Anime fighting games

I am having problems here. I'm trying to find good anime fighting games with a little bit of depth in gameplay, or at least fun ones. Of course I played Tenkaichi/FighterZ. Also played OP Grand Adventure which is a great Power Stone clone, and Ultimate ninja series on PS2. And I played every Storm games, but I am trying to avoid that kind of arena fighters because they get boring and repetitive since there is 0 depht and pure button mashing with fanservice

The best one by miles is Heritage for the Future, Gekitou Ninja is pretty nice and Xeno I'd say is leagues better than the Tenkaichi games, One Piece got the short end of the stick and doesn't have any good ones sadly

>Heritage for the Future
Is that the ps1 Jojo game? because I played it a lot long ago

Yeah, it's for arcade too (you should definitely play it there) and it's one of my favorite games period.
it's made by roughly the same team who did Third Strike so there's that too

Gintama is the only good shonen

MASSAGE MY HEART

Full metal alchemist and especially HXH is incredibly gay though, it's almost laughable. Yuyu hakusho is braindead garbage.

Hajime no Ippo is the best shonen, retard

Talking mad shit for someone in Spirit Sword distance.

Reminder that Psyren still doesn't have an anime adaptation.

Jump Ultimate Stars

this really was true 10+ years ago. Jojo and one piece weren't cool to bring up even among other anime fans. now they're really well known and casual. it's fucking surreal as someone who got into those manga first because they weren't the typical anime style and drew on western influence more, obviously from 2 completely different sources but still.

Second for jojo. Most 2d anime games are full of choppiness (thanks arcsys) but heritage has some great animation and does for jojo what fighterz does for DBZ. Combine that with solid gameplay and excellent treatment of the source material and you have the best anime fighter ever made.

Though to be fair, even though it is based on a manga, it's gameplay goes against the anime fighter sub-genre
