
It's not your fault, the game is simply too intelligent for zoomers.
I can still hear the music
>corporations pay 18% tax while the average american pays 26%
>Since 1950 self-employment has dropped by 72%
UNATCO conversation is the best track in the game.
Most everyone gets bored during the first level. I did too. Its designed to be very open to give you an idea of the scope of the game, but can seem overwhelming on first playthrough while providing NO context. You only NEED to get to the top of the Statue. Just ignore all the enemies and do that. The game really starts getting good shortly after the first level, its absolutely worth picking up again.
It seems like an FPS, but Deus Ex is not. Its an RPG 100%, so your initial aiming will be terrible until you improve your weapons stats.
The story is full of bizarre shit and characters, in typical cheezy Sci-fi fashion. Don't expect to "get it" at first, just enjoy the ride. Also, talk to every NPC, some of the dialogue is incredible.
If you go around the back and climb up the boxes, it should take about 10 mins. Restart the level and take the GEP gun if you haven't.
Another reason why this is an RPG: Its much longer than your typical FPS game. Like 20+ hours. So be prepared.
nah the conversation theme at everett's house is better
They had me working on immuno-globulin encodings.
what are you, some kind of terrorist sympathiser?
Just in case though, we're police.
>It seems like an FPS, but Deus Ex is not. Its an RPG 100%, so your initial aiming will be terrible until you improve your weapons stats.
How is this supposed to be a good thing?
new deus ex within the next 10 years, you heard it here first
sense of progression
how is it a bad thing?
I wonder, could you go postal in the HQ long before you realise the whole truth about MJ12? And if so, would that sequence break the game?
Specificaly, can you just kill Simmons when he's leaving the HQ?
The game was made in an era where letting the player make their own fun was good game design. You're probably some 20 something pleb who needs a skinner box.
I think there is a way to somehow make Simon vulnerable to death at UNATCO. I guess this would set his death flag but all I could see happening is that he wouldn't show up for his boss fight.
As far as I can tell, the game would just halt if you didn't die to the unatco guards.
Its weird, even for a 2001 game. The controls suck honestly, but thats not why people like this game so much. You'll get used to it.
Can we not? There's only one good one.
Don't know what you're talking about, I've never had much problem with controls in this game once I rebound the keys. The interface works fine.
Because it's an RPG. You're supposed to be shit at using guns until you level up. And having poor accuracy make more sense than doing less damage.
HR and MD was OK.
The elite are all about transcendence and living forever and the secrets of the universe and they want to know all this, some are good some are bad some are a mix; but the good ones don't ever want to organize, the bad ones tend to want to organize because they lust after power. Powerful consciousnesses don't want to dominate other people, they want to empower them so they don't tend to get together until things are really late in the game, then they come together and evil is always defeated. Because good is so much stronger. And we're on this planet and Einstein's physics showed it, Max Planck's physics showed it- there's at least twelve dimensions. And now that's all the top scientists and billionaires are coming out and saying it's a false hologram, it is artificial, the computers are scanning it and finding tension points where it's artificially projected and gravity is bleeding in to this universe. That's what they call dark matter. So we're like a thought or a dream that's a wisp in a computer program, some God's mind, whatever. They're proving it all, it's all coming out.
You’re right, it’s called “Human Revolution”
MD was boring shit
also they killed Sarif and shat on the VA
>also they killed Sarif
Sarif's in MD, though. Of course he probably died just like Adam.
prob both clones lmao
Holy shit.... Jaime can you pull that up?
turn it over to the quartermaster
ya know everyone on Yea Forums says this but i rebound the keys and the game still just felt like shit. it was definitely made in 2000. but it's still one of my favorite games.
pewdiepie brought me here
I need you to escape. I can cut power to the thread only a few moments without being detected. Get ready.
invisible war wasn't THAT great
do not open
only problem i had with the controls was the augmentations
Old?
I'll show you old.
>gunter complains about only getting lemon-lime soda
>you can only get orange soda
pottery
Did I miss something in the intro or do they expect us to believe that the NSF was able to successfully seige liberty island when it is hiding the HQ of a top-secret anti-terrorist organisation that has mechanically augmented super soldiers.
NSF had sympathizers working for them within UNATCO.
Am I just bad or is the MJ12 facility a hard section to get through on a first play through? It's kicking my ass
I was completely hooked when this happened the first time. So good.
