Did you notice before the player threw the Poké Ball, there was an option that asked if you wanted to catch it or not? My guess is that only one person gets to catch the Pokémon, but everyone else gets rewarded in some way for passing it up.

Dynamax is better than Z moves in every way, all your moves are Z moves for three turns. Plus, you get the power boost of Megas, AND certain Pokemon will be able to Gigantamax and have form changes too, just like Megas. It's both concepts put together, and it actually works well.

Looks like super powered Mega Evolutions, except they only last for 3 turns. There are wild ones you can fight with people locally or online that look like super bosses.

Um, no, not at all. It's fucking horrible. Megas were brilliant. New designs, and basically 4th evolutions with new typing and abilities but temporary. Z moves were not okay, but at least they showed off a unique, powerful move.

'Dynamaxing' is like something out of a nightmare. There is no thought put into it. At all. 'It just makes your moves stronger bro!" You're a fucking child. It does nothing to improve the gameplay and your Pokemon is just upscaled, as is your moves. It changes nothing. It does nothing. It doesn't look good, cool, or anything. It's fucking bad in every way possible and makes zero sense.

The problem with this shit is that you will just use it on the already strong Pokemon. Megas were a good concept but executed poorly because mons like Ttar or Chomp got megas despite them already being super strong. If all megas went to niche stuff like Lopunny, Kang or Mawhile it would have been much better.

I've been replaying the series in anticipation and holy fucking shit this shit looks like total garbage. It's clear GameFreak has no overall direction for the series, they're just throwing random concepts together to see what sticks and what new gimmicks they can use to justify a new game to turn a profit. Pokemon was perfected in Gen 2 and everything afterwards might as well not even be canon. The series needs a hard reboot that gets back to the core concepts of the series with a fresh new set of mons, it's completely unsustainable to keep adding more and more layers of bullshit each gen like this.
