I'm literally stuck in a wall, due to using a DLC character that teleports onto enemies and lands to the side of them...in a closed in hallway filled with enemies.

I played it on Switch so I didn't have achievements to get anyway, I fully completed the collection book as part of 100% completion and that included all the statues aside from more obvious stuff like all endings.

It was also just a remaster of a PS3 game. I guess if Sega considers a new game important enough to reveal at E3, they might be putting some money into it this time. Either that, or they don't have much else to show.

What else does Sega have? It's too soon for another Valkyria Chronicles and Sakura Wars has already been announced. Skies of Arcadia is my favorite game ever but it's not happening, I've long lost hope even for an HD port.

I hope so, the recent Shining games have been ALMOST good (still better than the camelot games) and I love Tony Taka's art. If they refine the combat it will be a day 1 buy for me.
Hope they have great characters with great voice actors as usual.

The last game literally had a demo on the show floor and it was a remaster... a new game definitely would be high enough on SEGA's radar to appear in ONE of the conferences

Tony is just the artist. He's ultra-sameface but he's not the key issue, if Sega asked him to draw different characters or hired an additional artist then the problem with that would be solved but it wouldn't make the games any less bland. They're lacking heavily in other key departments of the games, and honestly they really aren't Shining games of the same series anyway, they have absolutely zero connection to the original series from what I can see.

What a coincidence! I just finished the original mode of Refrain.
It feels like a really cheap game in a lot of places, mainly the lack of animation during cutscenes, but I paid only a cheap price.
Is there no NG+? I loaded my clear save and it just put me back to before the final pair of fights.

Shining III is basically game of thrones with an ancient evil at the end. And the little fairy that "tells your story" actually meet you and join at the end.

No, there's what you'd call an "endgame +", meaning that you restart before the final fight but some things unlock, namely more Grimoire stories including one for each girl's ending you get. If you want to start a new game, you have to start fresh in Refrain mode, no carryovers.

It's probably Sakura Wars, I'm sure a PC version will be announced there. I'm not saying it's impossible for them to announce a new game period, just that I think it's very unlikely since it's not something they really do.

Also super bosses in several previously empty areas such as the top and bottom rooms of Gaelritz Prison, the castle on top of the snow mountain and basically every other big empty room like those.

Never played them till this one. I didn't mind it, the main character reminded me of those ridiculous over powered d&d characters people make. In the sense you can turn into a dragon. But I found doing that and just wrecking shit was fun.

I liked the idea too of the party essentially being all bards.

Also he constantly over designs his characters. The only ones that look decent, that people seem to like, are the ones he tries to make 'plain.'

I just hope its goof and that SEGA took the criticisms from Refrain.

For female humans/elves he doesn't really overdesign them at all, in fact they tend to look extremely bland outside of the occasional frilly outfit or goofy mage gear.
