Why don't you have a quest yet?
VR Thread
Because it's a piece of garbage that runs games at 30fps and has the power of a low end phone?
Because VR is a meme gimmick fad that is already over.
>games at 30fps
why are you lying user?
>power of a low end phone?
its as powerful as a switch
Recommend me some games for normal uncut vr.
Oh man its the same shill with the same webms
Call me when quest isn't overpriced and actually has good games
Brutal Doom in VR is a grand fucking time and I recommend everyone to give it a try.
ahem
>quest
>overpriced
They are likely selling at a loss considering the hardware inside you idiot
Nigger its a fucking mobile processor
Shits cheap as fuck and costs nothing to produce
Classic FPS games in VR are a fucking blast honestly.
Doom is a little jank because of all the Sprite weapons but Quake and Serious Sam play beautifully.
Being able to rocket jump and snipe in the air or hold out chainsaws and spin around in a circle slicing everything up like a blender is some of the most fun I've had in years.
>400$
>two controllers
>two seperate OLED displays with the resolution of the vive pro
>IPD adjustment
>internal batteries, snapdragon processor, lenses
>4 high refresh rate tracking cameras
There literally isn't a better value product in VR right now
A Switch? Okay.
>Huawei P9
1080p
3/4GB RAM
Cortex A72 CPU
900MHz GPU
>Switch
720p
2GB RAM
Cortex A57/53 CPU
1GHz GPU
So exactly what he said, basically
>Quest
>2 OLED 1440x1600p 72hz displays
>4 GB RAM
>overclocked and actively cooled snapdragon processor, making it faster than any phone on the market right now, even compared to the newest gen SoCs
And it's perfectly fine for VR if optimized right
Just check back in 2 years
>overpriced
they are literally selling out, how is it overpriced?
The new MAC will sell out, doesn't mean its not overpriced.
again, how is it overpriced considering the hardware? They are 100% selling the 400$ variant at a loss considering the internals, 2 OLEDs and everything
Shut the fuck up you retarded Shill.
>tfw Gmod in VR allows me to live out my degenerate fantasies of being stepped on by giant monsters
The future is beautiful.
you are an actual moron lmao
explain how its overpriced
thanks 4 free bumps
Look at this retarded newfag who doesn't know about sage
Going to buy an index instead
you have been bumping the whole time then and must have forgot, thanks retard
Honestly Trevor Saves the Universe is really great
What are you playing right now Yea ForumsRos?
Pretty happy with my PSVR I got for $200, but I'd probably get this too if I wasn't going to upgrade my PC when Ryzen 3 comes out. True wireless is the dream.
fuck off shill every day you post the same thread with the same videos like it isn't obvious you're being payed
Rocket League in 4k with my Rift gathering dust in my closet, why?
>Quest
Go is where it's at.
>Rocket League
Jesus christ
What are you implying...
>play online VR games since 2017
>always adults playing
>2019
>90% children speaking in memes
This is rampant even in Pavlov. I thought the VR price would filter these retards, but fucking Quest ruined it all
What's with the rabid obsession with Quest. Feels like it's one or two guys defending it in every thread and shitposting how it's better than any other headset.
It's a terrible normie game
>2 year old snapdragon processor
>only 72hz
also having higher res than the switch makes it even worse, since the GPU can't handle that resolution, it has to render at lower res and upscale
So is OP just gonna ignore the fact that the quest has had mono audio since launch?
And that the headstraps and ergonomics are shit?
And that the shitty inside out tracking breaks if your hands are too close to your body because oculus insists on using one of the worst training techs on the market?
And that existing games have to have a completely separate neutered version of themselves made to even run on it?
Its the equivalent of buying a Wii to play shitty ports of multiplatform titles. Its the worst thing you could possibly by for VR right now.
Somehow oculus has managed to just go backwards in every category since the original dev kits.
saying "nuh uh" when presented with evidence is not a firm argument, user.
What is tis game? How much tis cost? Can i play it with my carbord VR made out of a cell-phone?
>evidence
mobile posters are in denial
Bitch, you pick that shit up.
What the fuck am I watching?
Cause I ordered an Index.
Drunken nip with an Oculus placed on his head while he was passed out and then woken up again.
When do you expect to get it?
June 28th
Does it really take that long to transport or are they manufacturing as they go?
Thanks for the filename user.
go away /vrg/ fag
That's not very nice.
cope
So?
Go back to your containment general you faggot, your prefab GPU particles are old and shitty.
I don't know I just discovered them today. I'm not from the cesspool by the way I only post in vr threads on here sometimes.
There isn't even crossplay so how can you complain, I haven't heard a single squeaker on the quest alpha either
>that the quest has had mono audio since launch?
not true, that was a production error with some of the in-ear headphones, not the quest audio itself. Educate yourself before talking shit
>And that the headstraps and ergonomics are shit?
better than the vive or original rift
>completely separate neutered version of themselves made to even run on it?
only true for Rec Room and VRChat, everything is on par besides graphics, and argueable the lack of a wire makes some games more enjoyable.
>Somehow oculus has managed to just go backwards in every category since the original dev kits
I can not argue that external sensors aren't better, but inside out the way oculus does it with 4 or more cameras is good enough for the great majority of games.
Even using iron-sight is a non-issue if you aren't a chin aiming moron
Because I preordered a Valve Index
Blade and Sorcery is well with the cost. If Skyrim was better I'd disappear into VR for a few years.
look at this guy shilling so hard for the weakest VR headset on the market
SuperHotVR is pretty damn great
>points refuted
>s-shill! shiiiill!
lmao
It's the best value headset on the market and the defining kit for years to come.
The lack of wire and instant startup, the best roomscale setup that takes less than 30 seconds, automatically going into paththrough mode when leaving the play area make it the most frictionless VR headset yet, which is important if you want to have any hope for adaption.
Janky PCVR will never make VR profitable. It's a shitty marketplace to develop in, hence why everything coming out is either indie shovelware or directly funded by oculus or sony to push their respective platform.
The Go sold over a million units in a year and it was a glorified 3DoF videoplayer, the interest for the Quest is even greater despite double the pricepoint. It's the most important piece of tech VR has seen since 3 years. Whatever tiny number valve sold of the index is irrelevant for Virtual Reality as an ecosystem in itself.
Wireless is great. That said, it's in early console status for me. I'll be interested in about 2 years from now when it has more games and there's appealing bundles.
wow you're still typing. is facebook paying you per word or letter?
Check back in 6 months, apparently Oculus is on track to adding 50+ more games until the end of the year, though the launch lineup is already nice in my opinion.
Can you not engage in any other way, have I really shat on your shit opinions so hard?
Damn, I hope Oculus store has sales on shit. Some of those prices are outlandish.
benefits of a walled garden
What mod is this
>tfw no good mech game still
>Janky PCVR will never make VR profitable
look at this soulless kike pov
How the fuck do you even walk, run or jump in vr
Um do you want to vomit? Idiot.
press buttons and move sticks
move stick forward lmao
Usually move with the left stick and turn with the right, teleportation has mostly been phased out because of how shitty it is, that and contrary to Valve's original dues and don'ts; most people adapt to VR motion sickness in a very short amount of time.
Walking can be either moving the stick a little bit or actually walking in your VR space if you have a game and setup that uses room scale VR mode.
Jumping is usually a button but there's some games where you physically jump to jump in game.
It's still varies game to game but the standard and best gameplay experiences usually come from smooth movement and smooth turning.
Just the Gmod VR mod, you can find it in the workshop.
It's pretty jank and needs a lot of ironing out, but it works and most of the game's features are there.
Just expect to do some fiddling and a lot of models and weapons to look weird or not work correctly.
So a PC with a GTX 970 and FX-8350 will be able to run VR decently well, right? Better than a Quest?
Yes, though mainly because the vast majority of VR games are low poly indie games designed to be available to such a system
1060 3gb minimum unless you want to vomit
