I don't really like this version because it lets you slide blocks for absolute days

if you mean that you can just turn blocks for like 4 seconds when they're being pushed down at lightning speed then yeah, it's pretty stupid.

OT: If you're good enough at Tetris it comes down to how long you wanna play, not how long you can. At least that's true for this version. I once got around 2 million and I stopped there because I had been playing for like 30 minutes and it was getting kinda boring

I always accidentally hard drop in the wrong fucking spot then have to try and clear it with like 6 lines of space at the top and just end up doing singles for 40 minutes until I die

For me it's a test of endurance to see how long I can go without fucking up because I know tetris theory but my fingers don't always do what I tell them to.

playing too much 99 on the switch made me a little less comfortable with the keyboard, my right pinky was about to fall off at the end for whatever reason

Keyboard used to be my primary Tetris tool but all the Tetris 99 really fucked up my coordination with the controls layout.

I kinda "cheat" around the keyboard controls and using a controller I'm more used to with joy2key or something like that. It helps me a lot.

Also, I find that the difficulty really spikes on level 21.

in other games you can 'charge' piece movement before it spawns, here it spawns at the middle and depending on your DAS settings you might not be able to tug it on side

also the lock-time is shorter if you just move your piece from side to side and not spin your piece like some meat
