I've been playing Anomaly and it's the most well-rounded and balanced mod I've played so far. It's basically Call of Misery but with a ton of new features and balancing improvements, and it's the only mod on the X-Ray 64bit build so it's far more stable

It has free weekends and sales pretty often, and the summer sale is close.

can't fix something so inherently flawed, you'd have to design the game from the ground up again.

SWAT Elite Force came out which is an overhaul mod of SWAT 4 and pretty much a requirement if you want to play Coop/multiplayer

Ready Or Not (aka SWAT 5) is coming out next year but we have to wait and see if it's a scam or not

Yes and it's open source so it's standalone and free, Anomaly is the only mod so far to utilize it though

good game, movement are stiff but otherwise it is very well balanced and is a pretty good shooter

Played Halo 3 ODST recently, it was pretty good, also been playing SWAT 4 which is one of the best tactical shooters I've played.
